This time I was planning to mainly visit the koalas and the elaphant, but unfortunately the koalas were in the middle of a nap and didn’t move at all.
Instead I could meet an orangutan and a rhinoceros at the right time.
I had a great time being healed by the facial expressions of the orangutans and the power and cuteness of the rhinos.
I was particularly lucky as I happened to visit the rhinoceros at the time of feeding, and was able to witness the impressive meal right up close.
Once in a while, it’s nice to go back to your childhood and visit a zoo.
This is a recommended spot to spend some relaxing time surrounded by nature.
It’s about 30 minutes from Shinjuku by Keio line, one of the centers of Tokyo, so it’s perfect for a day trip.
