Bingen am Rheim (Rhine River) in Germany. Welcome! We were sailing on the MS Annika. But the Rhine river water level was too high. So our itinerary changed. One of the new stops was Bingen, part of the Middle Rhine Valley – Unesco world heritage site!
The Middle Rhine Valley is one of the most fascinating landscapes in Germany. Historic towns and villages. Castles and palaces. Many more than 1000 years old. Fantastic nature experiences. And a mighty river that connects it all. Not for nothing was the Upper Middle Rhine Valley – between Bingen and Koblenz – designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2002.
