Join me on this special day as I meet with two subscribers and start the Holiday Season in Riga Latvia.
Riga looks amazing in white and we head to the Old Town of Riga for the opening of the 2023 Christmas Market.
We visit the nice locals, the friendly vendors and enjoy some local specialities to keep us warm.
If you enjoy adventure videos from the former Soviet Union and Central & Eastern Europe, then grab your vodka, some zakusky and join me as we drink our way around the 2023 Riga Christmas Market in Latvia.

Priecīgus Ziemassvētkus un laimīgu jauno gadu 🥂
funny how brits panic in uk when they see this much snow-can you make a video about this, put that in in your next podcast
Thanks for another video from Riga.
Awesome video 😁❄️🍷
Tower Street! Without snow no x-mas feeling !
Tell you what bro even if i hate driving in the winter time it has a beautiful relaxing vibe 😊.
I loved that market ! Great video!
Yeah… I live in Riga, been here 4 years now. It's not all idyllic Xmas scenery., it quickly turned slushy and icy! And the ice/snow clearing company that took over has done a terrible job this year, piling the snow up from the roads onto the pavements. And Tornu iela used to be cleared quite quickly (I use it almost every day) but nothing's really happened this year.
AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE OIH OIH OIH

great video as usual. we see the sun in winter in riga because there is nothing more beautiful than snow and sun. I have the impression that it is often overcast in Riga

10.07 In that case, I beat you both! I was in South Africa in 1976 and I was in the Ukraine, in Kharkiv in the summer of 1982. It is a shame that I did not take it more seriously and have a camera, mind you, technology was poor in those days, in fact back in 1982, the best I could have had was an 8-millimeter cine camera! I have also been a student of the Russian language for a long time as well. I bought my first book a copy of Teach Yourself Russian in a bookshop on Epsom High Street circa 1972 and stuck with it as later I won a scholarship to study Russian during the winter of 1983/84 at the Pushkin Institute, Moscow before graduating with a BA in Russian in 1985. After graduation, my career really took off and I reached high things, literally, high things, driving a green double-deck bus between Guildford and Croydon!
I like your video and I like the shots you took crossing the river. In fact, that is my favorite part of Riga, the tree-lined river reminds me a little of a Parisian-type park.
Great vedio ..if you are a traveler so i recommend you to visit Pakistan you would be amazed to see the hospitality, the love and the beauty of that country..
Great seeing places I was in earlier in the year, including the ukranianian cherry bar! I will be back next year in the summer months, I love the balsam bar Black Magic, give it a go,the balsam infused chocolates are to die for!
