THE EDGE OF IRELAND – Mizen Head, Crookhaven, Barley Cove & Sheeps Head – Wild Atlantic Way, Ireland

Good morning from Southern irand here we are at Eagle Point camping and it’s our first full day here and what a beautiful morning we’ve open up to we’re going to explore some of the uh wild Atlantic coast today so I’ll just show you that view

Watch this video and we’ll see you later On we’re driven along the coast and we’re uh up at mizen head so we’re going to have got that bit of work going off actually a beautiful day again so it cost you have €750 to uh to walk down to bridge in that so that’s the signal station over

There you can walk all way down there as well might do that later one never knows so there’s mizen head and the bridge SE it in the distance he certainly got some good Coastal views so there’s the bridge right we’ll have a walk down soon as I paid €750 for

It good paths down anyway at least so there we have M head Bridge go walk across it it’s not as a as it looks so be are looking down from the ridge they now looking out to see certainly been some rockfall over there good view of the bridge from this side

Certainly a good view from down there to bridge so this is inside the engine room not a lot to say really old Antiquated equipment here this was a Light Keeper quarters 1909 1993 and then a visitor center original Visitor Center 1993 to 2001 under the sea that’s fastet Lighthouse a selection of old

Photographs having his tea his breakfast sorry been asked to see a whale though out there W it different types of whales there dolphins so this would have been a bedroom he’s having his news good view out to see though must admit mind you will be cuz you’re on misad slly a rugged ghost

Line bet it’s a wild place when there’s a storm See’s really calm today B exercise this is the last view point I’m looking along uh Coastline we’ll have a look on there in a minute well already finished doing the selfish we back h right we’ll climb all the way back

Up so it’s not a bad walk up cuz gentle slopes anyway so that’s mizen head ticked off the list and mizen Bridge right we’ll move on now somewhere else not sure where we’re going to go now we’ll just follow Co around see where it ends up that’s little look out of breath

Now right we stopped off on a little place called crook Haven not a lot here actually so that’s see how we been we’ve been around there done a circle to the background and we’re here now so we’ll go back that way workers way up to durus around to sheep’s head and then

Back to Bantry to say it’s a dead end it’s a very busy Pub of little Cove so we’re just pointing car in any direction and where we end up we end up whether it’s a dead end a narrow road or wherever it is it’s a little little place this must admit

For a bit of lunch hours Seafood Show view from window Seafood still sumon I can do yet NY Food CH in there could B again this but uh I we driving so I can’t lime and Soder instead right we’ll move on and find somewhere else now we’ve had some refreshment

What a lovely little place good out fishing but looks of it there’s too many stunning views go that for a beach down there that’s what you expect to see into it beautiful views like that we walk down to the beach so it’s barley CO Beach this that’s how you get down to Peach

Then bit wi bath here so it’s not that beach we’ve seen it’s a different one it’s full of nice Beach though beautiful little Co the beautiful little Cove it’s certainly a secluded little go this bit is it the F she swimming costume right we’re taking a drive up sheep

Heads pass or drive I should say we’re very high up here actually where we are sheep’s head View was determined to do some of this wild Atlantic way while we’re in this area so dogs are not allowed past this point even on the lead yeah so we’re up at sheep’s

Head it’s a good view from up here though it’s still 2 km walk to Lighthouse so bit Breezy up here so it must be that way to walk down to the lighthouse to guess it’s 2 km anyway so as far as we can come on this Peninsula unless I walk down to

Lighthouse Lighthouse is Lighthouse it’s going later on it day now so we got a good drive back yet and I’ve only got sandals on so I don’t think I’m going to walk I’ll just have my other view well start working his way back down again walk way over there yet
