A video series where we share with you the beautiful island of Sri Lanka.
In this episode, we travel to the world famous Yala National Park. Situated in the vicinity of Hambantota city, Yala National Park is located on the southeast coast of Sri Lanka.
Road trips are always great when there are pit stops along the way. On this route we first stop for some hot coffee and cream buns as our late breakfast substitute, and later on after lunch, we had Kiri Pani for dessert.
We have never experienced a safari before, and were totally excited about the prospects of seeing leopards in their natural habitat. It was a long drive down to Yala from Galle, but definitely worth it. The park is divided into 5 blocks, but tours are mainly concentrated at Blocks 1 (the one we experienced) and 2, with two timings for entries, 6:00AM or after 4:00PM
This is definitely an adventure not to be missed. Yala is Sri Lanka’s most popular national park.
