21. September – 3. October 2023. A bit about my favorite city in Romania, the city that sparked the Romanian Revolution that ended badly for Ceaușescu, and is one of the 2023 European Capitals of Culture: Timișoara, the “capital of Banat,” famed for its architectural representation of Art Nouveau and Wiener Secession, although it shines with socialist modernism / brutalism as well. Lucky we are that it also happens to be the closest city to Vršac, the Serbian border town we call home!
