Singapore vs Thailand The Truth
Good morning good afternoon good evening whenever you’re watching this I’m Robbie with walking my shoes I am K all right guys we’re doing this short little video we’re just going to kind of tell you our thoughts about Singapore and how it Stacks up against Thailand for holiday travel or also if you wanted
To uh consider living here yeah but we’re going to give you our two cents our pros and cons of what we liked about Singapore what we don’t like about Singapore cor and we are going to unfairly compare it to Thailand so stay tuned to the end to get our final answer
Our final response so let’s get into it so yeah guys one of the things I really really liked about Singapore is everything is so clean it does rain a lot but everything is clean a lot of greenery and there just isn’t traffic there’s like hardly any cars here it’s
Like who drives I I don’t know Kitty traffic you like that yes no car no scooters no traffic yeah it’s really calm the streets here are just just slow and safe and clean because there’s no traffic and everything is so darn clean and fresh the air quality is really good here
Compared to Bangkok compared to patio or some of the other big cities in Thailand air quality is is perfect so it’s really kind of nice another thing that both Kitty and I really liked about Singapore was the diversity of restaurants myself being from America her being from Thai
She’s used to eating all sorts of Thai food which they have here tons of Thai food yeah but it’s like fusion with Japanese and Chinese food so the food here is actually pretty been been pretty darn good so yeah we both we both like the food quality the food options the
Many different mixtures of food and they have spicy which kitty likes they have not spicy which I like yeah the food has been uh excellent here and we both agree on that tons of choices of food did I say there’s no traffic this is like the main drag
Chinatown over here downtown over there in the financial area over there pretty cool the other thing we really also liked is that there’s things to do here in Singapore there are so many things to do you got big giant malls you got big centers you got sightseeing just so much
To do there’s always a club or something happening they get lots of western music artists come here and there’s just lots of stuff to do and things to see I don’t know how long that would really last if I lived here but I like doing stuff and
Lots of people people tons of tons of people another thing I personally liked I like the diversity of the Asian culture here it wasn’t just Thai or Chinese there’s just a mixture of everybody from Japanese to Thai to lot of mirar uh what else we found found some regular
Singaporeans no I don’t know uh people Singapore place I don’t know I know uh Myanmar India what’s something else you liked about this place um Singapore yes I like uh you see no car uh traffic is good I like a little food you know but in Thailand
They the bested for food but in Singapore it’s know but I like no car too much and I can walk to the Min load so easy you said you wanted to live here yeah okay in FD day I walk in the morning okay I think m I like Singapore
Easy for walk know the Danga where I walk at night um uh next day I think oh expensive all right so we’re going to get into some of the things we really didn’t like about singapor and I’m going to show you our hotel which is right there there’s our
Hotel right darn there and this is the China MRT they do have lots and lots of public transportation so we’ll start with that first they do have lots of public transportation but it isn’t the easiest to navigate oh I want to tell you guys in Singapore I cannot find a St
Food on the L yes I find a food on the Food Center only Food Center Mall yeah so that was one thing we didn’t like there there wasn’t really there isn’t any street food you’d have to go to certain areas in the city like haw trucks and stuff like that and the food
Here is excellent that was like like a huge plus here is the quality of food is really really very good but no street food no Street vendors nobody selling Packa pal nobody you have to hunt for your food here unless you like McDonald’s which they have plenty of um
Thailand easy Thailand is easy y the other thing we didn’t like about is when we did find food everything is so darn expensive the quality is great I can tell you that but it is a lot a lot more money so a typical lunch for myself and
Kitty when we were at the food carts and trucks and the night markets is about 2 to 300 bought including our drink we’re here it was just over $30 which is a th000 bot just to eat and get something cold to drink y so the price here is pretty pretty high
Um food in mawell uh Food Center mawell food center um today I get the food $5 Singapore $5 Singapore $10 Singapore so yeah we we went to lunch today and we spent about uh over $20 excuse me yeah over 20 Singaporean dollars in food and
It was a street food the other things is you got to pay for water if you want ice you want water you’re paying for it and the last thing that we really don’t like here in Singapore other than the cost which is a big thing is the fact that
The service and people don’t really smile here like they do in Thailand met a lot of singaporeans they’re friendly they want to help but they don’t genuinely smile and in Thailand is the land of smiles we really like that everybody Smiles in Thailand and just here here the service is lacking um
There is no such thing as a waiter or waitress or anything like that and I’ve been to a lot of of good restaurants here already again this is only a holiday travel for me I’ve only been here a few days we’ve really enjoyed our stay here in Singapore but does it Stack
Up in going to Holiday versus Thailand because it costs so expensive I would say no plus I love Thailand food there’s so many food options in Thailand the public transportation is so easy to navigate and cheap you can get a bolt a grab at a fraction of the cost it you
Can do it here in Singapore for so when we do the pros and cons we both agreed we’re going to stay in Thailand anyways guys we really appreciate you watching our video be sure to hit that like hit that subscribe thank you for watching us video at Singapore please go like And

Its a vacation! Enjoy π
It is because of strong currency that cost Singapore is expensive. If you earn in Singapore and spend in Singapore, in fact, the basic necessity might cheaper than thai local.
great video many thanks
Reason we got rid of street food stalls due to food safety and hygiene problems to people environment and to
roads safety. There are apps to help you to move around with public transports between buses and MRT.
Not an apple to apple comparison but I know it's for a fun video. I really like Thailand and regularly visit different parts of it. Glad you guys enjoyed your stay!
Not even a fair comparison because both are different countries. One is a small city state. The other has 70million people. Singapore play around with currency rate (not interest rate) to manage inflation. So currency is very strong.
Angmo always expect Asia to look like shanty towns, streets line with rubbish, foul smell, and its people in need of Angmoβs help!
I was in Bangkok with the family this Nov… The street food is a lot more expensive than I expected… While its true that I was living in the middle of the shopping district near Central World… 100 Baht for a stick of meat… does kind of hit the wallet… But we did manage to find cheaper meat on stick at some back alley behind shop houses where the Tuk Tuk drivers hangs around…
But YES… You are absolutely correct, its expensive in Singapore… As Singapore is considered to be the only High Income Developed Nation in S E Asia… And even for locals like me, sometimes it bites… Which is why we do yearly overseas trip to neighbouring countries like Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, etc… to kind of spend like Kings or Queens… as much as we can of course…
And also true… Our service sector couldn't match those of Thailand and most other places… Unless its the very high end type…
Everyone smiles in Thailand including the scammers ππ
No Traffic? Wrong time
its year end, many sporeans go overseas for holiday, thats why traffic is little….
Great video. Also enjoyed meeting you in person yesterday , keep it up.Best wishes for a happy new year for you and your partner.π
Go to satay street, most of the tourists like to go there at night for dinner
Yes you are right, even locals find the food expensive in Singapore.
With all due respect and no offense intended (seriously), SEA tourists are probably not the target audience for Singapore.
Singapore is often touted to be the safe haven for Europeans/ Americans to have a first taste of Asia without having the cultural / language shock.
Thailand has the best customer service, everyone smiles and welcome you.
π€π€π€π€π€π€π€π€π€π€π€ Can't remember the last time my family got shot at or took illicit drugs in Singapore
You should compare with Tokyo, London, or New York….definitely not Bangkok.
go to the expressways during rush hour lol!!
There is no good or bad where you chose to live in as long as you feel comfortable is most important.
