Cabin-Hike in Berchtesgaden/Austria Day 1 & 2 – Summer 2023

My first video this year and I shall wish you all a beautiful 2024 made be great successful and full of joy and this video will be about my first Hut hike or Kevin hike or whatever you may call it in English in German it’s hon tour so it’s basically hiking from Cabin

To cabin and there’s this beautiful hiking culture in Germany where you’ve got people running cabins in the mountains serving food and the food often being brought by helicopter and then they accommodating hikers and I’m almost a bit embarrassed that I haven’t done a hiking tour like that earli in my

Life as I’m a hiking Enthusiast and as it is really beautiful but here I am finally doing a video or two videos on this trip so the first video will be about the first two parts of the hiking tour and the second video will be about the other three parts of this hiking

Tour all in all it’s a four night hiking tour so you we you’ll stay at Hut for four nights and it’ll take you 5 days though you could theoretically I think also Skip One Night on this particular hiking tour but then you’ll definitely have to walk a lot that second day

Actually there are also some other alterations that you could do to shorten this tour but I think to get the most out of it you should probably go and do the big 5day hiking Tour all right all right so here we are again at the Kik sea it’s still in my

Opinion one of the most beautiful lakes and I decided to just try out one of those flocks and possibly um take some nice photos with the camera that I got and that’s what I did with a beautiful view of the Kixy well in the first part of this hiking tour was really the easiest going up something like 700 M M and just walking for like 8 km so not really that much so here I am again um like one or two hours into hiking now and my hair

Already looks a bit messed up but that’s something that you can’t really pay attention to when hiking when doing sports in general now as I said the first hiking tool wasn’t all too special though the nice thing is on the way you can at least fill up your

Water something you can’t do on the tour that I took on the second day and that I believe is already the end of the first trip let’s see yeah lovely The View and that back there should be cabin that I stay today and I would actually say the highlight

Of that day was kind of the food that I had on the C mountain cabin and the few that I also had of the sun going down and then an even greater highlight on the next day was of course the sunrise and the way just felt when you were

Standing there and the sun was slowly coming up and warming you up the first rays of the sun letting the mountains glow in that beautiful red light all right and here we go again on the way to the Vasa arm the Vasa arm is about 8 hours away according to the

Sign I may actually take a bit longer because I’ll also take some photos but we’ll see so that’s down there Caron stall house where I came from and I started out somewhere down here I I suppose well further down um in the clouds now uh the clouds that you

Can see there or the fog is the kixy or the Kix is below those clouds and I’m now going up the uh schnip Stein which is right behind me where the other hikers are already going and we’ll probably see us later stop over There and now all the way up here this is the schnip Stein right behind me and I came from the car house as I have said already Super tiny mountain peak came from there I’m not sure whether you can see the airplane or not but I think it’s quite amazing that someone is up there probably traveling possibly to their holiday possibly working at traveling for work and I’m down here enjoying this beautiful

Lake in the sun with quite a lot of wind but nevertheless absolutely beautiful and warm enough well and after you’ve been at the sea lines here by way I got to translate that to English because it’s kind of funny lakely Lake basically um you will then go on a couple more kilometers

Until you finally reach the Vasa arm and before you actually reach it you will be rewarded with some great views of the Uber sea and also a little bit of the kunic sea now in my opinion actually the way between the sea line Sea and the

Vasa arm that’s the hardest part of the entire hike I would say because you’re at 1,00 something like 1,800 m then you go up again to like 2,000 and then it goes down to 1,200 and then you go up again to 1,400 and finally reach the vas

Arm after some arious hiking on a rather Narrow Path but with wonderful view on the OB OB scene some could and one more special thing about the Vasa Al was that during that time the Moose were out and they were making those moose sounds screaming shouting whatever you call it

Which was kind of cool and I also got to take a picture of one of these though because I had to use a really high ISO the picture didn’t turn out that well and this is it already with this video and I will greet you again next video

With the sunrise at the Vasa Alm and I’ll probably be talking about the rest of the hiking Tour

My first cabin-hiking-tour in Berchtesgaden at the end of summer 2023: I decided to spontaneously go for a hike because the weather was nice and really wanted to explore more of Berchtesgaden. I found the tour on alpenvereinaktiv.com, a German website by the German Alpine Club (=Deutscher Alpenverein=DAV). The tour is called “Große Sommer-Reibn durch das Steinerne Meer” and here is a link to it: https://www.alpenvereinaktiv.com/de/tour/grosse-sommer-reibn-durch-das-steinerne-meer/9355815
