Turda Gorge (RO: Cheile Turzii)
Is a Romanian national reserve in the Occidental range of the Carpathian Mountains, which had been inhabited since the Neolithic. The Gorge is also known as the ‘Western Road’ to the capital of Dacian Kingdom, Sarmizegetusa.

Poiana Brașov
Is a Romanian ski resort located in Brasov county. From Poiana Brașov you can hike Cristianu Mare Peak (4.757 ft) and Postavaru Peak (5.262 ft). Alternatively, they can be reached via the cable car.

Râșnov Citadel (RO: Cetatea Râşnov)
Is a medieval fortress bruiat between 1211 and 1225. In 1335, during the Tatar incursions that ravaged Burzeland, the Citadel remain unconquered, however, in 1421, the Citadel was attacked by the Ottoman army. Later, the Citadel was damaged by a fire and an earthquake but it served as a ‘home’ for the Wallachian refugees during the resurgent movement led by Tudor Vladimirescu. Today, the Citadel is being restored by the local municipality and can be visited for free.

Hălchiu Fortified Evangelical Church
The church’s structural elements date back to the 13th century and this is due to the fact that it was destroyed almost in its entirety during an earthquake that took place in 1802, however, fully rebuilt thereafter. Today, the church organises weekly services for the German community in the area.
