During a round the world trip, we stopped off in Japan, visiting many places on Japan’s main island of Honshu, visiting Tokyo, Kyoto, Nara, Osaka and Hiroshima. Before getting to Japan, we purchased the Japan Rail Pass, something which i highly recommend doing before getting there. We traveled on many of the high speed Shinkansen trains, which are in a world class all of their own. You can set your watch by the timeliness of the trains. I took a multitude of video and still photos using gopros, sony and nikon cameras, with backups of technical equipment, with laptops and hard drives too. We had a film crew follow us for three days, which is why you might see film crew in some of my shots. Japan is a place where I would strongly recommend travelling to. Since this October (2023) the Japan Rail Pass price has increased 70%, due to the sheer number of tourists using the network, dont let this put you off planning a future visit, as the scenery, people, food and culture is simply amazing. Japanese people and their culture is something to be experienced.
