I was back in Bangkok and staying in the Bang Lamphu area of the Phra Nakhon district. This is one of the oldest parts of Bangkok and is the most popular amongst backpackers and party-seekers. This is the area where you will find Khao San Road.
Before I came to Bangkok, I had heard lots about Khao San Road and a lot of what I was told was not positive. It took me a while to actually visit the area and I was surprised how much I enjoyed it.
Since then, I have stayed in the area many times. Not only is it home to some of the best food I had in the whole of Thailand, but it is very cheap compared to other parts of Bangkok. There is a whole lot more to this district than Khao San Road.
So join me as I explore the bars, the food, the night markets and the bars again in this misunderstood district in Bangkok.
