Today i’m taking a sleeper train to the Arctic Circle! Starting in London i’ll travel through the channel tunnel by Eurostar to Belgium where i’ll connect onto the ICE high speed train to Hamburg. From Hamburg we’ll catch the Swedish sleeper train to Stockholm and from there, finally we’ll take the 18 hour Norway express to the Arctic Circle. This will take us to one of the world’s most northernly train stations, well into the Arctic Circle and as far North as I’ve ever been. I’ll share with you my full experience, from the food, showering onboard, the beds and the overall cost.

  1. Great video as always ! Such a shame Trains are so expensive to travel on as I do love going on trains to places. pretty sure these prices can be found for a lot lower cost if booked well in advanced.

  2. HA! I thought that looked like your dad! I always enjoy the adventures you share with your mom or dad. Your videos are always so fun and informative ~ thank you for letting many of us travel vicariously through you. Here's wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a safe 2024. 🙂🙂

  3. It's no coincidence you posted this video some days after another Youtuber did a similar video. I've called this before and not a single youtube traveller wants to admit that you're all on the same travel merry-go-round.

  4. Taking into account that you have showed very little on the most expensive journeys. Certainly , if you have saved them your video would have reached similar views and you will be 2k reacher. Instead of this, you may have added into this video an adventure with your dad in Lapland. Sorry but I have to be honest. I loved the video anyways

  5. Okay… Absolutely love your relaxing, and truly motivating videos to get out and explore. But PLEASE tell me where we can those TIM'S from. Your Timberlands are FRESH. Please drop a link. Much love from Oklahoma City 🎉

  6. This wouldn’t be the kind of travel I enjoy, but I did enjoy watching you and your father going through all the changes of trains. The views outside at the end looked amazing. I would love to see more of that.

  7. Don't really know why you keep quoting prices by the Dollar? You are English so why not quote in UK Pounds or the local currency of the country where the ticket would be used.

  8. I think it’s great that you can share these experiences with your dad and mum and girlfriend. It’s a true gift. Love the channel and the videos.

  9. I’m a bit shocked at the pricing… wouldn’t it have been possible to do this much cheaper with an Interrail pass and respective seat reservations? A 5-day pass in 1st class is 374€ p.p. and lets take a very conservative 30€ seat reservation fee per segment (which to be honest, of all the trains you took, the Eurostar is probably the only one that comes close to that)… so another 150€ p.p. That would come to 524€ p.p. (1048€ for two people) for essentially the same seats and benefits shown here… am I missing something here?

Nice itinerary nonetheless, would love heading up to Narvik/Rovaniemi at some point, albeit when it’s not as cold 😂

  10. I have to appologize for that train juerney with the SJ sleeper train. You were definatley ripped off

The second sleeper is much better in my oppinion, i took it to Narvik from stockholm and slept in the one for 100 pounds and it was really nice. But why tf does it say norway sleeper train 😤

  11. How did you get back from Narvik?
There is the bus to Bodo, and then train to Oslo, ferry to Copenhagen and then train via Hamburg to London.
    Or
Bus to Tromso and then a trip to see orcas at Skjervoy and the Northern lights.
After Tromso, a bus to Rovaniemi to see Santa and then the train to Helsinki
