Todays adenture is a walk through Korea’s historic Hangae Village on a rainy day during the winter.

Welcome to Hangae Village, a truly traditional Hanok village with 500 years of history and still inhabited by descendants from generations of families.

Although it is less well-known than Jeonju Hanok Village or Bukchon Hanok Village, it is a Hanok village with great historical value, enough to be designated as a nationally designated cultural property. This village was founded during the reign of King Sejong of the Joseon Dynasty and is a traditional village where the Seongsan Lee family has lived for generations for about 560 years.
