8 Travel Tech Essentials for One Bag Travel
Wouldn’t it be nice if you can charge all your Tech in one place with one cable yeah it would and we’re going to be showing you that and more in this video from trackers that fit in your wallet to the coolest speaker we’ve ever seen we’re back with some more awesome
Travel Tech and we’re giving away some awesome Tom bin gear so check that out at the link below the Halo lock 3in1 charging set is a super compact way to power up my iPhone airpods and Apple watch all at the same time the super strong magnets attached to any mag safe
Phone or case all but the first generation of airpods and any Apple watch so you can leave extra cords behind when you travel to use it flip the Halo lock open like a compact to your desired angle and attach your phone to the outside behind the stand is a
Place to set your airpods if you have the wireless charging case then a portable Apple watch charger Clicks in after that we like that it’s removable because then we can charge from our computer if we don’t want to bring the entire Halo lack along however because
It’s not attached at all times it could be easier to leave behind if you don’t think about it because now you have to keep track of two separate items the set comes with everything you need to power up including the portable Apple watch charger a 20 W wall charger a 5ft USBC
Cord and a carrying case to sew everything in your travel day pack that’s pretty big though so I just stick it in my tech pouch instead plus you can charge your phone in portrait or landscape mode which means you can watch your favorite content on the plane and
Leave a dedicated stand behind while it’s great for a trip it’s such a nice setup that I like to use it at home on my desk too because it just reduces the amount of cords that I have hanging around I just set up my phone next to me
So I can always see my notifications come through can charge my airpods between meetings and then sometimes I’m not moving around that much so I’ll just top up the battery on my Apple watch and while most of us prefer using Wireless over corded headphones not every plain Entertainment System supports Bluetooth
Luckily this little dongle makes it so that you don’t have to be tied to your seat this happened to me on a few really long international flights recently I had corded headphones and I was in the aisle seat so anytime anybody in my row wanted to get up to use the restroom I
Had to get up find somewhere to put my headphones and the the middle of a movie or something and then it was just awkward trying to shuffle everything around really quickly it plugs into the headphone jack so you can watch an inflight movie with your preferred Bluetooth headphones it’s about 4 in
Long so it takes up next to no space in your Tech kit and pairing your wireless earbuds is quick and easy the prolux also comes with this international travel adapter which makes it more compatible with planes worldwide you only need to pack one of these for your
Next trip even if you’re traveling with a friend because two people can connect at the same time with up to 20 hours of battery life you can make it through most of the longest Long Haul flights don’t forget to pack it away when you land though since it also works in car
Radio Jacks you can stream your road trip playlist once you arrive just make sure you pick up the right version 12 South has a few different kinds and not all of them have the same premium features as this airfly Pro Deluxe that came in handy on my flight to the
Dominican Republic as did my subscription to our partner Rosetta Stone I used the language learning app to brush up on my Spanish before my trip I took two years of language classes in high school but that was a while ago and talking with locals is always always much different Rosetta Stone’s immersion
Method matches audio from native speakers to visuals and uses stories and real life conversations to help you learn more like you did your first language plus the voice recognition tool gives me feedback on my pronunciation so I can improve my accent lessons are as short as 10 minutes and the bite-size
Repetition helps me learn faster I personally struggle with memorization so working on a language daily helps me slowly absorb it I love Rosetta Stone’s lifetime subscription because I can brush up whenever I want to without paying a renewal fee and I can go the pace I want plus I get access to all
Languages so I can learn some phrases in Japanese before a trip to Tokyo and they use real life scenarios that help me get conversation ready get 60% off a lifetime subscription with our Link in the description below instead of $399 you’ll pay just $149 to learn any
Language anytime now back to the gear while your laptop has a built-in trackpad sometimes your setup requires a mouse when I’m scheduling projects for pack Hecker or researching the best new travel gear while working remotely I’m a lot more efficient if I bring one along of course if you already have one at
Home you probably don’t want to spend a ton of money on a new travel version that’s why we like the Logitech Pebble m350 it’s slightly smaller than Apple’s Magic Mouse and much cheaper too and it comes in a variety of colors so it gets points for flare it’s two analog
Clickers and Center spinning wheel for scrolling are easy to use and connecting is simple with Bluetooth or USB although it’s usba so if you have a Macbook you’ll probably want to skip that option since you’ll need a separate dongle it runs on one AA battery which is ail
Aable pretty much anywhere in the world and it’s easy to pop in a new one when it runs out that’s much nicer than some rechargeable ones which are unusable when they’re plugged in we’re looking at you Apple we haven’t had any issues with durability but it does feel cheaper than
Other mice we’ve used so you’re definitely sacrificing a premium fuel for reduced weight and cost on the plus side replacing it won’t break the bank if you accidentally leave it behind if you use an air tag to track your gear you know that a round shape isn’t always
The easiest thing to pack that’s why we’re excited about rolling Square’s air card it slips easily into your wallet and still connects to Apple’s fine my network so you have just as many devices working hard to locate your gear rolling Square says that its timee is 20% louder
Than Apple’s but at the very least we find the video game like sound a lot easier to hear like an air tag rolling Square will send you alerts when you leave your gear behind the air card also includes a QR code which serves two purposes first it’ll send a message with your contact
Information via rolling Square share it system to anyone who finds it and scans the code it’s also Al a digital business card letting new friends get your number and social handles by tapping it with their phone however we find this functionality to be a little bit clunky
And iOS 17 now integrates this feature directly into your iPhone so it’s a little bit redundant now but since it combines the location features of an air tag with the contact info of a luggage tag in a more packable design we think this is a great piece of tech to
Reconnect you with your gear when I’m traveling with my friends we always check in before we leave to make sure one of us packed to speaker a lot of the times one of us forgets and by that I mean me this one is so tiny that I have no problem adding it to
My bag last minute even if I’m low on Space the Moen wild go Bluetooth speaker weighs just 6.5 o and is only 3 in tall so it fits in nearly any travel backpack day pack or sling it’s great to have a way to play music when you don’t have to
Worry about disturbing anyone outside of your group like if you’re staying in a secluded Airbnb since it’s water resistant it can handle accidental splashes if you’re hanging out by the pool and you can get up to 7 hours of listening time on one charge while it
Looks like a toy it feels really durable and we haven’t had any issues with it throughout our testing the analog controls are easier to use than tiny buttons and while the sound gets a little muddy at higher volumes we don’t expect theater quality on something this
Small we do wish it came with its own lanyard so it’s easier to carry but you can buy one separately on their site or use a caraban or aair cord from home to connect it to your bag you won’t have to find a spot in your laptop bag for your
SSD when you stick this pouch to your computer our Packer Pro member Andre loves this because it fits nearly any SSD like a glove I’ve run out of space on my computer at the most inconvenient time so I always like having an SSD on hand but it’s just another thing to keep
Track of with this pouch stuck to the back of my MacBook I can have it with me at all times in a perfect location to connect when I need it it weighs less than an ounce and sticks with adhesive from 3M they’re the same people who make
Command strips and just like those you can reattach it to another computer if you have to upgrade your device since there are two elasticy pockets on the pouch you can carry a cord a travel Mouse headphones or other small piece of tech you want to grab at a moment’s
Notice along with your SSD if you’ve seen our other videos you might recognize this next product but it’s been so helpful that we wanted to mention it again it’s a travel essential if you don’t want to pack a different cord for every device the minova USBC to lightning adapter allows you to charge
Your Apple devices using a USBC cable instead of bringing a separate lightning cable at just an inch it’s a fraction of the size of even the smallest power cables so you can bring just one USBC cord to power your iPhone 14 iPad Air and Beats earbuds of course that means
That you’ll have to make sure they don’t all run out of power at the same time since you only have one of these dongles to charge all of them or you can bring multiple kind of up to you because it’s so tiny and easy to lose we tuck it in a
Zippered pocket in a tech kit or something like the Tom bin ghost wheel pouch with other dongles like that 12 South airfly Pro we mentioned earlier and Tom actually used his so often when he was traveling in Thailand that he just left it attach to the end of his
USBC cable it also comes with a silicone clip for your keychain or a leash that connect it to your cable if you prefer keeping track of it that way this flexible piece of silicone looks simple but it can do quite a lot at its heart the iflex is an adjustable phone stand
For your iPhone or tablet but with its antibacterial and heat resistant properties it works for more than just Tech bend it in half with a lip on one side to hold your phone for a simple way to watch content on the plane either sitting on the tray or with the back
Tucked inside the lock table if you put a lip at both ends you can put your phone on one side and a tablet your sunglasses or whatever else you’d like to keep together on the the other I also think it’s helpful when you’re shopping you can bend it around a cart handle so
That you can see your list while you’re walking through the market and it’s heat resistant up to 482 de F so you can rest your curling iron or straightener on it if you’re getting ready in the hotel bathroom since it lays completely flat when you’re not using it it’s pretty
Easy to bring basically anywhere however we’ve noticed that the silicone seems to pick up a lot of lint and dust so you may want to keep it in a pouch while you’re not using it to keep it from getting covered in fuzzies so there’s some great new travel Tech to add to
Your kit let us know what other gear we should check out and we’ll see you in the next one

Where's Tom
Every time I see that flatlay, I click
Love the channel, but I do tire of the bias when it comes to tech reviews. You do understand that most people do not use Apple products? Could you also provide Android equivalents? Thanks!
I’m kind of sad that this came out after my return period for the travel charger I’d brought for Christmas has passed because I like the one in the video a lot better.
I'm significantly cutting down for my next trip. From a 16" MacBook Pro with Incase shell, 140W AC adapter, MagSafe cable (total 3,010g) to 13" MacBook Air, no shell, 70W AC adapter, MagSafe cable (total 1,500g). Everything else – iPhone, AirPods Pro, Watch – will charge by connecting to the Mac. So, only one AC adapter. The Mac also acts as a battery pack – not pocketable, but it can charge my iPhone in a pinch. No mouse/trackpad, stand, keyboard.
All I use is apple products. I am totally blind and it is easier for me so I was wondering if you could send me a link for that three-way charger for the phone the Apple Watch and the AirPods ❤️☺️
Why is every tech or chargers a apple product or made for apple products.
I will say many over ear/on ear blue tooth headphone do come with an audio cable which can be very useful for flights or big pcs without build in Bluetooth. My new noise cancelling Sony WH-1000XM4 came with an audio cable and the international adapter. I know over ear headphones are larger to travel with but if you already going to bring them then making sure you have one more cable could solve alot of annoyance.
What's the tech bag at 02:15 please? Looks pretty good
Where's the giveaway link?
The dongle could be great if you have multiple apple devices but only want to take one dedicated apple cable and a USBc for other items. I have the mini and 10ft incharge multi use cable but length of the plugs, particularly with the full adapter attached, and the stiffness of the ribbon cable of the longer one can make it take up more when travel then a normal cable. (I know I probably should have got the 4ft one but that wouldnt help how big the plugs are)
I imagine better screen protectors are in the future? 😆
Great video. Keep them coming.
Is the Apple Watch charger, a fast charger
LOVE the flex phone stand!!!
I've been wondering about that Muzen speaker since I've seen it on my IG ads for a while. I thought it was pretty gimmicky with the look, but I might give it a try now.
Has anyone had the experience of the rolling Square charging cord NOT staying in the iPhone? The connection is weak and if u don’t pay attention to you won’t get a full charge.
I miss your theme music
A video on best travel products for apple ecosystem would be a fine video to make – But please don't assume all your audience is apple only like you apparently are.
Would love to see options for galaxy watch, phone, buds, etc.
What is the name of the pouch in 2:14?
Could you start recommending phone gear that isn't specific to Apple?
That screenprotector 😮
Link to Dominican trip packing list?
Loved this video’s suggestions 👍
Loooove your videos! Could you review the north face fusebox mini? The 19Litre Backpack.
eh, wireless charging is slower and less efficient than cable charging
