From here, recline the seat completely. There is plenty of legroom and we can fully stretch our legs. Although there are no doors on the seats, privacy is maintained.
Sleep for a few hours. Since it was a daytime flight, there was no mattress on the bed. It’s a 3 hour and 50 minute flight, so it flies by quickly. We departed from Male at 12:55 and arrived in Singapore at 20:45.
There is a 3 hour time difference between the Maldives and Singapore. It’s already night in Singapore. The lighting inside the plane is a calming color. The sky is shining red. Is it thunder? There are many tanker ships (cargo ships) parked near the airport. The night view is beautiful. The window seat is nice.

The aircraft is an Airbus A380-800. There are four classes: suites, business, premium economy, and economy.
The Airbus A380-800 is a large two-decker plane and the only one offering the suites. Economy and premium economy seats are on the first floor. 78 business seats and 6 suite seats are on the second floor. There are 78 seats in business class, which is a lot. The seat layout is 1-2-1.
On the A380, the two middle seats can be converted into a double bed by lowering the partition. We can’t do that on the A350. A380 seats have large backshells. Seat width is 25 inches (63.5 cm), seat pitch is normally 50 inches (127 cm), and fully flat 78 inches (198 cm).

Duty free magazine. The display design is different from the A350. There are three types of welcome drinks: champagne, orange juice, and cocktail. Wine list and in-flight menu. For flights longer than 6 hours, we will receive an amenity kit. On Japan routes, there is a luxurious Japanese course menu. International breakfast menu.
This is the in-flight meal menu for the opposite route. Drinks are exactly the same as on the A350. Monitor. It’s similar to the A350 (Long Haul). The flight map software is the same as the A350 (Long Haul). A 6 hour 35 minute night flight from Singapore to Tokyo.
The distance is 5598km (3478 miles). We can only sleep for 4 hours at most, and we are inevitably sleep deprived. It’s in the restroom. The color of the toilet bowl is a little more fashionable than the A350. There is only one table. Take a look at the amenities. Bags and sanitary napkins.
There are other amenities on this shelf. Shaving creams, razors, toothbrushes. Same as on the A350. The same goes for toiletries and perfumes. This time the towel wasn’t as hot as before. Watch the in-flight safety video. Since this is a Japanese route, the in-flight safety video has Japanese and English subtitles.
Flight attendants will give safety explanations while changing locations. A museum in Singapore called The-Intan. Explanation about safety during takeoff and landing. A theme park in Singapore called River Wonders. Instructions on wearing seat belts during takeoff and landing. Explanation about oxygen masks. Explanation about emergency exits. If we drop an electronic device, call a flight attendant. Smoking is prohibited on board. The design of the safety instructions varies depending on the equipment.
In-flight safety video finished. The in-flight safety video featured many scenes featuring female attendants. Next is a video explaining the business class seats. The two seats in the center can be moved up and down. Side pocket. Bed sheet, blanket and pillow. How to turn a seat into a bed.
If we ask the attendant, they will make the bed. Lumbar support. Video ends. The A380 business class seats have large back shells that provide privacy. The seats are near the main wings of the plane. Announcements are made in Japanese on Japanese routes.
This plane also uses Rolls-Royce engines and is said to be quieter than normal. Take off. It was late at night, so the lighting inside the plane was dim. The seatbelt sign has disappeared. Wi-Fi connection. In-flight Wi-Fi is not available unless we fly above a certain altitude.
After a while, try connecting to Wi-Fi again. The great thing about this flight is that it has free Wi-Fi even in business class. Make the seat completely flat. It’s easy because we can make it completely flat with just one switch. Making the bed was easy, so I did it myself.
The length of the bed is 78 inches (198 cm), giving us plenty of room to stretch out our legs. Nuts and almonds have arrived. We can get an amenity kit by asking the attendant. This is an amenity kit from a British fragrance maker called Penhaligon’s.
Facial mist, lip balm, hand lotion. Lipstick is easy to use. We can choose our in-flight meal after takeoff or before arrival. I did it before arriving. There are 4 types of continental breakfast bread. Cutleries are cold. Fruits. Although I had a continental breakfast, it was a bit unsatisfactory.
I ordered an additional cheese omelet. Contains a little cheese. I think Japanese food is more luxurious on Japanese routes. If you like Japanese food, we recommend Japanese food. 1 hour and 22 minutes left until arrival. Already at sea in Japan. We just saw the sunrise. It flies almost in a straight line.
The monitor screens were almost the same, but there were some slight differences. There is a library and games section. Duty-free in-flight magazine. Stuffed animal and doll. Airplane model. Stuffed mouse. A380 business class was comfortable. The seats are spacious and there is plenty of storage space, making it easy to use.
The clouds are beautiful. I’ve flown the A380 suites, but to be honest, business class is more than enough. Videos of first class and suites have been uploaded previously. The 6 hour and 35 minute flight goes by in a blink of an eye.
I got about 3 hours of sleep, but it would take a 10+ hour flight to get enough sleep. I feel refreshed since I arrived in the morning. Both the A350 (Long Haul) and A380 were comfortable.
Personally, I liked the cabin of the A380, which has seats with large back shells, which felt more luxurious. The middle two seats of the A380 business class can be converted into a double bed, so it might be a good idea if you are traveling with two people. Finally, we see the A380 plane.
Thank you for your viewing.
