Frankfurt am Main Location : Roßmarkt and Hauptwache the Roßmarkt has been part of the Frankfurt Christmas market since 2021. Weihnachtspyramide(German Christmas Pyramid) Christmas Pyramids are a traditional German decoration dating back to the 16th century. Champignons mit Knoblauchsosse (mushrooms in a creamy garlic sauce) Gebrannte Mandeln (German Candied Almonds) Kartoffelpuffer (German Potato Pancakes)
Kartoffelpuffer is a quintessential German treat beloved across every region of Germany. There’re 3 different types of sauce – Garlic sauce, Quark and Apple Sauce. I like Kartoffelpuffer with apple sauce 🍎 The outside is crispy and the inside is soft.
My son can ride “The Wheinachts Express” next year on my lap 🙂 Germknödel (sweet dumpling) we got a Germknödel with cinnamon on the top A classic Germknödel is filled with spiced plum jam and served with melted butter and a mix of poppy seeds and sugar on top.
Surprisingly it was the best Germknödel I’ve ever eaten so far in Germany.
