It was all going SO well as we meandered through the coastal hot spots of Southern Spain, pulling up for a whistle stop visit to Gibraltar and finally arriving in Algeciras in excited anticipation of the crossing to Morocco!
Having spent hours of research, hundreds of pounds and numerous vet visits in the UK over previous months to ensure our dog transit paperwork was perfect, we were gutted to hear whispers of changes in the legislation as we travelled through Europe. Apparently, any papers proving Rabies vaccination status and antibody test results are now completely useless and not recognised as valid if from the UK?
A quick visit to a Spanish vet gave us re-newed confidence that our paperwork was good though as our titre test had been outsourced from the UK & actually performed by an EU vet in Germany…Phew! We even grabbed a Spanish Pet Passport with another new Rabies Vaccination just for good measure and future travel.
However, it turns out the whispers were true……Find out what happens next as we desperately try and get to Morocco for Christmas.

Regarding the Fanta thing, UK Fanta contains less sugar than some eu versions. Some of the eu versions also contain more orange juice.

Damm! Fingers crossed you and Blu will get out soon! How long you going to be in Morocco once you get over? Would love to see a video or a blog describing all the hoops and the expenses if its not to personal you've been through if if possible its the bit that I'm most worried about while planning as my Plan B is just head to Portugal if its gonna be nightmare! Sorry to hear it didn't work out for you. We are on the same journey. Just changed our plans to stay in Spain this year to get all the dog paperwork sorted. We'll do Morocco next. Hey ho. For us its working out being in Spain, we are enjoying Andalusia.
