UNITED AIRLINES Business Class (Polaris) | Boeing 777-300ER Brussels to Washington
Welcome to Brussels International Airport, the main getaway to the country of Belgium in Western Europe This is the Boeing 777-300ER that will fly us to Washington (aircraft registration number N2140U; built in 2017) United’s Boeing 777-300ER features 60 Business Class seats spread across two stylish cabins in the front of the plane
The forward Business Class cabin has 28 seats, while the rear Business Class cabin has 32 seats The seats are arranged in a staggered 1-2-1 configuration, with direct aisle access for all passengers The Business Class seats are crafted as individual, forward-facing, suite-like pods
Odd-row center seats are closer together (with a divider), while even-row seats are closer to the aisle and a bit less private Similarly, odd-row window seats offer more privacy, since they are located a bit further away from the aisle
Bulkhead seats at rows 1 and 9 have wider footwells and are the best seats on the aircraft The captain is welcoming the passengers and informs us of a flight time of approximately 8 hours We’re leaving the gate at 12 pm local time (on-time departure)
The safety video is played as we taxi to the runway A Tuifly Boeing 737 is taking off ahead of us Brussels Airport has a runway system with 3 runways which together form the shape of a Z
United’s Boeing 777s are powered by General Electric GE90-115B engines, rated up to 115,300 pounds of thrust each Have you ever flown with United Airlines? If so, what was your experience? Leave a comment
Let’s have a look at the seat: an enclosed storage area above the side table holds a bottle of water & the headphones The outer wall of the console features the IFE handset, the power outlets, a USB port, as well as a reading light
Right in front of the seat is a 16-inch TV screen with a drawer underneath which is large enough to store a laptop The suite’s side wall features a panel with the controls for the seat position & lighting The tray table folds out from underneath the TV screen
All Business Class passengers get a Therabody amenity kit, which holds an eye serum, face spray, and hand cream United offers fabulous Saks Fifth Avenue bedding, which includes a day blanket from fashion designer Claude Kameni Selected bedding items are made with recycled plastic, aligned with United’s goal to reduce its environmental impact
On today’s flight, a lunch is served after takeoff and a light dinner prior to arrival A hot towel is provided by the crew prior to the lunch service Aperitif: a glass of Champagne & warm nuts Appetizer: smoked Nordic salmon with beetroot & horseradish tartare, lemon and dill sprigs
Entrée: halibut with lemon butter sauce, herbed new potatoes, blanched broccoli, and roasted patty pans Assorted cheese plate with grapes & crackers Mid-flight snacks are on display in the galley and comprise sweet & savory snacks, fresh fruits, and grilled cheese toastie
It’s time for some rest: at the push of a button, the seat converts into a flat bed with a 180-degree recline United Airlines offers a variety of entertainment options, with a seemingly never-ending selection of TV shows & movies
United Airlines also offers onboard internet (the price depends on the destination and the flight duration) United names it Business Class after the North Star, Polaris (the airline aims to offer a shining star of Business Class travel)
A light meal is served prior to arrival: spiced rigatoni pasta with basil pesto, Parmesan, mozzarella, sun dried tomatoes After our crossing of the Transatlantic Ocean, we’ve started our descend towards Washington Dulles Airport
The airport, which opened in 1962, is named after John Foster Dulles, an influential U.S. Secretary of State during the Cold War As of 2021, it is the second-busiest airport in the Washington & Baltimore metropolitan area and the USA’s 28th busiest airport Washington Dulles International Airport is a hub for United

Thank you for sharing🙋🏻🙋🏻✌✌
Great report. I have to try one day.
so excited for all the upcoming us videos
I'm looking at the safety video thinking how unnecessary the theatrics are in light of the JAL collision this week. Safety videos shouldn't be set in any other environment other than the type being flown on with no comedic and humorous words. Yes, it sounds boring but theres absolutely nothing funny about an evacuation. Should actually be written into operating laws as a matter of urgency.😑
Obviously you have flown business class with many other airlines, how would you rate United against these airlines?
A saturday just wouldn't be the same without a new video from Dr. LTE.
Not sure you agree but the North American carriers offer a lesser product for the price compared to European/Asian carriers
What happened, I miss the written caption and bits of aviation infos???
Awesome job 👏. But if you want good customer service look somewhere else 😉.
I’ve never had a good flight on United but yours looked pretty good 😊
no lounge visit in Brussels this time?
Polaris Business Class showed a decent safety video, another expert filmed the whole video 🙂
I like the lounge, especially a plane can chill and see planes…
Cannot wait for next week, the hotel looks gorgeous, cannot wait for next week, AMAN.
What a lovely video. Again, smooth, visuals, nice audio and informative sub titles. The UNITED AIRLINES needs to get their act together. On one of their screen displays, they showed air speed in miles per hour (mph) but they failed when they showed KPH. This failed attempt at conversion from Imperial measurement to Metric measurement, means NOTHING AT ALL. In the metric system, the symbol used to represent kilometer(s) is lower case "km". Metric notation does not take any plural forms. This is stipulated in the statutary design of the Systeme Internationale. The SI Units for speed are therefore "km/h". So, any representation of air speed would be "xxx km/h". There is no other alternative. There are no house styles. This is the legislated symbol. I'm not surprised, as the USA could never get its mind together when it comes to the Metric System.. SPEAK to them. Damn their isolation.
Polaris lounge looks modern and clean with good selection of food. My abiding memory of Dulles Airport was an intended flight from Washington to London in 2002. On engine start-up, huge plumes of smoke started to come from the port engine and we were forced to return to the stand. All the passengers were bussed to a Holiday Inn for an overnight stay, and I can recall eating slightly warm pizza at midnight. Happy days! 😎
I'm delighted to see Dulles Airport (IAD) briefly introduced on the channel I always enjoy watching. Welcome with open arms to my hometown where I live! I hope you had a wonderful time at the capitol of the United States and NYC as well.
Just took my first Business class flight at the end of 2023 and it was this exact cabin! It was so comfy (though getting in and out was a bit tight in the odd rows). The food was much better than expected (short rib) and being able to sleep lying flat was AMAZING! Thank you for inspiring me to take a chance and do it!
It is a pleasure to spend the last morning of the week viewing an LTE video.
This is a calming way for us to dream and plan for our next get away! 💚
🤩Feliz ano novo a todos🤩
I am so like the background music in your video! So calm & so comfortable! It's the most important reason I keep watch every update videos
Nice video, the presentation of the food was pretty good.
Always nice to see you on my side of the pond, Doc. 😉 As an aviation geek, by far the best part of any flight for me is just looking out the window. So, in general, I'm not a fan of business class seats, since they tend to be too far from the window and/or angled away from the window. However, the seat that you had was actually one that I wouldn't mind. Not angled and right beside the window. I still would rather save a lot of money and just get a window seat in economy. But, as always…to each their own. 🙂
beautiful footage of takeoff! I took this exact route in business 4 years ago. never again! the most claustrophobic business experience of my lifetime.
Grat video, everything looked very nice, the only thing is that the food didn't seem very appetizing.
Why you blue the crew faces…. It has no sense….. Buuuuuu to that
Great, i love your Video´s so much.
Lovely video. My favourite part was the take off into the puffy clouds. Exceptional.
💙
United would actually be good if they fired their staff that’s terrible and as disgusting as their food
Great An Video this Beautifull
Great flight
No left hand thumb-ring! I think you both are absolutely fantastic.
Given how few pax were in the two business class sections, UA probably lost $$ on this flight!
Nice video 💕
United's profit for 2023 is pre-tax income of $1.5 billion. But they only offer PJs in Polaris Class on flights over 14 hours? Words escape me. The food was beyond revolting. Served all on one tray. And United wants Polaris to shine? Try polishing it a little bit more, kids. Excellent travel report, as usual!
guys i have a question, how do these type of travel vloggers get the budgets and all ? like initially, now they r established in yt channel but how did they get when they start?
It's EMPTY ??
