After Sundown or maybe a little bit before that and then it’s going to blow and it’s not going to only blow offshore and up there in the northern sector but it’s going to blow in this neck of the woods along the coast it’s going to get quite nasty probably generate even

Bigger surf for tomorrow so I’ll be down here in the wind like a crazy man just so you can see exactly what is going on man it is gorgeous here today as I have to repeat one more time hey A guy by the name of Benny Warren is down there at

There they’ve been experiencing some really good fishing so that is great to see long range fishing continuing Kos on Lucas area sha Morgan he runs a boat called The Wild in sack and he says good Dorado fishing good yellow funa fishing and marlin fishing now some days it’s

Different one day you’ll get the Dorado one day you’ll catch a waho one day you’ll have really good Marlon fishing and then some days you get all of those combined so it just depends up there out and Contin 140 miles down below the Border they’re going to get some wind

Here tomorrow also but down there in that area whoa here it comes um down in that area we’ve seen some good yellowtail fishing on the yo-yo iron a lot of Rockfish occasional Big H but up in the inata area where the commercial serer Fleet that focus on

Blue fin tuna they’re all many already almost at their quota they are projected to have their quota of blue F tuna by the middle of the month coming from Louis per down there at it’s for real sportfish fishing Lou says they’re almost to their quote and then that

Means no more commercial pressure on our blue finin tuna fishery that is great news that should really really make for another great season 2024 is looking good Louis also saying there’s a lot of big Bonita down there occasional Yellow Tail really good rock fishing so South of the Border that is going really

Really well I have to mention to you that a guy with a heart of gold Doug tilk a Freeman Adventure family member Doug year number one he was down at 22nd Street Landing last night having dinner upstairs and he wanted to see the pride depart it was that special trip for gley

Right what is going on in So cal that is a question that looms great here on the morning briefing and fortunately I have an answer for you so right now you can keep sheep setting white fish and fish baths and halban so there’s a lot to do

No question about it and boats from the border down there in San Diego some are focusing strictly on halit in fact they have halet type Derbies or mini Derbies that they are conducting right now several other Landings and boats are doing much of the same in addition to

That there’s some pretty good wintertime Fass fishing going on I mean look at Marcus main on the Spitfire trigger fishing Sand Bass Calico bass pretty darn good fishing most of the time with that lead head and Squid you know a Fresh D squid or a live squid

In the winter time will really entice those bass into biting sometimes they’re a little lethargic their metabolism has slowed way down and they’re not all that eager to come out of their crevices and their hiding places to eat your bait but that candy bait that live squid or that

Fresh dead will in many cases convince them that they need to come out and bite something with a hook in it and that is to your advantage obviously so up and down the coast we have a lot of that going on there sheeps haded Whitefish you know the Monte Carlo over there at

22nd Street Landing in beautiful San Pedro California they continue to fish that stuff and so do several other Landings without getting into who and all of that just if you’re near a landing and more than likely that’s what they are going to be doing and that’s

Fantastic to see that all right taking a look at uh our Lobster situation that is still really good on the SW King Adrien Cruz and David Torus son almost got it right David uh they had great lobster fishing here recently really really good job on board the swore King for those

Cannot beat that that is for sure Captain Dave down there at Dana Point well watching here recently those orcas are showing up up and down the coast from San Diego up to point fman and even above that all the way up to Channel Island sometimes out toward Cataline

Island they were messing around with a mola mola so that’s pretty interesting those orcas are here feeding on Dolphin for the most part but they’ve been seen attacking grey whales as it is grey whale migration time right now the grays moving from the baring Seas of Alaska

Down to the warm water lagoons of Baja California that is a 10,000 mile round trip man that is one heck of a migration the largest longest migration of any mammal anywhere and you get to see it here in SoCal along with the orchest it’s been a spectacular whale watching

Be standing next to him when he does it one of these days throwing those lucky crab lures a chrome crocodile snagging live baate on the pear and using that closer into the surf those are all great methods and ways to take some really nice surfish here in Southern California

But this is going to have to calm down no question about it when we get deeper into winter talking about February when it’s really really cold that is when you are going to see these fish turn to bait for the most part you can still get an occasional bite on the artificials but
