A short walk from the pet in the Leal area when you come to Paris chances are you want to see a palace like Versailles but there’s no shortage of palaces around Paris even the Lou was a palace long before it became an art museum and there are plenty of other Royal

Residences just in the vicinity of Paris so in this video you’re going to discover five castles right around the area of Paris we’ll see the pier Falls with the m medal structures you’ll see phontum blue which is the elegance and opulence of many kings of France the chatau Shan which has the biggest

Collection of art outside of the Lou in the area we’ll see the chatau Vol viant which was the inspiration for Versailles and of course we’ll visit Versailles and see what each one of those castles has to offer so you can decide which one’s right for you and whether or not it’s

Worth it to see one or the other are you ready to go I on let’s go let’s go today we’re here at the chat de Shan which is one of the most beautiful castles just outside of Paris and it’s closed today but we’re getting a special private VIP

Tour to see rooms that nobody gets to see and I can’t wait so are you ready I am all right oniva let’s go let’s go today we’re touring the castle with berron from my private Paris and with his knowledge and passion this place comes to life in a whole new way and his

Company special izes and custom private tour so if you’re interested in something like that there’s a link in the description Below the last owner of the CH Chan hon this were his dishes and you can see the H and the O initials in his Plate so in this Castle we have the largest collection of classical paintings next to the lou it’s stunning so let’s go see some More and this ladies and gentlemen is Maret this is enry Doon this is the gentleman that has his initials on the dishes he’s right there he was the last owner of this Castle So this guy is L the bbon or the grand which was the man that was supposed to be the next king until Louis the 14th was Born we’re going to When Henry of oron lived here in the castle in the 1800s this is the part of the castle where they lived so these are private bedrooms and the private office of uh himself The Duchess um and where the family Lived so this is a private room we got special access to but you can see and here just like in Beauty and the Beast this demonstrates HRI de oron’s love of literature and arts because these are all books from his collection in addition to the ones we saw in the

Library that’s open to the public so this is an amazing amazing Spot To get to shantii from gardo is actually very easy in gardo you want to go in the G line which is where all the long-distance trains are which is the main central place in gardo buy yourself a round trip ticket at a machine and the costes €1 for round trip that train ride

Is going to take you 25 minutes to get to Shanti just look for trains headed in the directions of Amia or cray and there is usually one every 30 minutes or so in any case right at the head of the train it will tell you that it goes to shantii

So if it says so that’s the right one now once you’re in shantii it’s a 10 to 15 minute walk to the castle through the woods and it’s very Charming now if you don’t want to take the train and do the 10 to 15 minute walk in Shan you can

Hire a private driver in Paris that will take you from your hotel directly to the castle and we’ll put some links in the description with some options today we’re going to the Chateau fountain blue which is one of the largest Royal homes in France and a unesc protected site and I’m excited to

Come here today and I especially want to see Maran tet’s budo and there’s a lot of super cool stuff in here so come on let’s go this Is And this room is the inspiration for the Hall of Mirrors at Versailles and you can see why it’s Stunning Most of the time when people come to Paris they want to go see versailes so they can experience a castle but this one is not nearly as busy every bit is opulent and it is absolutely Gorgeous so today I’m taking you to pieron pieron is a beautiful medieval castle it’s about an hour away from Paris so this is why we’re taking the car so if you’re in Paris visiting you may need to hire a driver or rent a car to go to that Castle let’s go inside come On those are gutters formed after notredam and notice on top of the other little columns you have little Castles so during the second world war this became a field hospital because of course they had a lot of wounded soldiers and this was kind of close to where the battles were taking place and we can tell that the Americans were here because they left little marks like you can see here there’s UA so this is obviously the chapel and where the altar is they have the statue of San Michelle who is is slaying the dragon which is one of the symbols Here so there’s a little door over here with a railing like a little balcony an interior balcony and I can imagine who’s watching over uh what’s going on this is a reception room I don’t know if you had dances here they played cards here I don’t know what they did here really

Nobody knows because the records aren’t that clear and there’s no furniture it’s just amazing let’s go see what else they’ve got come on this is the emperor’s study it also has from 1863 a running toilet with water flush and everything in a private chamber it’s a pretty remarkable study this is one

Heck of a man Cave Yeah So today we’re going to vont Castle which is about an hour away from Paris and there are a couple of ways for you to get there the economy way is catching a train in gon that’ll take you to Mulan and in Mulan you have to take a bus and

It take you to the castle and then back and forth obviously it’s economy but you know it’s going to take you at least an hour and a half between 2 hours to get here the second way which is probably the way that many of you are going to do

Which is to hire a driver or a tour out of Paris to pick you up in your hotel drive you all the way there and then bring you back home it’s about an hour a good solid hour to get here but it’s super worth it so today we’re taking our

Car and we’re going to bobom so want you let’s Go you know when you’re touring this Castle they have free headsets that give you the story of the relationship between fette and Louis the 14th and how he brought Fontaine from all the fables and mulier and like all of these famous people here to work in the Arts and the

Paintings the tapestries the I mean just the absolute attention to detail in every single aspect of this place it’s no wonder that King Louis 14th felt upstaged and and thought that folet was trying to outshine him you know and when folet saw that it was an error he

Offered to give the king the castle but of course the king says you know like you know what will people think of me if my subjects are gifting me something like this so it didn’t end well for folad but you know obviously he was a Visionary and this place was the inspiration for

Versa In the basement they have a reenactment kind of a scenario of what it was like in the kitchens and building the Gastronomy that you know kind of started right here in this Castle when folet was getting ready to receive the King as a guest you know he had to he had to make

Art of the presentation of the food and everything so it’s really cool to go through and in the caves and see you know how they prepared that how they laid it out and what the table looked like when folet welcomed Louis the 14th here as a guest it’s really

Cool and earli here we were all the way at the top there where we got the Magnificent views this is the Dome and an extra three to uh get to see it but then you get beautiful views of the garden and it’s just really worth

It one of the things that I love about Vol vont is how quiet it is how few tourists you have here I know for a fact that Lou and Versa are sold out and there’s hardly anybody here we visited the castle pretty much on our own few

People here and there uh it’s not easy to get to but if you want a castled experience without having uh enormous amounts of people around you Vol vont is Delightful to get to chat veril it’s fairly easy you obviously have the first option which is to hire a private driver or a guy to take you from your hotel directly to the shto verai and bring you back or you could take the re line C

From sell and I will take you all the way to Versailles and it’s a quick 10-minute walk to go to the castle which is right behind me so let’s go we’re here today at the Chateau de Versailles the Palace of the King of France most notably Louis coutur or

Louis the 14th and this place is stunning now the thing you got to know about visiting Versailles is it is busy it is packed and everyone puts it on their list for good reason because it’s beautiful it’s opulent it’s the Palace of palaces and it’s kind of a must and

When you visit Versailles you’re going to go through the king’s bedroom the Queen’s bedroom where they receive their Royal guest all of the place places where they hung out and if you’ve watched the Netflix series you can imagine all of the shenanigans that went on there and it also takes you through

Some of the history of the creation because this place was originally a hunting lodge this is where Louis the 14th’s father would bring him as a child and you know run around and play so originally just a small place that Louis the 14th built as the as the Palace of

The Sun King so there’s a lot of history a lot of culture when you walk through here you you can’t just look around you at what’s in the room you have to look up at the ceilings down at the floors just every single detail is magnificent

And you can walk through the Hall of Mirrors and see where the king of France greeted the Royals from around the world and then there’s the gardens I mean sculptured you know the Landscaping is just beyond with little hidden paths through the woods and statues everywhere this is a luxurious Royal opulent

Place now the collective wisdom when it comes to buying ticket for Versi is to get the earliest one in the day like the 99: or 10:00 a.m. but the problem with this is that that’s what everybody is doing too so if you come here at 9 or 10

You got a long line of people that are all thinking the same thing so two things first of all you want to buy your ticket online before you come here because otherwise you’re going to have to wait 30 to 40 minutes just to buy your ticket maybe an hour and then wait

Another 30 to 40 minutes just to get inside the castle so you want to buy it online in advance but the 1:00 ticket is the secret to get into Versailles cuz you’ll have a lot less people waiting in line with You we’re going to visit l today and the last time I was here it had to be like 40 years ago at a school field trip as you know as a kid so we’re going to we’re coming back to visit Lou but what we got in our research is that there are

35,000 pieces of Art and if you spend 30 second per each piece of art it would take you 38 days straight for 8 hours a day to see it all how many pieces are we going to see today I said 22 we’ll see what we can capture all right so we’re

Going to we’re going to go and see 22 pieces of art you know like the pieces of art that you would probably want to see in Lou and we’re going to see how long it takes us so awesome Go so we’re here inside the Pyramid of the Lou which is the main entrance there’s three buildings that we need to know about here there’s the risho which has a lot of old French art sculptures a lot of things like that and everything we’re

Going to see today is going to be in the Sul and den Pavilion cuz those are the Hot Shots to see so let’s Go this is the place in the bottom of the pyramid where you can actually get a map you can get an audio guide right here they have it in French English Spanish Italian Dutch and Korean and Japanese Wow So I got to say something we’ve done the research we looked at the map we made a plan we made a plan and two things is true we lost and we’re completely overwhelmed so um I’m just going to say like if you come to Lou uh do your

Homework uh study know exactly where you’re going because I mean we we thought we were prepared and we’re completely lost well that would be enough yeah let’s go see this one this one then the wing it is that the winged uh thing here what you looking For oh Jesus there she is it was right there the whole time we’re right in front of the painting that inspired well actually the legend says that it inspired Victor Yugo from writing Miser which is the Liberty guiding the people it’s a beautiful painting and

That was one of the one of the pieces of art that we wanted to See we are in the den building in the Denon Wing yeah and this is where most of the items on our mustsee list are the masterpieces yeah here in this hall there’s some doozies and just over around the corner is Mona Lisa this is one of the hall that I remember coming

As a kid this was a part of the field trip you were had to go see those painting you have Napoleon it’s a good Hall yeah it’s a good haul I would add it to your list Yeah so there’s a there’s an anecdote about this painting this is the coronation of Napoleon this is Josephine that’s right in front of uh of him and Napoleon’s mother did not approve of Josephine so she didn’t come but hey that would didn’t stop Napoleon from telling the painter to paint his mom in

The painting which actually wasn’t there and that that’s not the Napoleon’s mom that actually is the painter’s mom he painted his own mom in the middle of the thing but that’s the anecdote for Dad painting I think it’s pretty Funny we’re here with Venus de Milo and she’s one of the ones that was on our list of things to see she’s gorgeous she’s absolutely gorgeous she did not disappoint no yeah it took us a while to find her but we actually did so here we are Vena the Min Che so before Lou was Lou um it was a fortress and what we’re seeing behind or the original wall of the Fortress and it’s really an amazing thing to come and check out there’s actually a map that shows you um how they used to look like before they built basically theou on top

Of It something that’s important to remember when you’re at the Lou is that it started out as a palace and you can see the royalty especially in the ceilings but in the detail of the architecture and of course they have the Royal Jewels here Too it’s going high and that is what everybody’s here to See and it’s like that every day yes and see you have three people on either side and they are uh there to make sure that people are not spending too much time in keeping their mask on so down this Hall we saw winged Liberty Mona Lisa right behind you and

If we go this way we’re probably going to find psyche revealed by Cupid’s kiss which might become your favorite let’s go this way by the way people get yelled at when they take off their mask so inside Lou don’t take off your mask they have uh zero tolerance for it come across the Coronation So look at the delicacy of the of the carving like the the tissuess of the fabric below her and Crossing her belly and then you can see just the hardness of the stone the softness of their their faces like the skin looks soft and then you have the the detail and the delicacy

In the feathers of cupid and then again in the feathers on the back of the arrows in Cupid’s pouch it’s just it’s so tender it’s my new favorite for sure I love this one definitely on your to-do list when you come to the Loose Now Colleen has been asking me to go on a dinner cruise ever since we moved to Paris but as a Parisian the last thing on my list is a tourist is dinner cruise but a happy wife is a happy life so I did some research to find the best

Dinner cruise available the one I picked was highly recommended with amazing food and a very Charming atmosphere so let’s see if it lives up to the hype on the dinner cruise I picked is called Theif and it’s docked across the Lou Museum under the iconic pesar so we

Started our even with a nice romantic stroll along the sa and once we arrive at the boat the metr escorted us to our table it’s a fairly small boat and it feels just right this is the setting I was looking for we’re celebrating the second anniversary of our channel so I

Wanted something really special I hope the food is as good as they say it is now this boat has three levels you have the upper level with just seating there’s another level just below that that has seating and that’s where the bar is located and then there’s the mid

Level in the front of the boat and that’s where we’re seated this boat has an old world charm and it’s very quaint this is very promising but first things first let’s start with a cup of Champagne that’s how you start a romantic evening we ordered the menu Royale which in includes a glass of champagne and a bottle of wine with a great selection of starters and main courses CH off we go we are cruising on the sand with a lovely glass of wine after my champagne and appetizer and I’m waiting for an amazing dinner I can’t wait we’ll start the first leg of our Cruise leaving from Lou Will Cruise pass PL s Melle notam and the Latin quarter

Where we’ve heard that people dance and party on the Riverbanks that is a private boat that somebody just lives on and the next one too people live on those boats yeah those are private homes people live on these boats like this little Tugboat this little Tugboat is a

Home and that’s really cool cuz what you have coming up right here that’s the uh fire department can you imagine being a fireman and living on that boat and they were earlier today when we came in they were all sitting up on the deck they

Were all sitting on the deck you can see them cooking in the kitchen there oh yeah they’re cooking in the kitchen but they were having apparels and stuff and just sitting on the the GU sitting there just a fireman yeah it’s pretty darn Cool and we’re about to cross through the p noof it’s pretty cool that we have a glass ceiling and you can get to see all the big buildings and stuff yeah I see all these buildings and everything and you see some Terraces here and people’s home and everything you’re

Like that’s a nice pad right there right there like at that house check out that puppy with the atrium this isn’t the L Ren district and uh right there is sh right there I love seeing Paris from the water it’s beautiful behind you there is always a party on this

Plaza I want to come here I didn’t you have these little alos right there where people are dancing and playing music right here they’re all dancing this is fagra with a mushroom sauce in a pastry shell you can see a little crispy hat there there’s some pag the mushrooms

Check out the mushrooms oh I’m happy cuz I love mushrooms all crispy crackling with all of that gooey yummy in it oh my goodness we did not sacrifice quality to have dinner on a boat oh check that out oh yeah oh yeah it’s falling apart but oh my God it’s

Wonderful you need to try this and I I got the grilled gambas look at this oh man we’ve got a little sauce here I don’t know what this is but I’ll put a little bit of That yeah is hitting the spot you’re going to love this too you’re going to have to try this there’s a little bit of pepper I think here I’m putting a little bit more of this you know one of the thing about the cruises is I’ve always heard that the dinner cruises that the

Food was so so but so far this is amazing wow this is really Good you can taste the quality of the prawns and the avocado sauce it’s very light it’s like really whipped creamy light avocado sauce it’s very nice delicious that’s funny it looks like I would enjoy this tremendously I think you Will this is excellent really really delicious well the cream salce of F that melts in your mouth the little pastry puff shell that goes with it just really Delightful really excellent now we’re starting the second leg of our cruise starting at Canal s Maran then the or Museum the Concord Plaza and hopefully we’ll see the Apple Tower twinkling and turn around at the iconic Statue of Liberty so many places to get dinner on

The S or just grab a drink cuz that looks like a hooping bar looks like oh this is funny the next one is the Louisiana Bill so this is where Canal San Maran meets the SC and I want to go on a cruise to Canal s Maran also it has locks so you have to undo all the locks as you go through so you can see there’s a little gate right there that’s pretty

Cool I never knew where it came from and now I Do It’s really Pretty I got the lamb shank with roasted potatoes and a little bit of Anu sauce obviously with rosemary oh look I don’t even I don’t even need the knife it just falls off it is falling apart oh my goodness super crispy and very soft and Squishy and

Tender I mean it just falls apart I don’t know what the sauce is but we’re going to find out I like glamb and it is just tender and flavorful as you would ever want a lamb to be that is a quality meal that’s delicious yeah and I got the fion with

Chag on top of it we’re on a boat I asked for my meat rare and it’s coming rare that is absolutely amazing I’m going to dip in my sauce I’m not quite sure what this sauce is the meat is tender put a little bit of fua right here that is served on top

Of your steak no kidding this is an amazing meal I was not expecting that on the boat I really wasn’t serving a steak like that on a kitchen on the boat is extraordinary this is a steak cooked to Perfection rare served on the boat with potatoes on our sauce and the FL

Everything is yeah it’s worth every penny I’m happy let me try the potatoes see if they’ve actually done the potatoes as good as they’ did the meat po that’s what it feels like with the steak is this is perfect like the appetizer and the main course okay it

Settled this is an amazing meal and we’re on the boat I’m River this is extraordinary with a sunset wow Wow and that’s plaz conord Paris is beautiful from a boat I I highly recommend whether it’s a dinner boat or just a tour take a cruise and see Paris from the water stunning there you go even now that we live here it doesn’t get old to see The Iron Lady all lighted

Up she’s Splendid I think we’re just in time to see her Sparkle I have the ton which is an apple tart this one is put together with some kind of I don’t know ice cream here and Calvados that is like an apple Brandy it’s called Calvados from the Normandy region I don’t know if that’s what I’m supposed to do but it’s too skinny to

Dip take a little bit of ice cream and oh my goodness that’s well done perfect and I got the chocolate muu Chaka so it’s a little brownie with some gooey chocolate stuff m and it’s so hot oh wow think of a hot brownie with some gooey hot chocolate in

It with the ice cream is a vanilla and crong which is a vanilla cream well this is best way to end this dinner honestly this meal was a five star I don’t have anything bad to say the wine the champagne the AAR teeth the appetizer the dessert everything is Extraordinary Now all good things must come to an end so was all the hype about this Cruise accurate absolutely this has been amazing and very much worth it welcome Back there are multip ways to discover the City of Paris of course you have the double decker Hop On Hop off bus but Paris has the B bus Hop On Hop off it starts at 10:00 a.m. goes until 7:00 p.m. 9 hours it has nine stops and today

Colleen and I are going to try to do the entire city of Paris during those 9 hours and hop off at every stop see a little bit of the land and get back on and we’re going to start right here at hotel Dev Ville and we’re going to end

Up in the Latin quarter where there are people dancing on the side of the sand that we saw last time we were in a dinner cruise and Colleen has been asking me to take her there ever since so we’re going to stop there and hopefully there are people dancing and

We’re going to get to see and enjoy that On tickets for the battle bus are €20 each the easiest way to buy them is online and you can buy them at Advance or buy them right on the spot the instructions are in English and easy to follow and we put a link to their website in the video description Below I have our tickets on my phone yes let see and I know that I want to come back and sit on that little end of the island yeah that looks a great place for a picnic Like so we just got to the stop at the Lou but the boat captain told us that they’re only operating four of the eight boats today because it’s August in Paris and there’s less traffic the boats are operating every 25 minutes instead of every 10 minutes so we’re going to have

To move pretty quick we’re here at the lbe we’re going to go right by the pyramid we’re going to go see the pet Royale grab a bite to eat and hopefully we have enough time let’s Go Pro tip if you’re visiting the Lou and you just want to get shots outside by the pyramid go on a Tuesday morning when it’s closed cuz you won’t have all the Crowds We’re here right by the Lou at Bow and me because there’s not a lot of places that aren’t touristic around the next few stops and we want to make sure we have a good solid lunch so we got some stuff to go and let’s see if we have

Time to eat it in the tuler garden and right here along R Riv just across from the Lou you have lots of little shops touristic things little souvenir stuff and some nicer Stores that thing is fun to go to the top of and you want to talk about a view of Paris holy moly it’s gorgeous now we thought about having lunch at the pet Royale and we thought about having lunch at the tuler Garden but for the

Sake of time I think we’re just going to go down in the Shady spot where we wait for the boat and have our lunch there along the riversand the tuler gardens is a great spot like tons of little vignettes and places to sit even cafees

And places to buy food if you want a restaurant it’s a gorgeous spot I love this one she’s so relaxed Yeah I got got a ham and cheese with lettuce right on a baguette okay so that’s what we’re eating now let’s split that one we got two sandwiches yeah we can split one now and split one later one of the things that we notice

With the Bas stops is that a lot of them don’t have a lot of food around them like zilet there’s not a lot of things there so since we know that next to theou is a bunch of amazing thing including B and me this is where we got a

Sandwich and of course you’re going to scan your tickets every time you get on we thought it would be a great idea to take this boat on a beautiful sunny day cuz Hey in Florida you take the boat on beautiful sunny days but let me tell you it’s noon and it is Hot I love this bridge I love it it’s 12:15 we just landed at the Alexander III Bridge right by the petite palet Grand pet and we want to go see the Tulip sculpture and of course the gorgeous view of the eiel Tower from the bridge

So let’s see if we can fit it all in come On You All right so it’s 1:00 and we just got here to the eel Tower and we’re actually doing good on time um but we’re going to spend about an hour uh checking out the too and the AL Tower oh and right by the B bus there’s a giant sign here for the

Uh Olympics and it is in 372 Days 7 hours and 7 Seconds the Olympic are going to be right here it’s kind of fun to have the clock There and if you pick up something for a picnic lunch and you hold on to it for a bit there’s a great little park right across the bridge from the Eiffel Tower with lots of shade you can relax and enjoy something There people want to go see the Eiffel Tower so they go to the Eiffel Tower but honestly the best views the most open space and just loveliness is right across the bridge at the tracadero if you’re coming to see the Eiffel Tower you got to come over here to see It this is all honey stuff that is an Eiffel Tower candle made out of beeswax and the whole package and it smells delicious that’s very cool they’re already lining Up So it’s 2:30 and we just got off the boat at the invalid stop and the invalid stop is where the invalids is which is the military museum it’s where Napoleon’s tomb is and we’re back again right across from the peti pet Grand pet on the bridge Alexander 12 since we’re

Tied on time we’re not going to go into any museums we’re going to go upstairs at the bridge we’re going to take some pictures see what there is to see and we’re going to come back and get on the next Boat I’m hot to hot and I’m tired and my feet hurt but I’m not willing to stop let’s go So it’s 3:10 and we just stopped at the Museum to ORS exit and of course what’s here is the museum deor this is a gateway to Sanger which has lots of little shops and Galleries and really cool spots but we’re not going to spend a lot of time here because I’m exhausted

I’m overheated my feet hurt and I’m really looking forward to our next exit where we’re going to go to one of my favorite squares and sit in a cafe and relax come On so we did six out of nine we’re completely exhausted oh my God all right so it’s 3:30 and we just made it to San so here you have a ton of restaurants and shops and a lot of things to do but we’re going to one of Colleen’s favorite little secret Square here there’s a little cafe that she

Adores we’re going to go and sit and relax for about an hour to kind of recoup because we are like pooped and hot and it’s been a long day so we’re going to go and take a break on This isn’t a single- use plastic Anymore so we’re sitting in a little cafe inside of plaz doine which is a delightful quiet Shady spot and and I’m wearing my glasses because I look as tired as I feel but this place is perfect to stop if you want to have a lunch or something like that but we just

Stopped by to have a refreshing drink relax in the shade after I have some water I may or may not have a Mojito or something but we’re just going to sit right here in this park and you know they play Paton here it’s lots of locals

But this is really a a an old classic Square it’s just that kind of a place and I love It so it’s time to go catch the next boat let’s Go So it’s 5:30 p.m. uh this is the eighth out of nine spot not we’re going to go in front of the cathedral and we’re going to go and check it out It’s not entirely mobile friendly here and this is laqua where they have the notra dam apple desserts that I love great spot and of course all the buness over here with not tram in the background actually you know what it’s a great uh thing the bugin for souvenirs

Cuz one of the things that um people don’t realize is the buin are all independent small business owners so uh this is not going into some from you know Mega souvenir shop and they’re selling all unique type of paintings and drawings and even great refrigerator magnets yeah this is the statue of

Charlamagne so one of the things we got at Bow and me earlier was a dessert and we were not ready to eat it cuz it was so hot and we have a uh partly melted uh brownies with a hazelnut and we got this bad boy here this is Callin favorite oh

Yeah it’s like crispy and breaking apart oh yeah I don’t know if you can hear the crispy Crunchies and their sugar is really caramelized AEL nut brownie oh Man ret it’s very touristic it is a fun place little shops restaurants and things but it’s a great Street to walk down and they have an amarino here where my kids have loved to come and get the rose-shaped ice creams definitely a street to know about it’s just fun

Connects by Shakespeare and notredam all the way to PL s Michelle perfect spot right up here is the Shakespeare and Company the authors read their books there there’s actually a place where you can spend the night in there it’s just a funky spot that people love and another one of my little

Favorites is the iconic Instagram a hotel Odette so we’re leaving the notredam spot headed for Our Last Stop at jardan De plant where anon’s supposed to take me dancing you can see that my makeup melted off I’m dead tired I look as old as I feel and we’re going to go and dance Anyway With one so this is the ninth and final stop of the batau bus we’re right here by jandu plant but this is also the prominade that has the D daning and the pl art sculptures or the open air sculptures along the walkway with one of the ones that I’ve definitely wanted to

See this is a sculpture of Remo and I didn’t see people dancing when we were coming up in the boat that maybe they’ll start just after and if we relax and take a nice leisurely stroll they might start dancing while we’re still here and if not we’ll just grab a bite to eat Al we’ve discovered a lot of new little spots on this tour today we did places to come back to I hear Music so we just completed all nine stops on the BAU bus we did get to see an awful lot so if what you have is one day to see as much of Paris as possible this is a good option a little bit different than a regular cruise on the

Send because the cruises like videt have guided tours and tell you what you’re seeing all along this is really just kind of a Water Taxi that takes you along but if you know what you’re looking for this is a really great option it’ll get you from point A to B

To C to D and all the way up through nine stops it’s a significantly less expensive 20 bucks yeah 20 bucks for the ride it’s uh significantly less expensive than the Hop On Hop Off buses about the same price as the tour but you

Get to stop and get off and on where you want and um and I just thought it was great yeah you got to bring some sunscreen we didn’t bring any we regretted it it was was a sunny day and uh we got surprised but other than that

It was amazing I’ll do it again it was amazing and you don’t have to get off at every stop the way we did we pushed it I’m not a marathon traveler I like a little bit more relaxed Comfort but you know depending on what you have going on

This is something to check out how about we go get a drink now and uh maybe dinner I would love a glass of wine and a shakery board all right let’s go if you’re thinking about a day trip from Paris then Claude Mona’s home and

Jer may be a good option for you and in today’s video we’ll give you all the details you need to choose we’ll tell you how to get there what to expect and we’ll show you the gardens in Lily Pond that inspired so many of his famous

Paintings and in the end we’ll take you to a place in Paris where you can see his masterpieces on display the way he wanted you to see them Al to get to Jer take the train from the S Lazar station the trains run throughout the day and you can buy those

Tickets on site in the Nomad section of the main station a roundtrip ticket will cost 3360 and the ride takes about an hour and a half to get there when you get to the Vernon jery station you’re still not at Monae’s home there’s a bit more to go the options are

An hourlong walk along the S renting a bicycle for the day or take the 15-minute ride in a trolley or shuttle bus for €0 round trip we took the shuttle bus the bus dropped us off in the jery town parking lot just across the street we walked through the town with easy to

Follow signs and there are some places to eat if you want to grab a bite before or after your visit there’s a separate entrance for people with timestamp tickets but you can buy your tickets on site we wanted flexibility so we bought our tickets here we entered through a large

Beautiful gift shop there’s something here for everyone and many it items are very reasonably priced for my French Coffee but Pro tip buy your souvenirs later because you’re going to exit through the same Shop when Monae moved to jery back in 1883 he transformed the abandoned domain into a comfortable home filled with lots of his Works but the crown jewel is the floral Paradise he created in the gardens the paths winding through the colors and textures of the garden are just like Monae designed them Garden staff from the Monae Foundation have studied his paintings and works meticulously to maintain the grounds with the varieties of plants and the

Color schemes just like the artist Palette Next we headed over to the water Pond where it feels like you’re walking inside one of his paintings the lily pads Bridges hidden boats and weeping willows bring a sense of Tranquility or at least it should each year over 500,000 people visit while the gardens are open between April 1st and November 1st on this mid July afternoon it feels like half of them are here today Pro tip arrive early before the river cruise tour groups come but even

With the crowd we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we’re definitely calling this a romantic adventure and tomorrow Antoine is taking me to see the big murals he did of this place at the orangerie Museum in Paris it’s been a long day and we’re happy to relax on the 90-minute ride back to Paris today we’re headed over to the tuler Garden to visit the orangerie museum and complete our Monae Trip oh wow so this room was actually designed by Claude Monae and together with the art architect as a specific place to display his Waterlily paintings and this is you know like in the in the last years of his life he came here and made that happen because the lighting

The structure everything about it would just would just accentuate the beauty of the water lily painting so oh you can see his eyes you see his eyes in here it’s like two eyes and a nose and a mouth like hidden in there do you see it and

More there are eight murals of water lies in this Museum in addition to many other post impressionist paintings and like you can just feel the lightness like this didn’t happen by accident like here with the the hanging pieces like from the little Bridge right next to it it’s

Beautiful this place was actually built to store Citrus plants during the winter time like a big glass in place and then in the 1920s Napoleon said this should be given to Art so Monae came in with the architect to build this as a a way to display the PO impressionist art for

The area and um and I’m really glad they did because it’s stunning one of the other things that Monae had in mind when he designed those rooms for the water lily paintings is that was a place for meditation which obviously you can’t do in these crowds

But I can completely get if I was alone in there I could be transported somewhere Else he looks like fun with an attitude so beside the Monae you have ay matis Paul saon you know many others on display here but if you can’t make it to Jer and you want to see the water lies this is a great great option and if you

Do go to Jer and you want to just round it out this is a great stop and of course Antoine loves the clowns because hey Antoine is a Clown the gift shop at the orangerie is nearly as big as the one at Jer but you can still get great gifts at really good Prices if you’re traveling to Paris with kids and teens you’re going to need to find some things besides museums and attractions to keep their interest up so in this video you’ll discover 21 things to do with your kids in Paris so that you all have a great trip so are you

The hill above Baris it’s just fun the jardon de Luxembourg is a huge park with lots of different areas than Central Park in New York it’s a great place for a picnic to play chess or other games young kids can rent boats to sail on the pond or find the Statue of

Liberty it is a great place to both relax and let off some steam Riding scooters in Paris is just Blain old fun there’s a feeling of freedom and Independence that teenagers need especially if they’ve been following someone else’s agenda for a while it also happens to be one of our favorite ways to see the City the catacombs is a favorite for young people our kids asked to go there when they were pre-teen and I thought it would be scary but it really wasn’t it’s interesting and sacred but also pretty cool and not only is it cool to see but the temperature is constantly cool and

That may matter during the summer months when many of the young people are Traveling chances are if you going into Paris you going to go to the Eiffel Tower and there’s a lot of ways to see it if your kids don’t want to stand in a long line to climb up pack a picnic to eat on the Sha de Mouse which is the

Lawn right behind the Eiffel Tower it’s a great place to either run around or relax and it’s not bad for Instagram shots Either taking a crew along the sand on a boat like leet is a great way to see the city because Paris looks different from a boat and young people will enjoy the feeling of freedom and getting to know Paris from a different [Applause] perspective s is a modern art museum but it also has a great rooftop and a fun Plaza right in front of it it’s one of the first places our teenage Sun suggested we include in this video it’s a lively and vibrant spot with lots of street food and shops all around there

Are street performers in the plaza and you’ll see kids running or chasing pigeons and eating ice cream it’s a good place for young People I me check out the view from the fifth floor here you can get the t s jaac if you go down this way you got the Eiffel Tower over here and then here you can see the big wheel the ferris wheel at the all the way in the back is La def

The business district of Paris and then you have a Santos Dash right there and then you have the Opera right here and all the way here you have S and M that is a magnificent view from the fifth floor of the s p there are pedestrian streets all over

Paris and our kids always love walking down those streets some are quite touristic others are near the University or in older parts of town each one has its own personality but all of them have great food stops and interesting shops and they’re just fun to find and [Applause] explore next to PL is Sak and the stairs and the lawn leaning up to it when I think of mimes and Paris this is where I might expect to find them and it’s also one of the best views of the city you have street performers Street vendors

Picnic spot the FI which is the little trim that goes up the hill is just a really memorable place and our kids love It Fly view Paris is a virtual tour of Paris with a VR headset you take a jetpack flight to see the major sites of Paris in a 360° experience and you can fly alone or in a group The covered passages of Paris are very Charming young people are likely to enjoy many of them one in particular is passage de pans which is currently under renovation and is also known for games toys and video games it’s a Young Person’s Dream if you take your kids to the lou they may need some fun after after all of that grownup stuff so right by the Lou is a giant Ferris wheel Ferris wheel at the Lou is pretty big and the views from the top are spectacular not only is

It a cool and quick thing to do but it’s a great way to put all of Paris into perspective when you see it from above another great way to keep kids and teens engage is riding bicycles whether you rant your own or hire a b tour of

Paris there’s another way to give them freedom and Independence while doing something as a family and if you’re traveling to Paris with kids then Disneyland Paris may be on your list of things to do there are two parks think of the Magic Kingdom and the Disney Studios it’s about a

45-minute train ride from Paris and it drops you off right at the entrance so that’s a good option De plant is a nature center the gallery of the evolution of animals a small Zoo a labyrinth a 17th century Botanical Garden crazy statues and Exhibits Park asteris may be an option for you if your kids like roller coaster sers it is a fabulous theme park French style like a Disney theme park but this one is all gowa Middle Ages and it’s tons of fun with amazing roller coasters it’s about an hour away from Paris and

They do have shuttles but you’ll need transportation to get There music is is a little bit out of the way but it’s also a great and fun place to see it’s filled with original Antique Festival rides and games including the original style Carousel that you have to Pedal a bike to make it move it’s no wonder it was included in

Emily and Paris and many other Movies Leal is a huge shopping mall right in the heart of Paris there is something there for everyone and it’s a place where they can feel normal since there are international Brands and things they’ll easily recognize at the same time there are street performers and cool fun shops and street food all

Visited tourist attraction in the world and by far Colleen’s Favorite All right so thank you for watching this video please make sure to hit the like button and don’t forget to subscribe and click the Bell so you don’t miss a thing until next time all well walking the streets of Paris is fun and magical but sometimes the weather

Doesn’t cooperate it can be raining or it’s very cold or it’s a hot summer day so where do you go and what do you do today we’re going to discover an amazing option for this video we booked an authentic Paris guide to walk us through the historic covered passages of Paris

Just imagine how parisians did luxury shopping in the early 1800s and those covered passages are still there so you ready to go see them I’m ready to go let’s shop bour I’m Fabian so I will be your guide today I will show you the most beautiful passages in Paris we’re here at the pet Royale and this is the place where it really all started it was the trendy hot spot they lived upstairs and they opened this downstairs to bring in money and they had cafes and shops and theater and everything so so they could support their lifestyle without going bankrupt

And it made it the hot spot to be for anybody who had money this is where they got the idea to make the covered passages so the king lived just a a couple of blocks away from here at the Lou but this were Noble residences all

Around the court yard here and in these galleries there’s furniture and shoes and clothing if you’re looking for stuff that’s made in France and you have a bunch of money to spend this is a great place to come you can get some little gifts and souvenir type things but it’s

Not chachy it’s not cheap this is nice high quality stuff not touristic [Applause] Shopping after 230 years there’re still making medals that’s Amazing we’re in gallery vbm which is a passage but it’s a particularly elegant passage so we call it a gallery that’s the way the owner designed it he wanted it a little bit something a cut in this Gallery we have some really nice places to eat there’s a bakery that serves a

Full breakfast I’ve seen some lovely lunches over there but we also have a store where you can buy gowns a place to buy fine rare jewelry exotic pearls exactly fabrics and and beautiful items of luxury in this place so something that I’ve noticed in the kids stores is that you know I’m

Used to stuff to animals like you know Teddy bears but I’ve seen here stuffed food so they have a a strawberry tart a miloy dessert there’s a religious dessert a tar Citron I’ve seen wedges of cheese and different kinds of cheese as stuffed animal type toys it’s just

Crazy and one of the really interesting things is if you can see the the Mosaic floor this is done by the same Italian design who did the mosaics and the Opera garer which is the big beautiful opera house here in Paris so this Gallery was built in 1826 was opened in 1826 and

Inspired with Napoleon campaign as you can see all the so we can call it empire style decoration something I really love you have a lot of the reliefs here I know we had some in uh some of the other galleries but this this uh design in the

Walls like these wreaths and things like the relief and and when they say a library they don’t mean a library a library is a bibliotech but here in France a library is a bookstore and so these guys have used books antique books original editions and they also have

Antique postcards that you can buy right here so are you going to take me to the next passage yeah let’s go perfect let’s [Applause] go so we’re here in the Panorama passage which is the oldest one after the model was made in the pet Royale they called this place the Panorama passage because

When they built it they had no cameras no anything and they painted all kinds of different designs on the walls and so people would come here and see a painting of a jungle and feel like they’re in the jungle and so in this one if you arrive from one street you might

Think there’s not much but come all the way in and and make the turn you have international restaurants classic traditional French restaurants and there are a lot of stamp collectors the filelist uh shops here um with amazing historic things and and just beautiful and we’re right by the gr Boulevard and

We you know these these passages a lot of these are very close together so you can just walk from one to the next and so now we’re going to walk to another one yeah you can see it from here look let’s go we’re here at the passage jroy which is

Extraordinary this is where the m gravon is here the wax museum in this place there are very unique shops here they have a cane maker that you can buy you know like up to $1,000 for a cane and you know just extraordinary high quality stuff they have other places with

High-end decor and gifts collectible toys and cards and puppets and all kinds of stuff and of course they have some bookstores and there’s clothing stores but this is not the kind of place where you’re going to find a store that you’ve seen anywhere else these are family-owned parasian shops

Here we have also the hotel chopan which is a place where they say shopan would come and stay sometimes it’s alleged that he would meet up here with J no proof of that but it’s alleged and the hotel is here and it’s right off the Grand Boulevard a block from the Opera

On the Grand Boulevard you’re in the middle of Everything right across from the jofa is the passage Vero was built in 1847 and you can’t help but notice the bright light and the architectural features the walls are lined with cafes antique dealers old books sellers stamp collectors and shops with all kinds of unique Items so we’re here now in passage chazelle this is the longest Gallery in this part of town it’s about 500 ft long and we’re very close to the Japanese Embassy so in this Gallery we have a lot of restaurants there are Japanese chinese vietnamese Korean restaurants fantastic at the other end there’s

Actually a Greek not sure how that one snuck in but we have shoes and gifts and stationer shops with puzzles eyewear stores and there’s even a place in here where you can get a massage and book taking a nap go figure you’ve heard of nabster this is like a NAB store it’s a

Nap store where you can come in and just relax relax take a nap get a massage and we’re not talking about naughty naps this is a place where you can go and rest and sleep just here in the gallery in the middle of the day y it’s really crowded here during lunchtime because

There’s so many restaurants and so many good restaurants so if you want to try it I’d say come over here before noon 11:30 11:45 so that you’re in front of the line then the line will be a lot shorter and you’ll get amazing Asian Food so take me to the next Gallery are you ready okay let’s go this Way this passage like most passages I imagine um this one was named after verod DOA so this is what you would consider a shopping mall from the 1820s this is one of the first ones built and this is after the Industrial Revolution because before that they had to

Manufacture and sell all together and so now that they could just bring the merchandise here and sell it brought value to the street no mud it was nice and clean and this is where noble people shoed and so you can see here we still have the original wood facad and

Everything this was the onset of gas lights and stuff inside obviously they’re electric now and then just above the stores were the apartments where the sellers lived and so you have beautiful ceilings it’s covered it was warm in the winter and you know cool in the summer

And it just it protected the Shoppers to come in and have a beautiful experience of shopping the ancestor of the shopping mall exactly the ancestor of the shopping mall so the stores that I’ve seen here there’s a Salon de uh there’s a a hair salon a glove maker there’s a

Lot of leather there’s Furniture there’s a Lon violin maker and repair shop here that now sells guitars and the original Christian Laton shoe store right Here the passage to Grand surf is closer to L hall or the north side of the morray it was built in 1825 with rod iron lattice and glass and it’s just beautiful it’s one of the tallest and largest passages in Paris it’s best known for two specialty knitting shops but don’t

Overlook the cafes book sellers and other spots like the extraordinary collection of unique crafted items for home decor think Restoration Hardware on steroids with oldw World Charm in France the marads are a way of life it’s where the locals go to get their stuff like flowers meat produce all kinds of cheeses local stuff prepared foods they even have clothes and hats and sunglasses and all kinds of stuff but the problem is they’re not

Open every day they’re are 64 marays in the city of Paris and they each have their own days and times that they’re open so in this video we’re going to take you to five of the best maret the biggest the most robust and we’ll tell you where they are and when they’re open

So you can come and discover them when you’re in Paris are you ready to go I am so ready to go Aliva let’s Go now we’re going to the Marche at marber mutuality and we’re going to meet our friend Karen who just flew in from Canada and check it out so let’s Go so this is a very typical French market and it has everything from vegetables fresh cheese sh cutry all kinds of things to eat and it also has clothes and jewelry and wooden objects and uh you know different kind of Curiosities and stuff and it’s a great

Place just to come I don’t know try on a hat get something for a picnic bring something back to your Airbnb some nice really fresh things the maret at marbert mutuality is open on Tuesdays Thursdays and Saturdays and you have to come in the morning cuz they all close uh at

Noon or just a little past so great Spot and for the shut Tre and picnic there you Go and here is Mel which is one of the top bakeries in Latin quarters and you can tell it’s a good Bakery because you have a line of people waiting to get in and the Metro is right here you come out of the metro and Voila and that is a fresh herb mil check it out this Marche is plasm and PLM is a stop on the line 7 Metro with an escalator that comes up right at the market and in here you have fabulous little clothing shops uh fruits vegetables meat Olive

Dealers nut dealers all kinds of stuff like most markets but this one also has a gorgeous Fountain and other particular little things like Regional stuff stuff and just some charming little things and I’m really enjoying wandering around right here in a cool Shady spot covered right off the metro in the middle of

Summer so this one’s really cool and it’s also a great place to pick up some yummy stuff and head over to the jardan de plant for a picnic and have some fun it’s a good spot it’s like Peter bread with Thyme and lemon and that’s what I love in the

French markets you have a lot of um exotic food vendors that will sell like their Specialties you know Chinese Asian Lebanese African sometime we’re Good see she’s wrapping up a cheese over there and right there she’s going to put it Su so you can actually take it in a Plane so now I have a fabulous fresh French cheese that is wrapped that doesn’t smell doesn’t need Refrigeration I can take that on the airplane and enjoy it back in the US so I don’t have to eat grocery store industrial cheese when I get home one of the things that’s really cool in

Grocery stores but especially in little markets like this is they have fresh pressed apple juice rhubarb juice strawberry juice all made fresh from local produce it’s amazing we’re here at the maret grenell which is right around the corner from Eiffel Tower underneath the Metro passage and this Market is huge and it

Is full full of everything from bras and bathing suits jewelry Handbags and the typical vegetables and things that you would find in any maray but this one has the best selection of pre-made Foods you’re going to find I mean roasted potatoes uh beef bergon like you can

Find just about anything you want in this market it is fabulous and if you’re traveling with kids they have chicken tenders straight from the farm that actually look like chicken tenders but you can buy fruit fruits and vegetables or hats and Handbags and shoes and sunglasses you can buy anything you want

Right here including amazing fresh bread and pastries and even if you’re not staying in this area there’s a metro station at either end so it’s worth stopping in just to experience walking through this market and right here you can buy as cargo all kinds of flavors and on to the next Market let’s Go this one is the Marche KU Boo and it is amazing there is an indoor part and an outdoor part and they have everything Here and if you’re here early in the morning they have rotisserie pigs and like chickens but pigs on fire just spinning rotisserie for you they have of course the vegetables the Shak cutry items they have a section on beer cheese like anything that you want to find you’ll find right

Here and when the outdoor section is open they have hats clothes jewelry like all kinds of amazing things this is a huge Market it’s tons of fun we’re right here near the best deal and it’s just fabulous and if you’re here when the other markets near where you’re staying

Aren’t open this one is open inside 7 days a Week this is the Marche at bastile right at the Metro station so it’s really easy to get to and this is one of the largest marays in Paris and here you’re going to find just about anything you could ever want in a maré they have clothes shoes

Handbags sunglasses and and then if you go a little bit beyond that you get to a section with food and of course they have fresh produce CH cutry cheese spices olives all kinds of stuff and you can get ethnic foods and and readymade Foods so that you can take it here eat

It on the spot or take it to a picnic you can find a fresh crepe maker African cuisine they’ve got spots where you can get a fresh beef bergon or paa all kinds of things that you can get right here this is a fabulous Market I’m having a spiced chicken and pepper

Sandwich it’s not spicy but it has a lot of flavored spices in it with onions and peppers and it’s just shredded up chicken and it’s really yummy on a fresh baguette sandwiches are so much better in a baguette they’re open on Thursdays and Sundays in the morning and if you want

To have the full experience of a French maré this is a place right Here and here you have a metro station bre Sab which comes right out on the Marche sometimes when you’re in Paris you just want to do something different and today I want to go on a picnic and whether you’re going on a romantic adventure like we are or just building a

Memorable experience a picnic may be the right thing for you too so today we’re going to show you what to buy where to buy it and how to build a perfect French picnic and then we’ll show you five amazing places to go on that picnic with phenomenal views so let’s go Shopping I love having fruit in my picnic so let’s go buy Some now let’s go get some cheese you could buy your cheese in a grocery store but that’s very industrial and if you want to have amazing cheese come to a from rerie they just have amazing stuff here the flavor is so much better and we’re taking some comp which is a

Harder cheese and since we’re just eating with our hands today at the picnic he’s going to cut that into smaller pieces for us and if you’re taking an cheese he asked us how many months of curing do you want your cheese to have so if you

Want it a little bit softer you can go with a six-month if you want it harder you can go with a 36 Monon we’re taking an 18mon somewhere in the middle you’re going to find tons of those streets all over Paris where you have a bonger a shaku Tre and a ferie

And all those streets are included in our Paris travel guide which is available for a free download Below in the description so get a copy for yourself print it and bring it with you you’ll be glad you did now it’s time to go get some Shutu what I in this shakuri you can buy the the Pat the qura some different kinds of sausages hands cured meat but they also have the terama which is like a whipped up things with tuna or Lobster or things like that which are amazing as well so you can just make your picnic

However you want but we’re going to go with the cured Meat Salami so we got uh cheese we got sharket tree and we got some fruit now what we need is some wine so let’s go for the wine we’re going to a cavist when you’re in Paris you absolutely want to buy your wine in a cavist because usually they’ll give you a amazing

Advice on the wine that is going to pair the best with the food that you’re having and if you buy in a supermarket you’re buying ordinary wine and everything so here we’ll have amazing wine and it will be perfect with what we’re having so that’s why we’re here so

We’re having a little picnic and we got ourselves some cheese we got camar we got con we got got uh p and then we got some so and then we’re going to get a baguette after that so that’s what we’re having what would you recommend the more

Conventional picnic wine would be a b a g slightly less quality I’m thinking that if you’re drinking it in a paper cup yeah there is a limit in the quality that you want to go for you want to go for something that’s going to be fruity agreeable to drink very nice with the

Cheese nice with the saus but nothing too complex nothing too expensive because it’s a little wasted in a paper cup yeah we have plastic cups that’s actually a good advice thank you so this is a p no we got a half a bottle which is perfect for a picnic because it’s

Just two of us and uh this is a light wine which is going to be great according to our cavis so we’re going to take his advice and we’ll buy it right Now if you need any other wine or champagne chilled we have a fast Chiller in four 5 minutes we can chill rosé wine champagne beer anything you want now one of the things that is awesome in France is that they sell half bottles of wine and also champagne so if you want to

Celebrate with a bottle of champagne or a bottle of white wine um you don’t have to buy a full bottle and it’s just two of you you buy a half bottle they’ll chill it for you and it’s awesome so now we’re going to go get a baguette and some dessert let’s go

Look at all the desserts so lastly we got a dessert a little uh lemon pie and a baguette we got the trdy grain which is not the standard white bread baguette but it’s the traditional with grains and everything and we like it better and now

We’re going to go and have picnic by the Apple Tower let’s go so the Sha Mouse which is the Green Lawn in front of the eiha Tower or behind the eiel tower I don’t know if it’s front the back the Eiffel Tower facing the Eiffel Tower is literally like a 5

Minute walk from so that’s super convenient and here we go so let’s take a spot over here right in the back with the view go let’s go Hey cheers oh wow this is really good really fruity very light this is really a great wine this is not sponsored this is just really good stuff I’m hungry now let’s eat that’s delicious it’s hard to beat a good camel bear there’s a lot of different kinds of

Cured meat so you could get a pruto an Iberian ham or or something but this is a a French salami and it’s Delicious you can get the pre- slice and mo chak tree which makes it super convenient it’s such a delightful thing with a piece of baguette so in France that’s called a tarte Al Citron but for me it will always be a French key lime pie bite yeah I do she didn’t eat it

So to that’s my youth when I was a young boy that’s what I would always um love at parties and special dinners they just bring me back to when I was a young boy good there are adorable little parks and squares and benches all over Paris

And you may find one of those and there are five places in Paris that I love to go for picnics obviously right here at the Shams de Mars in front of the Eiffel Tower number two there are beautiful vignettes and spots all around the jard de Luxembourg that are ideal for picnics

And in jand De Luxembourg you want be able to sit on the grass like you do here but there are chairs all around available for you to sit number three the square ver galon which is right at the tip of the IL very close to Pont n

Which is a lovely park where you can go inside the green area with benches and things or you could just sit and dangle your legs right at the send it’s charming and number four the K desan which is really the river front area down along the scent and it runs all

Through the center of Paris where you can sit right at the edge there’s plenty of places anywhere you want with a lot of different fabulous views where you can have a picnic and number five at the steps of the sacur where you have some of the most beautiful views of Paris

It’s Lively street performers all kinds of stuff that is a fabulous place to grab a bite and have a picnic and those are our five favorite places to stop and have a picnic so when you’re having a picnic in Paris they actually are three simple rules the first one is about drinking in

Public you’re totally allowed to have a bottle of wine and drinking in the street there’s no laws prohibiting that however in many touristic spots the cops will do the rounds and they’ll basically be looking for people that are out of control with drinking so as long as

You’re having a bottle of wine a couple of Cups you won’t have any problems but if you star to be a little bit belligerent and you know have a little bit too much to drink the cops will have an opinion about it and they may take

Your bottle of wines away from you the second thing is actually not many parks in allow you to walk or sit on the grass but in places like pmo or Jour they won’t allow you sitting on the grass here’s the rule about figuring out whether you can sit on the grass or not

Are there any people sitting on the grass if nobody’s sitting on the grass and probably you shouldn’t either the next rule is about buying the right food for the right setting like cam bear and a pie and a bottle of wine is totally appropriate sitting in the grass here at

The EO Tower but that might not be appropriate for PL Devo or the try Garden so just get a sense of what would be appropriate and what you want to enjoy because some places are better suited for readymade sandwich or food in the container than just spread it out

Like this and last rule please pick up up to yourself because there are birds and animals that are going to be around and they’re going to go through your stuff so it just make sure you grab everything after your and put it in a trash can just be respectful

  1. It is difficult to decide which location is the best. Paris has a rich history. Versailles and the Louve were incredible. Eiffel Tower was also incredible. Such a great city to stroll, eat, stroll, eat and repeat.

  2. Over two hours of Frenchies? Yes, please! ☺️
Happy New Year Colleen and Antoine! 🥂🍾 Thank you for another wonderful year of sharing Paris with us! Cheers to Olympic 2024, looking forward for your videos! ❤

  3. We are neighbours from Spain. My husband and I are learning so much from your videos and marking down places to eat and visit when we visit France a few times a year. Many thanks fro you informative videos. Happy New Year to both of you.

  4. I've visited Chantilly Castle many times and never knew there were private rooms that can be visited; so another trip there is on the cards… Electric scooters are banned in Paris since 1st September 2023. Really enjoyed the video; great compilation of what to do in and around Paris.

  5. Wishing everyone a happy and healthy new year. Many thanks to Colleen and Antoine for a fabulous year of the best videos of Paris and the outskirts anywhere on the Internet. You are so hardworking and thorough in your tours — that Les Frenchies is truly a one stop site for informed and honest suggestions for what is on offer in Paris! Your site has become my Saturday morning (with a second cup of coffee) routine here in New York City.

  6. Could you please STOP recommending mcdonald's under any circumstances?!
I won't say why. Just put your American mind and education at work (just for a bit…).
    Thanks!
