There are spotlights in the sky around Namba and Umeda. Today I walked from Namba to Umeda. Midosuji Illumination is held from November 3rd to December 31st. If you like street food and a festival-like atmosphere, you should go to Dotonbori. It’s a 1-minute walk from Namba Station.
This street is approximately 4km long and connects the two districts of Umeda and Namba. There are 5 subway stations between them. Shinsaibashi is lined with high-end shops. Honmachi and Yodoyabashi are office districts, but they are probably the best areas for enjoying the illuminations.
Umeda has the most developed city centre in Osaka. It has a completely different vibe to Namba.
