Go lots of people told us to come in this little out of thee way place to see this most most majestic nativi I think I’ve ever seen inside of a cave right constan constan Constanta is going to explain everything story of this church uh start started in

1741 uh there was a priest do Mariano Valerio when he uh return to a that is a city uh near the the church the the year was 1742 it was summertime and there was a massive storm and though Mariana was walking around here and he was looking

For safety and knew about this cave and that’s how it all started he ran into this cave to seek protection from the rain and then this idea of making a church creating a church and then the nativity scene came to him and look at this that’s the street goes to Santa Mar

Lascala there’s the church and that road goes to AER Al suddenly he he has an idea he wanted to create here recreate here a cave like the the cave of Bethlehem a normal nativity scene uh so he started to to BU it and uh the church was uh uh open to

The city the PO in 17 52 you imagine this people how many generations have seen this beautiful nativity scene that’s here every year you really have to know where to find it and now the materials are very interesting because not only is it wax but also

Hair okay so the hands are in Wood the eyes are glass and then this is wax and that’s real [Applause] [Applause] hair this Cave of course was caused by an ethn eruption in this they decided to make this clothes oh from Rome yeah it was a seam

What is it called the guy who does the sewing seamstress from Rome 34 different pieces of art this is the handmade cave yeah exactly so this was created the actual church and and is the natural volcano right here we have another example of a treasure in the middle of

The street in in a cave works of art you know there are nativity scenes all over Sicily all of them are so special many of them are handmade but this one really took my breath away I went inside and it actually said oh wow it was just a

Location the intricacy the detail and of course the almost 300y old history you should go to it except they have two two caution things to say to you it comes up quick it’s right off of the 114 and it’s on your left hand side about 75 yards

Down and number two parking is very limited and treacherous so you need to be careful okay there are nativity scenes all over arterial they’re all very special and all over Sicily but this one was a new one for us so really incredible for us all right before we go
