S2 Ep1: EXODUS. The Long Way EAST. We leave the beautiful canals and rivers of inland France and turn left. What’s out there? No time for emotions, let’s check the sails and rigging. We know the wind can blow strong and we want to harness that power. On the way to explore as far east as we safely can, OPTIONS calls into coastal towns and villages, bays and beaches, delving into the history of the people who shaped our world as it is today. After two years of relative calm on canals, the wind and waves change the feel of our journey, catching the breeze and living life on full tilt – no, not really – we’re a bit more laid back than that! 😉
In Sete we stand where more than 4500 refugees boarded a ship built for 600 and uncover the modern history affecting people and families caught up in conflict.
