      Another very interesting video – thanks guys! Just fyi – 'contemporaries' are people who existed at the same time as a person you are talking about (in this case Robert Burns) – can be a similar age as well. Oh, Chicco really loves his gingerbread man toy! 🥰p.s. apple turnovers – yum!!

      Ailsa Craig is where all the granite comes from for making curling stones, and a fresh load will have been collected to make the new stones for the next Winter Olympics, also Stranraer is known as having 3 Olympic curlers born and raised here – Vicky Wright , Bobby Lammie & Hammy McMillan they all learned to play at the North West Castle Hotel which has it's own curling rink .

      Hi enjoying your videos as always I'm Scottish have been in England for 40years in Scotland when you die you revert back to your maiden name also not sure if you have realised his most famous work Auld lang Syne if I remember rightly he was buried in a simple grave then moved there x

      Dumfries is a beautiful Town, and it’s so interesting walking round graveyards, if you are ever up in Edinburgh if you have time some amazing old graveyards to walk around, best wishes as always,

      Lisa and Mark don’t do Ireland when children are on school holidays. So from the end of June to beginning of Sept best stay away. But all the other times are absolutely amazing. Love Ireland so much xxx

      Hi Lisa and Mark the George hotel in Stranraer suffered from water ingress and has deteriorated since 2007 it is a class B listed building and the council now own it to safeguard it from further deterioration and its hope to be restored as the george hotel
