Bellingham, Washington is a city located about 90 miles due north of Seattle along the beautiful Puget Sound. Situated in Whatcom county, the city is home to about 90,000 residents along with the Alaska Ferry’s southern terminus, city deer, and plenty of bald eagles. It is also home to the BNSF Railway’s Bellingham Subdivision which travels between Everett and the US-Canadian border at Blaine, Washington. The stretch of track around Bellingham is some of the most beautiful in the Pacific Northwest, passing right along the water’s edge for several miles. Come along as we take a look at Amtrak Cascades passenger trains as well as BNSF Freight through Bellingham, Washington as well as the surrounding areas.
