We went sightseeing in Arashiyama and rode on a Jinrikisha (rickshaw) to Bamboo forest. “Jinrikisha” is a small, two-wheeled, cart-like passenger vehicle with a retractable roof, pulled by one or more person. It was widely used in Japan as means of transportation until early 20th century when horse coaches, trains, and automobiles became popular. “Shafu” will act as a tour guide and take you around the major sightseeing spots in the city by “Jinrikisha”.
