I get annoyed when people refer to the NHS as free, it is not free, we pay / paid for it. The lack of healthcare especially as you get older is one of the reasons i want out of the UK . However if you wish to use the NHS just stay registered at a friends address, the same as any full time van lifer would do . no one is going to ask for proof of residency when you come back and go down the Doctors.
On your new property would you have like a small holding like pigs ,goats chickens 😊

Small tip, get quickly into queue to register with a local GP practice as alot of pressure on small practices at the moment. Our public hospitals are busy, long wait times but staff always do their best and there's standard fees. With regard to private health insurance…shop around!!! Both of you will be a breath of fresh air and absolute gift to your new local community 🎉🎉
