Based Greece driving experience 🫨

We rented a car & drove around both Santorinni & Mykonos 🚗.

⬇️ HERE IS WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ⬇️

🌞SANTORINI
– Having a car made it so much more convenient as a lot of the attractions were far apart and the bus system was too slow
– For parking, there are public lots available or street parking
– If you are drive with caution, the roads were manageable
– We drove during the shoulder season so there was a lot less people which made driving & parking less stressful
– Check with your accommodation to make sure they have parking on site
– Take photos / videos of your rental car before hand as a lot of them were pretty scartched up

🌞 MYKONOS
– Roads were A LOT tighter which made it trickier than driving in Santorini
– Mykonos is smaller so you could get away without a car if you are staying downtown. However, accommodations are also 3 times the price in downtown and beaches aren’t accessible without a mode of transportation
– We drove during the shoulder season. I can’t imagine how crazy it would be during high season.
– Taxis were expensive. Negotiate a price before getting into taxis. As a lot of them don’t use the meter and will name a random price.
