  1. I think a big reason Americans aren't able to travel is because of our health care system. People in other countries wouldn't tolerate only one or two weeks of vacation time from their job per year, but when your medical insurance is tied to your job and you work in a state where your employer can fire you at any time for any reason, things get very tricky 😥.

  2. Hey, Scott. Was catching up on my Nica news and I thought of something that might be good for you to address. 1. Can you give an update how the Cuban and Haitian migrants have affected things in Nica (where are they staying, crime, the govt's response, if any, etc). Are some staying, seeing their chances at life in he US being made more difficult? Do any of these people stay in Nica? Second, and personally of interest to me, how has the migrant situation and their movement north affected the bus system and travel to northern towns and cities? Are their certain lines that are negatively affected? Are the migrants using 'private' carriers? Have the bus lines added buses? I saw one short video of Mayoreo and the videographer said, basically, everyone there was a Cuban. I would love to here from someone like you instead of trusting sensation-videographers. Thanks. Keep up the good work.

  3. One thing I've noticed is it's much easier to find cheaper flights from the US to other countries than it is to fly from Canada. Which makes it even harder for us Canadians to get out and travel. There's just so many reasons to leave Canada right now.

  4. Nicely made video Scotty.. Definitely getting extremely expensive surviving in the States. Not to mention as a 20+ years IICU RN experience, health care in the US leaves much to desired. Paul Daemen (Rip), Bob Wells and you are my inspiration in finding my financial freedom some day

  5. I lived in Nicaragua for a while, and then I went to visit other Latin American countries. Politics got dicey in Nica, then the Beer Virus came along and I haven't been back. I hope things are going well. León is just too warm for me. I loved the cool breezes of El Crucero, but most people were nervous about the volcano belching poisonous gasses through the town like it apparently did for 5 years or so. Everybody I know who has retired says "do it as soon as you possibly can!"
