Hi I’m Kula and I’m currently on my way to see the rehearsal of the musical Sound of Music and it’s performed by the group international players from San o I’m not actually going to the theater where it will be performed between the 11th and 14th of January we’ll just go

To a large Hall there there’s enough space for all the musicians and actors and background stuff hi my name is Annabelle Roberts I’m the director of The Sound of Music which will be playing in the in s uh from the 11th to the 15th of January of this year so the sound of

Music is a famous movie obviously starring Julie Andrews of the Rogers and Hammerstein musical but it actually opened on Broadway in 1959 the Broadway production is quite a bit different so for those of you who love the sound of music you should come and see uh the original version um it’s a amateur

Theater but we’ve been working on it for eight months we have uh 14 members in our Orchestra uh over almost hundred costumes uh which were gathered and made for the show so if you love musicals there’s not always a chance to see a ton of musicals in English in the France so

For those of you who don’t know the story it’s actually based on a true story it’s the story of the vont trap Family who was uh living in Austria in the time of the anas of the Third Reich in 1938 and uh it’s a love story but it’s

Also a heroic story about uh a family with uh seven children whose mother passed away the new nanny showed up and ended up becoming the new baroness Von trap and the way that she captured the captain’s heart was through music uh by bringing music music back into the home

And the seven children became the vont trap Family Singers and they actually escaped um the uh the officers of the Third Reich during a concert that they were giving and that’s how they managed to evade the country and uh across the border into Switzerland the musical has

Some of the most known songs of all time such as do RI my favorite things so we hope to see you there hi I’m Florentina Garcia I am playing the role of Maria which is a big role to play and I’m I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to play

This um we’ve been rehearsing since about June and I’ve been trying I’ve been practicing over and over again with my lines and I hope I get it right on the night um I’ve been I’ve been singing since I was about 10 um and I’ve had singing lessons and I’ve been in choirs

But I haven’t been on stage for a while so I’m super excited to to get on stage again my favorite costume has to be the curtain costume which is a dress an authentic Austrian dress made out of curtains and it’s it’s amazing hi I’m Maxim and I’m playing the

Captain Von trap in The Sound of Music and I’m Lori and I’m playing baroness Shader AKA Elsa yeah and we two are actually getting to know each other because I might want to marry her mhm but uh I have the feeling that the two of us

Aren’t exactly meant to be could it be my hatred of children oh no I just have seven children you couldn’t hate them all seven what’s so fearsome about that uh I have a feeling that someone else might get in the picture H someone else I really wonder who that might be H I

Guess we’ll see I’m the mother abis the mother abis is the head of the Abbey of nberg she is a very elderly woman who’s been there a very long time um and is quite wise in her ways uh she leads the other nuns at the same time that she

Tries to um help them and especially the ones that are coming to The Abbey for the first time so all of the novices um as well as the new postulants as they enter um she’s connected to Maria because she’s seen Maria grow up uh and knows that this is something she wants

To do to be a part of the Abbey and yet she also knows that this is not for Maria um so a part of her role is to really guide her along with the other nuns too I’m Dave I play Max in The Sound of Music which is very much a fun

Role kind of one of the smaller comedy roles uh the captain’s friend who is a little bit on the fence I think when it comes to his loyalties uh is he with the captain is he with the baroness it’s not very clear I’m not sure he knows himself

I think in general he is out to get what’s best for him but in the end I think he sees his loyalties lie with uh the family if you like the video please give it a thumbs up comment down below and get tickets to the play it’s from
