The inaugural FIM World Supercross Championship in Abu Dhabi at Etihad Arena was a thrilling spectacle, leaving fans on the edge of their seats with a night of high-octane action, unexpected twists, and a fair share of controversy.
The WSX main event delivered all the drama and intensity that fans had hoped for. In an incredible display of skill and determination, Joey Savatgy, riding for Rick Ware Racing, emerged as the victor. Savatgy’s performance in the bar-banging main event was nothing short of spectacular, as he battled his way to the top step of the podium. He showcased his resilience by finishing with a remarkable 1-4-2 record throughout the night, demonstrating that consistency and unwavering determination pay off in the world of Supercross.
Following closely behind Savatgy was Dean Wilson of Fire Power Honda, who put on an impressive performance throughout the event. Despite the intense competition and challenging track conditions, Wilson’s skills and commitment secured him a well-deserved second place in the overall standings.
Motoconcept’s Vince Friese also made a significant impact on the event, earning his place on the podium with tenacity and his aggressive riding style. Friese’s presence added an extra layer of excitement to the competition, making it a night to remember for Supercross fans.
Defending WSX Champion Ken Roczen faced a particularly tough battle as he aimed to retain his title. Throughout the night, Roczen had to overcome the significant disadvantage of starting from the back row in each of the three finals. Despite the odds stacked against him, Roczen’s determination and unwavering spirit were evident as he fought his way back through the pack in each race. His resilience made for an inspiring performance, even if he didn’t manage to secure a spot on the podium with 4th overall on the night.

Why are these riders still doing this to themselves? Nothing about this series looks remotely professional. Makes American supercross look so good.
Love 4 SX but Vince needs a penalty or he will keep being a douche, you block pass that's cool but when you are block passed back you can't cut the track and go back in front that's gaining a position of track that won't fly in any form of motor sport
He shouldn’t be invited anymore. We won’t miss him.
The most boring series ever. Lame is an understatement . Too bad for the world they have to waste their money. Stick to the GP series!
Land of the giant sand box and you cram this track in lmfao
#3 has antisocial personality disorder
I’m with the majority of commenters here, I can’t watch this sh!t show purely because of Friese. If there’s an Australian round, I won’t be paying money to be in the stands just to watch the piece of crap Friese ruin a good night of racing

HEY WSX!! Why did you guys not penalize Vince… your series is a JOKE I hope SMX takes you out of business… wasting our tiime with Circus Cross, you chumps ar e a joke..
Where is Barcia when you need him? Friese needs a lesson
Pit bike track
Well with the world all screwed up why are we over there to begin with
I’d Barcia was running the number 3 he would have been disqualified
Vince needs to retire , not only is he a danger and risk , but dude has never been good
Wandering how does the F' man still have a pro license when is skill set is way below the rest of the pros on the track! time to move on buddy
Friese needs to be canned ASAP. Dude is horrific at riding and terrific at injuring people. Dangerous to have such a trash rider out there with people trying to legitimately compete. They better find a way to take some, if not all of his money made through racing in fines
My dad is 83 and we watch all the races together and he was like what the hell is this.
Wsx; tight racing and great camera angles. That was a fun watch. Keep it up 👍
Don't really like that kind of start formation
That track was garbage.
Awful race track
What happens when the fastest starter is the slowest rider on the track?!?
I’m sure kenny could have got up quicker and on the the bike no matter how much pain he’s in and ride a few meters over the line , don’t know what he’s thinking..
Shame he was riding super good
I can’t wait for the day they get rid of this English commentator, he commented for far to long now
😵👈🏼
Vince Friese the mobile chicane
The track is a joke-
Nothing good will come of this.
Hope the riders take the money and run.
B grade at best.
Friese is going to get someone seriously injured…no respect.
WSX IS A JOKE.
