2 weeks because of a bunch of other things when all combined led to a 3 week break first of all many of you already know that my day in the life videos as well as my behind- the- counter videos take several weeks to produce so our

Schedule is pretty tight as it is but for one of our day in the life videos I was planning to film a few weeks in advance a day in the life of a Japanese it kept on getting postponed for filming permissions for parts of the day I thought they had cleared everything on

Their side but just the day before they told us that they couldn’t get permission so it didn’t make sense to go ahead with the filming and I kept on passing up the opportunities to film because I thought that this video was going to happen after they had

Rescheduled the next week on top of this we agreed to film another trip video that we’ll be releasing in the coming weeks where we fly in a helicopter to our remote Japanese spot and this video filming was about a week long so that’s why we originally had a one we break but

This filming got extended and rescheduled a bit due to weather conditions so that kind of threw us off which then forced us to cancel one of my planned street food videos which could have been released during the break oh yeah and another day in the life that I

Filmed earlier this year I was going to try to release during this time but it got postponed after already starting the edit because they wanted to wait until next year to release it’ll be an awesome video just got to wait till next year it’s all kind of confusing because we

Had to move around the schedule and like we were going to do this and that that didn’t work out so we did this and then we were going to do that so yeah I apologize it is a little bit confusing but just the pieces didn’t fall in place

Oh and on top of all this I had to deal with some family issues which forced me to fly to the Philippines for 3 days just a pretty hectic time trying to manage the schedule and instead of trying to kill myself I decided to take

A deep breath take it all in and just enjoy the time with my family hence the 3- week break the year itself was also kind of like this a lot of up and downs a lot of things that we planned and just didn’t work out but you know it happens

To everyone the schedule always doesn’t work as you want it but you know it just is what it is and you know it’s always been our goal to release one video a week every Saturday 9:00 a.m. Japan time so again so we can spend the time with

One thing we were able to set up our office Studio it took a little more than I expected to get it set up just how he wanted but I’m just so happy how it all turned out well except for one issue I did have with some of the thin acoustic

To generation I think for me the saddest thing to see is when there isn’t another generation to follow as I see firsthand even just in a day how much work and effort is put into something that so many people appreciate and love at least

For now I can shine my light on it so that even more people can experience the same joy and believe it or not sometimes in the videos I don’t get to share each person’s full story because there’s just so much that I couldn’t fit it all into

To the video for example matsuk kawasan in his younger years was a train fighter and kickboxer who would actually compete I guess if you looked at him closely maybe you could tell and takaya’s hobby is actually taking pictures of trains I guess knowing this makes even more sense

Why he became a train conductor or takuya son’s hobby is fishing and also that he loves his work so much that he jokingly calls it his girlfriend there’s so many things that I end up talking to each person about during our filming that I can never get it all in the

Planned but who knows if it’s anything like 2023 it may not go according to plan but I guess that’s the beauty of the journey and you know Michael posted this recently on our Tokyo zebra Instagram Channel and it kind of hit me again on how fast our son has grown up

It’s just so crazy to see him doing all the things that he’s doing I mean work for me is always going to be important especially since I love creating and building it’s just part of my nature and I think the same thing goes for Michel but I think for 2024 we’re even more
