Crossing The European Continent – Oslo [Norway] to Costa Blanca [Spain] EP10

Welcome to the European million city Frankfurt I´m sorry, but we´re not going into the city centre I really don´t like cities [laughter] We´re heading for Walldorf I wonder if that´s where the Walldorf Salat is coming from thuu… the GPS has gone totally mad driving around in circles… in Walldorf

Ain´t got time for that but I will probably come back to Walldorf so… i got to… I got to enjoy I gave up on this expedition via France there to many hours that goes away when the GPS just takes me around and around in every city

I´ll get back on the highway, and get to camp and it´s also too warm to drive around in 30kph I´m burning up I´m passing a town called Mannheim I was supposed to go to a consert there once with “the dogs”

So I flew to Frankfurt, and when I got there they said “online” that the concert was cancelled So I never came down to Mannheim Now, I have put it on my map It´s 92 farenheit if you take 92 minus 32 divided on 2, you get approximately celcius that´s 30 degrees [celcius]

I will never complain on the heat because I´m Norwegian, but driving around in small towns in 30kph almost killed me [this is the sound I hear for hours] All Europe. Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, France, Spain, Italy… it´s warm everywhere….. It´s always so fun to explore new places

Like where we´re going to drive in and out from a gas station for example […..] tourist… yeah

One late evening, a crazy thought came to me. “What if I go to Spain tomorrow morning?” Next morning I woke up early and packed my bike with tent and food for 3 days in 30 minutes. Next thing I knew, I was on my way crossing the european continent driving from Oslo Norway to Costa Blanca Spain. Acting on impuls, as usual I don´t plan much. Passport, money and helmet, and I am on my way. Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, France and Spain. But will my 2007 Harley Davidson Road King manage a distance of 3460 kilometers? I am travelling alone and if anything goes wrong, few people will notice!

I am continuing my journey south of Frankfurt Am Main. I am planning to drive small roads via France to South Germany. The only problem is that is insainly warm. Will it work? I get to see the city Walldorf though…

  1. Hi there, I didn't realise there was more than one Walldorf in Germany. Morfelden-Walldorf has a very interesting medieval and modern history.

Trying to follow your route and looking forward to you getting on the wee roads.

    Stay cool, rock on.
