It’s called country walks in Malta uh this book was given to me for a review so the best way to review is to go and make the walk and uh this name was not new for me so I did some research and I noticed that I encountered this guy the author of the

Book The Professor because I know know as a professor who is an a outdoor Outdoorsman he does a lot of tracking and he’s also very good at climbing walls because when we met he was at with Babu climbing a wall uh today I U find one of his uh tracks because it’s good

Idea because I can make new tracks and today I’m going to do with I never heard about this place the book is in English and the best way to try it out is to go and make the road and here says from the chapel walk North

Along a short road to the edge of the cliff Line This is in fact the western edge of the Victoria lines so I’m going to put the book into the back today because of time constraints I plotted exactly his route into my software but whoever doesn’t want to do the

Feel a little better look how nice this Chapel is but let’s start our adventure so now from here I will be headed to the Victoria lines it’s something new moving on a book although lately I’ve been uh I use the V Victoria Lions book I do I use the one at the

Camino so uh it makes me feel nice and like this when you’re walking in these places you get lots of of information at the end when using a book it’s like when you use my Vlogs for a hike you have lots of information and with the book

It’s easily take it out and you can read uh some information about this place then now this area looks very nice and I never been here but I think I recognize that place there because it’s tied to a very set story I reached the Victoria lines the Victoria lines when I did the

Video I started from down there but now that uh we had some rain you can see some green uh grass finally this is the vict Tor lines here and here there is a very very sad story because uh I remember when I was very young this is not good as usual Sylvia

King uh was killed and burned here unfortunately in 1993 I know by fact because I had a Fiat to8 and police come to check because apparently when they kidnapped her it was a Fiat 128 what a that story about this woman in 1993 and here till now we’re going to

Follow a little bit the Victoria lines but the views are from here are amazing you can see AR from you can see golden Bay goo amazing every here and the one here as you can see this one this one here is in a b state but this

There I was coming from here and I have to continue on this SP and this country roads lots of De everywhere could be because lately it was very very windy and it did some damage look at this fure that well how cool it is the church there is where I started

Then I walked all the way way to Victoria lines between this country roads and now I am moving from here and I’m not sure I’m not 100% if I’m going to uh mjar area I will check so but look how beautiful it is here very quiet very relaxed at least we have some

Greens I pass some farm houses are and I am in this nice dirt road again and there because I had a small mistake before I’m going towards Baha church then there’s a chapel a very nice Chapel there I I’m not sure if some Martin as always I will check and keep you

Updated you can see that the chipara is there we are going very nice places in this area until now this track has been I I followed the book 100% because that’s how I plotted my uh my track today until now everything is spot on so if you don’t want the hle to plot

A track if you got the book it’s easy to follow step by step till now it was very good and even this area let me show you better it’s very nice little bit windy there’s the church there have to continue this way this is uh s Martin Chapel

Here and if you go down here we did a very very nice uh Vlog here it’s called the black cave all are L and you have to go from down here go down there and then you follow that route but that’s another uh Adventure but I will link it at the end

Now we’re going to bah main square and then continue as advised by the book now we have reached Baha main square and these small Like Houses they are very very good multi traditional uh restaurant they cook very good rabbit here we have Northern country we have uh

Tajin Bar and Restaurant New Life Bar St Martins we have lot of good stuff but now our way is to go that way leaving the Baha Village and we start going to some nice Countryside that is the area we came from and up there there I don’t know if you can see

It there is a massive uh Cave inside the cave there is uh tunnel most probably an AR ra shelter so go to watch that video it will be at the end of this Vlog in these Country Roads you can find some very funny funny notes like this the

Sign no haral don’t let the dog here in plain malti very very funny I think from down here we start to get some nice use as well I never been here now I started to go downhiller very beautiful countryside in this area very quiet as well temperature temperatures now are a

Little bit more better I remove the hood although it’s very thin but uh even there’s no moment here since we are going down a valley so I have to find a way where to continue this adventure although should have I’m following the book so I will not care I

Will just go where the book tells me to go now that I have gone all the way down here how I cannot go and the track is pointing to this side and it’s looking very interesting into the G let’s see it’s a new place that I never been

Before and just hope I don’t get wet but now there’s a water also here one can here and see we have running water let see see how nice it is here taking care not to sleep cuz there is some mud cuz it’s been raining lately it’s very nice

Yeah you see there we are passing now so now I have to take a little bit care not to get my weight my feet all and if I do then it will be part of the adventure but what I can do there pieces of can here so if I sleep at

Least I have something to hold oops don’t I have wet feet now Yan I think Sharon will be angry with your book she’ll not find buy your book because I got my shoes all mudy but being outside here it’s something expected but I try not to overdoing

It it’s only this part that was M like this but we are at the bottom of the valy Hops again but we have passed the part Jesus oh no look at my shoes but let’s continue it’s very beautiful this area here big big like now from here we start going up

Here but this area is the best part of the Walk till now we are leaving the valy bed and we are going up this very here full of caner how beautiful it is and we have a little bit of a steep hill and my lungs are not in the perfect

Condition but we’ll take it slow there is where we started going down on the valy bed we going some steep uphill and now we continue this side I’m a little bit out of breath oops my cap my cap my cap it’s not good and from here look like we have some

Views how beautiful beautiful this areas and we should continue on this side there there are some markers here but remind you I’m following outdoor books outdoor walks M outdoor walks here today look how nice it is here but even the views oh here amazing this part I have to

Get more healthier now I’m walking above the valley again in this ruler Road imagine you have a house like that what you can ask for more in your life how beautiful it is with all that area with it it’s amazing get this place and some people are even have some houses or rooms

Here as you can see my hood is coming up down up down up down because of the wind but it’s better that I take care I don’t want to get Hill again but it’s very nice work as usual I prefer them water and the cereal bar my and the

CH but since New Year I at a lot I have to make some sacrifice or else you will have to do it because you will hear me puffing every time so cheers I just stopped to consult the book again before we we it in with reading and uh those beautiful Cliffs we passing

Good I’m very pleased with it I will do more tracks so I be sure if I’m doing if I’m telling the right review but till now this walk it has been very very pleasant this is the part I did to Baha uh Village or Center up there where

There was the church in front of me I can see the chapel so all in all this uh this track has been very nice look at the Country Side how beautiful they are I’m just 200 M away from the chapel and here is one of the stones

Featured in the book and you can have some information about this lovely Stone here in the book as well because things like this it’s nice I just stopped here about uh 200 M away but there’s this marker to check and the book about it and here this says an old way Mark along

This week I received a book called Country Walks in Malta by Johann A. Briffa with just a note, review book pls. When I opened the book I was surprised by how good it was, full of interesting hikes in Malta and Gozo and information and maps. When I did some research about the author sounded familiar, he is an avid outdoors man whole likes trekking and rock climbing. And we did meet a month ago while trekking Weid Babu and he was climbing the Wied Babu Walls. Best was to review a book like this is to follow it to the letter and do the hike. I choose one I never did, so that I be guided solely by the book, have to say, the book is very good and will do more hikes from it. For this vlog, I choose Bahrija loop, with a visit to Wied Rini an 8km relax hike.
