Disneyland Paris Review 2024

Disneyland Paris or as it was formerly known Euro Disney is Disney’s European Theme Park Resort located about 40 minutes away from the city of Paris in France just quickly before we get into the review if you could leave a like And subscribe to the channel it would really

Help us out now let’s get into it the resort opened in 1992 with one theme park six hotels and the shopping and restaurant District Disney Village it’s the brainchild of former Disney CEO Michael ice in this review we’ll be focusing on the original Park a main gate of the resort

Known as Disneyland Park Disneyland park is arguably the most beautiful of all the Disney Castle or magic kingdom style Parts you enter the park a bit differently here traveling underneath the festar Disneyland Hotel where the turnstyles are located before exiting into the main entrance Plaza putting you right in front of the Disneyland

Railroad Station the design up on the station is usually different depending on what time of year or what season is currently being celebrated after passing under the railroad you are greeted with Town Square which serves as the entrance to Main Street USA this Main Street is laid

Out in the same design and style as other versions of the Main Street found at other Disney Resorts except with one major difference the arcades Discovery arcade and Liberty arcade run parallel with Main Street on both sides and are covered over offering a break from the sometimes rainy Paris weather taking you

From the bottom of Main Street all the way to the central Hub they were designed by imagineers to be cool in the summer and warm in the winter to help provide rest bite to guests whatever the weather and both have rear access to all the shops and eating locations along

Main Street once you get to the top of Main Street you will find yourself in the hub and just like with other Castle parks in the Disney lineup this is how you access the parks lands and for the most part these lands are the same as

Other Parks too so moving from left to right we have Frontier land Adventure Land fantasy land and when we go furest right is where we see our first major diversion from the other pars where usually we will find tomorrow land here at Disneyland Paris we find Discovery Land This is essentially tomorrow land

But feed more to a steampunk Motif that was inspired by the likes of Jews burn from Casey’s Corner hot dogs to the plaza Gardens Buffet many food options are available here on Main Street and at the cable car bakery or gives and girl ice cream parlor you can get lighter

Options too starting in the main Hub of the park we find Sleeping Beauty Castle which acts as the gateway to Fantasy Land This Castle has multiple floors that can be accessed by guests and even has a full-size animatronic dragon in the basement the first land though to

Talk about is Frontier land here we’re going to find two main rides Phantom Manor and the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Phantom Manor is Disneyland paris’s Haunted Manion but it is unique in its story placing it firmly in the mythology of thund Mesa which is a town name with this version of frontierland a

Lot of the classics like Madame Leota the singing statues and the Grand Ballroom can be found here but the story is fundamentally changed to fit the land and follows the daughter of Henry Ravenswood as her husband’s all dying mysterious circumstances leaving her alone and haunted by the menacing

Phantom this is one for all the family as it’s a great mix of Music humor mild sket and a slow moving Omni mover ride system paris’s version of big funder mountain is unique as the bulk of the ride is set out on an island in the middle of the lake you start this

Version of the wildest ride in the wilderness by entering a tunnel to take you out to the island and after a runaway adventure of twists and turns it ends with a finale that is rather frilling as you drop back underground to return to the mainland seemingly picking

Up a lot of speed as you do lines for this one can get very long even on quieter Park days personally I’ve been able to ride the Walt Disney World version of big Funda and the Paris version in my lifetime and in my opinion the European version is far superior to

Its Floridian counterpart finally we have the Molly Brown riverbat and I don’t really class this as a ride but this old western style paddle steamer takes you on a slow cruise around Frontier land and the island which houses the bulk of Big Thunder taking you past geers along the way if you look

Closely you may be able to spot the Molly Brown sister ship the Mark Twain docked where it has remained for several years awaiting restoration to re-enter service on the waterways of Frontier Land There are a few food options to be found here first we have Silver Spurs Steakhouse a more moderately priced

Option offering steaks grilled fish cocktails and more Last Chance Cafe where you can get wings Chicken Chunks vegan chili and fried the lucky nugget Saloon offers tea time burgers and sometimes a live performance or two whilst you eat and finally we have Woody’s Cowboy cookout which is my

Personal favorite par food on the resort serving Burgers ribs half chickens and a mixed meat platter if you want it moving now into Adventure la which here in Disneyland Paris is very large with not much to do in the way of rides there are plenty of walk through areas to be found

Here from caves Adventure AIS Skull Rock and the Swiss Family Robertson Treehouse but only two actual R the highspeed looping roller coaster Indiana Jones in the temple of peril and the Disneyland Paris version of the swash cling Adventure Pirates of the Caribbean Indiana Jones is Loosely based

On the runaway Minecart scene in the second movie Indiana Jones in the Temple of Doom and is essentially a modified wild mouse with pretty bad profiling a vertical Loop and a helix the ride is pretty uncomfortable but at least the temple is impressively built and stands

Out nicely is a little fun fact in the early 2000s I was able to ride this attraction backward as for several years the park switched the train to reverse in order to Market it as a new attraction something this park really does struggle with if you have back or

Neck problems I would suggest giving this one a Miss as it can be very rough and quite the headbanger moving on to Pirates this is a somewhat fresh take on the classic pirate Adventure featuring much of what people love about the original and something new too this

Version features two drops as well as sord fighting Pirates and of course it received the updated animatronics of Captain Jack Sparrow and Captain Barbosa with a rather awesome ghost pirate effect on the Barosa animatronic the ride starts as with other versions going past the restaurant which here is called

Captain Jack the whole family can ride this one and I highly recommend it other food options in Adventure Land include restaurant Hakuna Matana where you can get chicken strips and other food the pizza Outpost which serves well pizza and the Indian food buffet agar C Cafe Fantasy Land here at Disneyland Paris is

Absolutely loaded with kids rides and it’s usually the busiest place to be in this park as all parents and children make a beine for it here you can find Peter Pan’s flight Snow White Pinocchio the flying Dumbo the Mad hats tea party the carousel Del Lancelot and a little

Separate area out behind the railroad track featuring a powered roller coaster called the Casey junor circus train and a slow paced boat ride called the St story book Canal you can meet Mickey Mouse in his own Theater which can command long lines but by far the most popular attraction here and possibly on

The whole Resort is the princess Pavilion this small entrance at the back of fantasy land is where you go to meet a single Disney princess and it is the luck of the draw as to who is in on the day it could be Ariel Jasmine Aurora

Cinderella or snow white but the CU new for this can reach in excess of 2 to 3 hours especially on busier Park dates so keep that in mind when deciding if you would like to go and do this one next to the Pavilion and by far the biggest ride

In fantasy land is of course the happiest or unhappiest depending on your point of view cruise to sail the seven seas as you journey into the world of tiny singing animatronics on it’s a small world and yes the song is present and yes it could be considered very

Annoying here too but hey it’s just my point of view food options here in fantasy land include Chalet de marionette where you can get things like grilled chicken toad Hall which unfortunately does not feature Mr Toad’s wildbride but rather a British inspired Fish and Chips Restaurant and Bell not

Where you can get pizza and pasta based dishes such as bnes and lasagna most exclusive restaurant and the best way to meet multiple Disney Princesses is O Burge dendrilla this starts at a whopping 95 for adults and 5050 for kids but we’ll guarantee that you meet the princesses in a less crowded setting

Lastly we have Discovery Land which is the steampunk version of Tomorrowland and appears to be somewhat thematically confused but still it’s pretty good all to say the first inconsistency is the ride Buzz Lightyear laser blast which is a copy of the other Buzz Lightyear shooting rides and is the only new ride

Added to this park since 1993 took over the old time G keeper Circle Vision attractions building in April 2006 and whilst fun it’s not make sense here in my opinion we have the classic driving ride or Topia where you can take your diesel car on one of four

Tracks obviously being held on its course by the guy rail in the middle always love going on this ride is it’s just a silly way to spend 10 minutes going around twists turns over Bridges and under tunnels the orbitron is a spinner ride just like the flying Dumbo

And in my opinion one once you have done one of these you’ve done them all and between the two theme parks Disneyland Paris actually has three of these attractions the biggest and best ride in this land and in my opinion this part is the 1993 version of Space Mountain it is

Currently running a Star Wars overlay That was supposed to be temporary for the 25th anniversary but with the 30th Anniversary now behind us it seems like this version of the ride is at least for the foreseeable future here to stay this is the only version of the coaster to

Feature a frilling uphill launch before you go through a high-speed layout of twists and turns in the dark with free inversions all to an orchestral soundtrack from the Star Wars franchise this one is not for the faint of heart and voma did a fantastic job utilizing the space inside the show building for

What is a good length and a fast ride this was the first roller coaster to ever feature synchronized onboard audio in its original iteration Space Mountain D alalon I’m sorry if I messed that up going back to thematic inconsistency the back end of Discovery Land is somewhat confused and home to

Two more attractions on the right is Discovery Land Theater which is house both Captain IO and Honey I Shrunk the Audience in the past but bizarrely it is now home to Mickey’s Phil har magic which was ported over from Fantasy Land in the Magic Kingdom in Florida and

Shows on Peak days only I do not understand the decision to put this film in this theater because if it was to increase capacity will people do not go and see it and it rarely ever gets a full theater finally Discovery Land turns into what could only be described

As a mini Star Wars land moving from the steampunk athetic to a galaxy far far away with the motion simulator ride star towards the adventures continues located here which is the same as the other versions of this ride that can be found globally a top tip here this version of

Star Tours has French dubbed audio but if you ask your cast member very politely the audio can be switched to English for your flight on board stss flight 1401 the final attraction found here is a permanent Star Wars meet and greet location that usually has you coming

Face to face with Darth beta rarely you can catch other Star Wars characters such as maybe kylo Ren but usually it is just Darth the food here in discoveryland we have Cafe Hyperion an absolutely massive eery serving burgers fries and typical American style fast food I believe at one point it was the

Single biggest fast food restaurant in all of Europe I don’t know if it holds that title anymore so we have established what is on offer at Disneyland park but is it good well in short yes it is it is a beautifully presented and well-maintained theme park

That is both Disney and French at the same time the architect Ure and presentation show the attention to detail commanded by the imagineers when designing and building this theme park but with no truly new Riser attractions built from the ground up in now over 30

Years I think this park may have a bit of a problem Disney has had the Monopoly on the European Theme Park Market when it comes to the big players but the Paris Resort being the most visited tourist attraction year after year there has been no competition to step into the

Ring and truly force them to innovate and improve the original part all of that may well have changed with Universal Parks and Resorts purchasing a very large plot of land in Bedford England and announcing their intention to build a Universal Studios right here in Great Britain and we may see Disney

Start to respond we will talk more about the expansion to Walt Disney Studios in the review of that part but in the meantime the main Disneyland Park remained largely untouched I hope we see Disney begin to add some new major attractions to this park in the near

Future because it is way past time at this point and as a fan I want something new or I see no reason to return as often as I would like with other European Resorts available and a potential full scale Universal Park essentially right on my doorstep unless Innovation and improvements happen soon

No matter how much I love spending time here it may be that I begin to venture elsewhere more often having said that if you have never visited this park before you’re going to be in for a magical time and hopefully the memories you make can last a lifetime I give Disneyland park
