Just home from Prague.
Christmas market was disappointing, it was small lacked in variety and quite expensive for basic, what I call peasant food
( more a rip off ) the Square itself with its surrounding architect is breath taking. For four days we walked around this beautiful City by day and night and the most notable thing missing was live music with the exception of Charles bridge and then there was only one act on this whole bridge. The Roma Hotel was an excellent location and hotel, it was within easy walking distance to all main sights and also a very inexpensive tram service with the stop outside the door of the hotel.
Prague is pricey but really worth the visit but don't plan to go just for the Christmas markets or you maybe disappointed as we were, the carol singing mentioned above we never heard any apparently its only happens at the weekend which was sad for us as we returned back home on Friday. We like eating out but found it difficult to find finer dining restaurants getting used to the currency took a bit of getting used too but all in all we still had a very good time.
