The Nashville Parthenon – Inexplicable Re-Creation – Tennessee State Museum
Hey you all carpet bagger here coming to you live from the south more specifically today we’re in Nashville Tennessee although I would forgive you if you thought that we were in Athens Greece because behind me is the Parthenon now the the Parthenon a classical temple in ancient Greece built
To the goddess Athena but no need to travel all the way over the ocean all the way to Greece because here in Nashville Tennessee they have their very own version of the Parthenon but this parthan here this was not built in fifth century BC ancient Greece this was built here in
Nashville in uh 1897 for the uh Tennessee Centennial Exposition which just shows you you know the the world fair the world fairs the expositions these uh these have led to some of the greatest the greatest structures that we have here in the United States and we have that to thank
For the uh wonderful replica of the Parthenon just here at Centennial Park in Nashville now you go to the original Parthenon it’s all decrepit it’s all falling apart it’s it’s very old but uh this one’s all new and shiny I guess this uh this is what the parthan uh
Looked like when it was first buil they’ve kind of kept it up not let it uh decode to its Uh current Greek conditions yeah quite impressive here definely stands out here in the park you see some of the Nashville Skyline there in the background this classic statuary up there on top of the
Parthenon we can actually we can actually head inside so let’s go take a peek inside of the Parthenon okay apparently this is not the entrance to the parthona to walk all the way around all the way around the paradon to uh make our way inside there’s some big steps right here there we
Go all right we come around here to the other side of the Parthenon we actually kind of enter underneath through this entrance as we enter here into the parth see some exhibits on the uh building of the Parthenon here and uh some early merchandise with with the paron collectible plate the ashtray
There it actually points out that on the ashtray they misspell the word Nashville only have uh one L I guess so it’s Nash vile here’s a film that I have never seen it is uh Percy Jackson and the Olympians so there was a scene that took place here in the Parthenon so they
Actually had to battle the Hydra here in the Nashville Parthenon and we do have some movie props from uh Percy Jackson here it says this is a dart used by the character Annabeth to tranquilized maintenance staff inside the paradon and that is a pearl used in the film that’s very interesting
There is some pieces of the original building now it was built in 1897 but has gone many many Renovations over the years to keep it in its pristine condition now here is a replica of the Statue of Athena apparently the real Statue is in the uh upper part of
The paron we can check that out here momentarily so the parthan cel functions primarily as an art museum so let’s go uh let’s go check out some of the art oh look at that see these like hanging pieces here it’s like these slices of glass arranged like vases or cups very
Interesting this painting here is called Medusa’s crowning Glory kind of the Medusa theme kind of fits into that ancient Greek theme that we have here in the parth Theon it’s a little abstract this is a repurposing of an old gas station sign and uh it it slips my mind now what what
Uh what gas station chain uses the Pegasus as its logo leave a comment in the comment section there is s to let people know please do not touch the artwork yes you have to let people know do not touch the artwork I’m surprised they don’t have signs saying please do not lick the
Artwork and this is pretty interesting this is a showing us what the uh what the original Parthenon looked like we envision it as this white lifeless building and and the building outside is kind of colorless but originally the Greeks painted it with bright colors that we would not even think of of today
So here’s actually a replica of what the paron would have looked like in its Heyday with the bright brilliant colors you know what I say they need to go for historic accuracy and go paint the outside of this Parthona the uh the Lost artwork here I put that oh okay when you put the piece there it switches over to the colored version of the Parthenon so let’s see if we can find another uh another match here all right so we put that in there we can see a switch to
Color yeah let’s color up this Parthenon I’m sick of all these boring uh boring white colors all right [Applause] there we go the beautiful brightly colored Parthenon it just it really fascinates me the idea that all these this Greek statuary was all painted so brightly we just have it in our head that they just made these white colorless statues and lived that way when in fact it was brightly colored and
Again take they should they should they should make this building more accurate and and paint it with these bright colors and see here how they determined that the uh original artwork did have the colors to it here’s the metal metal scanner I guess can scan for the metals in the
Paint all right and some raking light oh yeah you can see like the where it lights up the little bits of paint in uh in the nooks and crannies and the hand right there that means that you can um you can touch the exhibit here are some peel from the uh
Restoration you just run your hand through these Parthenon pebl all right now I believe we’re going to head upstairs and see the statue of Athena and oh my goodness just look at that that is breathtaking it is absolute towering figure of Athena here and see we are in the main portion of the
Parthenon you can see these giant doors right here in the main hallway here and again the paron originally built as a temple to the goddess Athena There Let’s just look at some of the detail here on Athena you can see in her hands she has an angel an angel probably the size of a normal human being look at her her face and her cold Icy stare there and there’s like a creepy face growing out of her chest
Wow okay so this is a cutout of the Goddess Nike which I guess the shoe is named after this the goddess Nike in Athena’s hand says uh Nike may look small but she’s 6’4 so I can uh measure myself to see how tall I am compared to Nike here see Nike significantly
Significantly come up to about Nike’s lower eyeballs there okay so keep that in mind as you look up there and see the goddess Athena so I only come up to about Nike’s eyes so I would be about that tall standing in Athena’s hand there yeah over here on the side and get
A another view of Athena she’s definitely uh definitely impressive from from every angle you can see the giant Shield of Athena there that centerpiece that face in the center that’s Medusa you can see the snakes surrounding Medusa’s face there and here in the room behind Athena we have these
Casts that were used to create these sculptures on the outside of the Nashville Parthenon these apparently these casts are actually taken from the original Parthenon and then used to create the uh the sculptures outside you can see the heads mostly broken off there and they would have to use artistic uh Liberties
To to fill in the blanks so you can see this is what the Parthenon in Greece would look like with these snapped off heads and whatnot and then above you can see the realized uh Nashville version where they filled in the blanks and added the uh the full figure and full
Statues I still think they need to paint them bright blue and red here’s from the other side the west pimont of the Parthenon here are the uh the casts from the Greek version and then the uh the new Nashville version up there here in the parnon gift shop plenty of great Parthenon
Merch see the Parthenon t-shirts there got parthan shot glasses Parthenon coffee mugs even have these parthan tumblers I hear these are hear these are better than the Stanley paron snow globe there rose bud have a uh some fun little ancient Greek figures there there’s
Pan saden got god of the sea Zeus god of the sky and Aphrodite like she’s winking at us these Museum tubes these are always fun you buy these tubes museums are zoos are full of animals these ones are full of uh mythical creatures I see a Pegasus in there there’s a posidon
Some sort of mermaid as well these postcards of Athena I do love these you don’t see these very much anymore these odd-shaped postcards you can send that giant Athena postcard there or one shaped like the Parthenon that’s pretty cool you have the uh paron t-shirts here you can get either Zeus Athena or
Medusa there you got got the little Medusa plushy there and here in Centennial Park right outside the Parthenon these statues to the suffragettes people that uh were seeking to obtain votes for women it’s hard to believe how uh how recently it was that women were uh were not allowed to vote I
Don’t know whole thing seems very uh very sexist to me it is getting warm out here I it’s been so chilly this whole trip I’m getting ready to take take this jacket off because the the blistering sun over there is AB absolutely making me sweat but uh the
Good news good news is Jen got in last night she uh came out and met me here in Nashville unfortunately she wasn’t able to come out here today um she had just gotten some that same day yesterday she had gotten injections in her knees and uh her her knees are feeling just a
Little too sore this morning to uh to be able to come out here and walk around so she’s back at the hotel resting um We are continuing on with the choose my adventure road trip I got my medication so all think I think everything’s in line um of course there’s still time to
Vote you can vote to either send me to Memphis Tennessee birmingh Alabama or Atlanta Georgia tomorrow I will wake up I will check my phone and I will go to whatever city has uh has the highest vote and we will continue on from there but uh let’s see what else we can find
To do here in Nashville as I’ve mentioned before in uh in the winter when I travel in the winter one thing I do like to take in is a lot of museums in the summertime when the weather’s nice you go to amusement parks go to outside roadside attractions
When it’s cold I kind of like to the warmth of the inside of a museum and uh so far on this choose my adventure road trip we’ve seen quite a few museums so I thought we’d hit one more Museum today as we head over here to the Tennessee
State Museum here in Nashville I guess a museum encompassing the entire state of Tennessee all right so this museum is 100% free they said all the exhibits are upstairs so let’s uh see what lurks at the top of the staircase I guess we will start things out here by heading into the Tennessee Time Tunnel we go all the way back to the
Very beginning of Tennessee where the first tennesseans were stabbing mastadons with Spears see the uh Mastadon impaling Spears there and there are the Mastadon chunks the lower jaw and Tusk of a Mastadon over here we have the Hat of President Andrew Jackson president that uh was originally from Tennessee there is his
Hat that he wore to his inauguration and there is his hat box so if you look at this basically uh basically president Jackson was the hatbox ghost you see there they actually have a lock of Andrew Jackson’s hair and um sometimes I see the hair of different
Historical figures in museums and I said you know what we could use that hair and we could clone them but um I don’t know I don’t think uh I don’t think we could deal with having uh an Andrew Jackson here in uh 2024 but in all seriousness you know
What Andrew Jackson did to the Native Americans in this country is just just just awful just just beyond um Beyond awful exhibit on James K PK another president from uh Tennessee have his walking stick right there and I learned all about uh James K pulk from that uh
They might be Giant song There is no denying they have some amazing artifacts here at the Tennessee State Museum here’s Davey Crockett was a congressman and uh became an American Legend went out and died defending the Alamo in Texas and here we have some of Davey Crockett’s personal items
His Powder Horn a knife belonging to uh to uh Davey Crockett oh here’s his uh snuff box apparently he liked to do a little bit of snuff and rough times are upon us as we head into the Civil War now this over here is is what is known as a war log and apparently these were collector’s items after the Civil War because the war was so brutal there were so much shrapnel bullets flying through the air they would become embedded in trees and people would actually collect these War logs that
Were full of bullets and shrapnel you can see p pieces of shrapnel sticking out embedded in the log There and everyone’s favorite subject je Civil War medicine see some of the the uh high-tech equipment there basically it was all about cutting off limbs your limb your hand gets shot cut off your hand your leg gets shot cut up your leg it’s all about cutting off Limbs and
Hoping you don’t get a horrific infection see the uh the prosthetic limb there the wooden prosthetic Limb and then after the Civil War we have the uh introduction of one of the uh the worst villains group of villains in United States history the uh these pieces of crap the uh the KKK see dressing up in these clown like outfits there were a bunch of clowns but uh at
The same time they uh were horrific horrific uh horrific villains and horrific terrorists that absolutely uh absolutely spread evil and hatred across uh across this country real ominous like seeing something like this so saw Hitler’s walking stick yesterday now looking down the eye at one of these robes there’s just remind
You there’s there’s a lot of people out in this world that uh really uh really do not put out anything positive that really do try to uh burn this world down other uh Tennessee president Mr Andrew Johnson here we have some of his personal items has his pen his pocket
Watch and uh his Cane seems like they all uh they all carried around canes back then it says this ball and chain was worn by uh champ Ferguson who was a uh Confederate gorilla Soldier gorilla as in gorilla Warfare he wasn’t actually a uh he wasn’t actually an ape
But uh he was imprisoned by the union and it was uh sentenced for the murder of 53 people he wore this uh ball and chain while awaiting trial of course it wouldn’t be a proper Southern attraction if they didn’t have a moonshine still here’s a Prohibition era moonshine still from people in
Tennessee who continued to make whiskey when and it was uh federally outlawed now this room here is uh is very interesting to me they have uh statues here that were previously on display at the Tennessee state capital that have now been moved here inside uh the museum um I know in recent times
Recent years there’s been a lot of debate about statues of military figures statues of uh different people especially Confederate solders soldiers um and a lot of those statues have come down over the over the years people have chosen to uh remove the statues but I guess they have dedicated this space
Here in the museum to preserve some of these statues cuz even if they are complicated even if they are uh unpleasant and and and evoke unpleasant thoughts and memories to people you know they can still be preserved here in a museum setting see over there looking at us
Across the room Nathan Bedford Forest a very very complicated character he uh he was a uh was once the leader of the uh of the KKK and that probably one of the things he has most known for um one thing people don’t realize about him is that um he actually
Did renounce the clan and was an early uh supporter of uh of of finding racial Harmony between between whites and uh blacks I actually made a video about him once I I no longer have that on my channel because some of the research
That I did was not um was not the best I I I decided I no longer wanted to uh I I no longer could stand behind the video in the in the form it was um but yeah he he had somewhat of a Redemption Arc
Where he um he he made up for some of his past racist ways and and did a lot to uh to reconcile between the the whites and the former enslaved people now unfortunately you know while he was a Civil War General he did some very heinous things war is a very heinous act
In in of its core and um you know he did some things that uh to this day uh remain very questionable but um you know he did have a kind of an interesting Arc in his character and it’s very interesting how people remember him and how he’s reflected upon but um a very
Very complicated K character and I think it does a disservice to pretend that anyone in history has uh is either all good all bad or can be summed up in black and white you know people that do major things especially people that are involved in violent conflicts such as
War um have very complicated uh very complicated histories to them and and we need to understand that you know we don’t have to like it we don’t have to respect it but you know you should understand people do good things people do bad things and uh sometimes it’s
Really hard to weigh out uh What uh what is what is what is the core of that person over here there’s a little display on the Scopes trial also known as the Scopes Monkey Trial where a school teacher in Tennessee was arrested for teaching evolution in uh school and
The the trial is very fascinating a very uh very strange and unusual trial that overtook the small town see a painting there and then a uh this is a monkey mirror button says uh Columbia Auto Supply Company there’s a picture of a monkey it says did you come from this
Look at the other side and see and then it says there that on the other side there is uh there is a mirror here we have a juke box and the nnest tub Record Shop neon sign from Broadway I do believe that that was very recently that the nnest Hub Record Shop
Had been uh closed down we’ve made it to 1945 but there’s there’s still some problems we have the uh segregated water fountains there you can see the signs there separating uh whites and blacks the hotel only for colored people says they Ser only white people here they’re they serve colored but only for
Carry outs so yeah very um very racist see this fan here commemorating Martin Luther King Jr who of course was killed in Memphis Tennessee here is a uh a ceiling lights actually from the uh Lorraine Motel where uh Martin Luther King Jr was assassinated there is some teen culture
A lot of very sad and depressing things in this Museum but uh there’s Barbie there is Barbie remember we all saw the Barbie movie and uh and uh and the troll dos um you know they have those Troll movies they did make a movie out of the
Trolls too but uh I I like the original uh original look they have here the uh this uh this style of the troll doll they they they changed it up for the for the troll cartoon they need to bring back the uh more lumpy faed uh
Trolls see got Cabbage Patch St on there we were just at baby land the home of the Cabbage Patch dolls not too long ago look at that old Monopoly game there I do love I do love this old style of TV they need to they need to bring that
Back and you see that uh that cowboy style gun right next to the uh Space Age ray gun there you can see this little tiny Kias here talking about tourism and travel that’s kind of what I’m interested in it’s kind of a very small uh section on
Tourism and travel well let’s see what they have here of course beautiful Rock City technically in Georgia but it’s right on the line so we’ll uh we’ll let it stand it’s a souvenir Bank from Lookout Mountain and some holiday in playing cards here’s the technology section which of course exists only to make
People feel old while visiting a museum when you can come to the museum and visit your old cell phone and see that yes here in the Tennessee State Museum they have a Super Nintendo on display because I am ancient history and let’s not forget we are in
Nashville known as Music City a lot of great famous musicians from Tennessee about BB King there we have a guitar owned by Elvis Presley there there is a uh an outfit worn by Tina Turner and then who could forget of course Miss Dolly Parton there with her very uh very flashy
Outfit here’s a place where people can leave comments about uh the past present and future see here comments people left out history says I love Tennessee Jesus Jesus loves you and Jesus and then today it says for his glory Jesus God bless USA Jesus loves you I love Tennessee Tennessee is our
Home Jesus is Lord and then for the future it says Jesus is Lord peace and love so much love and love the Lord for God with all your heart and soul and strength Jesus is the Lord and as we prepare to leave the uh Museum there’s a little uh collection of
Odds and ends out here little different artifacts there’s a a toy plastic gun and uh Pentium processor chip and uh but this really caught my eye over here this box here has a has a etching of an alligator on it and it says WM Logan Beal saved by an alligator and there’s a
Very puzzling story here um so it talks about the the Sultana disaster this uh this boat exploded near Memphis this river boat and it says that uh private William lugan Beal escaped from the Sultana shipwreck he killed the sultana’s alligator mascot with a Bayonet and used its crate to float to
Safety so this man was in a boat explosion to escape he found an alligator living in a crate he had to fight an alligator in a burning exploded boat then killed the alligator stole the alligator’s crate turned into a boat what I I need to know
More about this and um yeah they need to make a movie about that I think or maybe they have is there a movie about uh the guy who has to fight an alligator to escape a shipwreck all right we made it back to the hotel room and look who’s joined me here in
Nashville it’s bucky bucky also J hi now Jen I’m Sor I’m sorry you couldn’t join me in Nashville today it’s okay I had knee injections literally like right before I came here so I was sore yeah so obviously I forgot my medication in um
In North Carolina it was just a big I I don’t even know how I forgot it I was I was really frustrated at myself I left it I think I just left it on the counter right I feel like you think you have to be perfect like he does stuff like this
I’m like it’s okay I’ll bring it and at first when I was in Louisville we’re like Jen was like going to rush out there and try to get it to me but then when it looked like I was going to be in Nashville I’m like that’s a little bit
Closer maybe you can um wait cuz she had some appointments that uh yeah I moved some stuff around but I kep around I didn’t want her to have to cancel any of her medical appointments so you went your knee appointment today and were you supposed to get knee injections no I
Thought it was just going to be like a hey nice to meet you here’s the plan meet your new knee doctor yeah and then she’s like oh so do you want your injections today I’m like I guess so did you tell her that you were like getting
Ready to hop in a car drive 4 hours no but then right after she gave him to me she’s like okay so like stay um like be chill for like 48 Hours take it easy and I’m like oh you know what I’m going to do I’m going to
Go drive four hours that’s going to be a good plan so by the time I got here I was like my knees are her knees are worn out she want to go walk around today they told me they didn’t know how I was walking cuz my knees are so
Bad I don’t know if we want to get into the gr details but Jen Jen needs new knees so if you have some extra knees at home please does it work like that you just have them in a box PO Box 932 Wayville North Carolina well I got gel
Injections well like today I got the c or yesterday I got the cortisone injections but um they’ve started giving me gel injections and those are like immaculately better yeah this was like uh you only been getting the gel injection for like a year or so yeah I
Know it’s not been that long it’s been like a it’s been like a life a life changer like um like when we went to Disney first time first time we went to Disney um Jen didn’t make it off of did not make it off of Main
Street oh yeah I we did a video which was her I I call it her first time at Disney because the first time she got to Disney you know we rode the tram the monal got there she walked down to probably just to like Casey’s like just
The very end of Main Street and she just couldn’t go anymore her KN I had like her KN were shot and she just couldn’t she just couldn’t do it anymore so she ended up having to go back to the hotel room um resting for a few days and then
A couple days later we ended up going to Disney and having a good time even though she was in a lot of pain yeah that time it was still fun though but um we still did like all the dark rides and stuff yeah oh we didn’t do all the dark
Rides but we well yeah a lot of them we had we had fun that was for the Mickey party so it was like more condensed yeah it was the it was the Christmas party right yeah yeah it was the it was the Mickey’s Christmas Party
So we got to uh got to meet Pooh I think that was the highlight I loved meeting Pooh and eore and we had we had we we had a lot of fun but then this year at Silver Dollar City like I was there all day with yeah went to Silver Silver
Dollar City is the train is much rougher than Disney it was so Hy down the big the big do you go did you up the big hill I no no the that’s still no that Sil doll City like in the center has like this this like someone called it
Cardiac Hill yeah that’s scary but we went down one the smaller Hills Silver Dollar City is a very hilly very very windy Park but you pry pretty good and you yeah it lasted the whole day and then did other stuff like the next few days after need needs have been doing a
Lot better yeah so I guess once the gel injection stopped working for me then I have to get the KNE replac and for those for those young people out there this is what you have to look forward to you have you have to worry about your knees
Getting new knees you have to be like me and uh and have your need a giant bag of medication to you across the country and a monkey oh yeah did this was a did you see it I I I I I I was trying to keep it
A secret but I did well I watched your video you watched I didn’t know you watch the video I always you know I watch your videos especially when you’re gone on like a trip like this I usually watch every day I’ve really been into your back catalog you know that like we’ve
Watched older videos yeah what’s your favorite like older video that you watch would put a recommendation out there for um we just watched that wax figure one that took you 4 hours oh the Bible Bible walk Museum in Mansfield Ohio which I still czy I still highly recommend that to anyone it’s a
4-Hour biblical walk through wax one of the only places there’s a lot I wouldn’t say a lot but there you know you do see these biblical wax museums very few take you all the way through the Old Testament there what I would have chosen to there is some uh seriously
Interesting things in the Old Testament and need to be uh emblazoned in wax but my favorite one of your old videos is baby L General and then you just took me got to go see it uh in person yeah it’s an incredible place I never thought in
My lifetime I’d see a um cabbage get an epidural so that’s that’s the only place is there another place that a cabbage gets an epidural I don’t think so unless there’s like a weird grocery store somewhere something I’ll keep you posted on that oh okay I feel like needs
To be in the there we go but I’m glad you know I’m glad we got you know it was going to be like a a while since I was going to be able to see you after I left so it’s it’s good to be able to uh to
See you again before uh for too long but I think it’s silly like even when you were talking about Louisville I was like that was 5 hours I’m like oh well 5 hours nothing now like I drive like 12h hour trips now so 5 hours I’m like
That’s fine yeah yeah 5 hours okay maybe not after the injections that was not a good decision but that didn’t that didn’t pan out I’m sorry you didn’t get to see Nashville but we’ll be we’ll be went to Nashville when we went to the ice yeah we were actually just did
Nashville not too far ago we went to the Polar Express to The Polar Express and you took me down to Broadway then yeah a little drive driving tour of of the city yeah so I’m going to have to go there properly at some time is it like
Uh what’s the street called in New Orleans Bourbon Street oh yeah I get a all confused there’s like bourbon Beal Broadway it’s all bees and I them all Broadway Duval Street and Key West oh Key West is like at the top of my list we’ll go to Key West at some point I
Love Key West I need to visit Robert Robert the Doll yeah everyone needs it as a Robert yeah and the chickens oh yeah the wild wild chickens and then the hyway cats yeah it’s a lot of fun we’ll go we I’ll take you to Key West at some
Point and I need to go to Memphis sometime to go to be Street you go to be Street yeah are so are all those streets like as crazy as Bourbon Street or is bourbon like bourbon may be the craziest Street yeah just from like craziest
Street in town yeah cuz when we were on Bourbon like it was crazy pants but like seeing Broadway it wasn’t didn’t seem quite as crazy oh and then there was that street in uh Fort Worth that strip oh the Stockyards yeah that was fun too I like
That still not Bourbon Street level but yeah bourbon is New Orleans New Orleans okay I get them all confused they need to have different letters yeah but but um tomorrow I’m going to be leaving uh leaving Nashville the vote is either Memphis Birmingham oh another b or
Atlanta what are you voting for what is it Memphis Memphis Birmingham or Atlanta I’ve never been to Alabama so I guess I would vote for that even though I’m not going Bingham Alabama so maybe you shouldn’t go there so you have an excuse to go to Alabama with me I also just
Said I really want to go to Memphis so I guess I’d pick Memphis or Birmingham okay well you guys can vote for whatever you’d like um tomorrow morning I’m going to get up I’m going to check my phone whichever one’s winning I will head that
Way sadly with Jen will depart I know I was debating on going to the next town with you but I realized I need to rest need to rest your your poor weary knees yes yeah there’s a big bruise and stuff it’s this is nothing new it happens
Every time I just don’t know why I was like over why like going I do appreciate you getting in there braving braving your knees to uh to bring me my medication yeah I I almost had to turn around I I seriously consider turning around that first night and coming back
Home and doing a redo but um I’m glad I’m glad I was able to press forward and I’m glad uh I got someone who who’s got my back that can that can help me along the way what city do you think Bucky would choose um I don’t know maybe he
Would choose Memphis so he could try to create a dam to block the Mississippi River oh no that’s true that’s quite Mississippi’s wide we just saw that I just saw that we you’ve seen the Mississippi probably a trillion times but I just finally saw it for the first
Time yeah and I was excited I appreciate I appreciate you guys watching appreciate you guys following along with the choose my adventure road trip I will see you guys tomorrow and until next time this one’s in the Bucky in the bag

I can relate jen. My cort shot only lasted 3 days then the pain came back. Looking into gel now!
Carpetbagger this place is amazing. Thanks for taking us there.
Thank you for sharing this great video! It made me so happy to hear you say โrosebudโ when you showed us the little Parthenon snow globe. Also, I hope Jenโs knees feel better soon.
Jen saves the trip! ๐ Safe travels to both of you.
That statue of Athena reminds me of the statue of Hera in JASON AND THE ARGONAUTS.
Yay!!! JENN! โค..Get a red wagon and take her with you to Memphis! She and Bucee can ride around:)

Learn your US history Andrew Jackson was a national hero
In my town! Welcome to Nash-Vegas Jacob.
Just FYI, Disney rents mobility scooters. Kind of pricey but absolutely worth every penny.
Mobil gas station, use the Pegasus
So glad you went here. The one time I went to Nashville, we walked around the building but that was all the time we had. I so wanted to go inside. Thank you
Great video! Hey have you been to all the Worlds fair locations in the US? Itโs been nice seeing them the past couple of days.
The Tennessee State Museum on the Bicentennial Capital Mall opened in October of 2018 and was a major upgrade from our previous version. As for the Parthenon… one of Nashvilles nicknames is The Athens of the South. The nickname was said to be due to the number of institutions of higher learning in the city. At 1:57 you can see the tower on the Vanderbilt University campus, nearby are Belmont University, Lipscomb University, Tennessee State University and HBCU Fisk University (check out the Fisk Jubilee Singers). Hope you enjoyed your visit.
I'm 60 with arthritis in every joint . I love to see someone like Jen living her life to the fullest as she can, with a partner who is so loving and supportive. I love seeing her with Jacob enjoying fun things. I know it's hard, but please keep showing up. Take care of yourself, but don't give up. It gives all of us out there so much happiness to see you. overcoming overcoming

Watched you for years, loved all of it, helped me through sh*t, but this is hard to watch. Stay you.
5:27 Mobil gas station uses the Pegasus. Exxon uses a tiger, Mobil uses a Pegasus, although Exxon Mobil merged.
I love the Parthenon in Nashville! I used to work across the street from it, so I would go have lunch over at Centennial Park quite a bit. It is really beautiful when everything is blooming! Hope Jen is feeling better soon and thanks for a great vlog!
It is important to remember that the soldiers on both sides of the Civil War were willing to fight and die to protect their way of life and their homeland. Removing the statues of war leaders because they fought on "the wrong side" is disrespectful. Yes, many of you reading this will say that they are not worthy of respect and some of you may be willing to desecrate the Lincoln Memorial or remove any positive references to the Founding Fathers. Both people and issues are complex- not good or evil.
Hi! You guys are literally 15 miles from my home!!! Glad you enjoyed Nash Vegas. Maybe one of these days I'll be downtown and say hello ๐ You always make my day!!
Mobil oil used the Pegasus in their sign.
Jacob I throughly loved this, I went back in September last year and the heat got to me, so I sadly had to go back to the hotel soon after getting our ticket. So happy to have my #1 YouTuber give me the tour! I have to go back to see everything, thanks Jacob ๐
Y'all two are so cute it's sickening. ๐
The red pegasus was used on the logo for Mobil gas stations.
"Copyright law prohibits photography of this case"
Records anyway ๐
What a hassle with the medications. I donโt think itโs illegal to ship prescriptions that are prescribed to you. Glad you two got to hang out though. And great video!!!
Hey jen itโs your lucky day. I have about 30 knees in a box in the attic.lol๐ seriously though take care
Mobil used pegasus and then there's Pegasus spyware
Don't forget the key lime pie, and the romantic sunset at Mallory Square in Key West. Love you both, and may God bless you….. you old F's. lol . Dr. doesn't want to give me another cortisone shot due to my bone issues. I'm interested in this "gel" you speak of. Tired of the pain and would like to learn more.
I can totally understand and empathize about Jen's knees. I've had both miniscus in both knees repaired/reattached since September. Please give the injections time to work. I get corticosteroid injections, lidocaine injections and take Tylenol 3 with codeine to deal with mine. God bless you both and I always look forward to the awesome videos and positive vibes ๐
Parthenon is so impressive, great merchandise too, i would have gone T shirt crazy. Great work Jacob. Well done Jen saving our Carpetbagger
The Sultana was no joke. Hundreds of captured Union Soldiers were finally on their way home, and the Captain of the Steamboat had overloaded it with Soldiers to maximize his payout and hadn't allowed proper maintenance on her boilers. So, when she exploded, hundreds of already sick and tired men who were hoping to get home after years of captivity in horrible conditions were killed at the finish line because of one mans greed.
Jacob and Jenn are the best partners for each otherโค๏ธSo lovely:)
Actually quite impressed with The Parthenon in Nashville?? The statue of Athena sent chills down my spine.
Wish I had known this was there when I visited Tennessee however, I'm opting to see the real one. The beauty of it is that it is still standing after all these years and whatever state that it's standing in. Kind of reminds me of Me as I age L O L.
Thanks for sharing this. If I ever get back to Tennessee I'll make sure to stop by and check this out.
Jenn saved your life !!! Yaaaay Jenn !!! , glad you got your meds Jacob !!!!
A movie about the Sultana would be awesome!!
