Kozlen 2022 Italy Trip – Day 8 – Leaving Rome, Pompeii, and Sorrento

On the 8th day of our 20th anniversary trip to Italy, we left the Grand Hotel Palatino in Rome and headed for Pompeii in our Gate1 tour bus. We stopped at an automat and got some Pocket Coffee and took in the Italian countryside along the way, with striking views of Mount Vesuvius. Our Gate One tour group had a guided tour of the ruins and museum at Pompeii and had lunch there. We then took the winding and scenic road to the Amalfi Coast to the Hotel Central Sorrento. We headed out to dinner with our Gate 1 tour group at Il Leone Rosso in Sorrento and did a bit of shopping.
