Cologne Cathedral Germany | Kolner Dom | Koln Cathedral

The Cologne Cathedral, Kolner Dom, is the largest Gothic Church in Northern Europe.
During World War 2, The Cologne Cathedral amazingly remained standing, in an otherwise sadly, destroyed city of Cologne.
I excitedly scheduled a tour of the Cathedral in German, because there were no tour openings in English until after I would have departed by train the following day. The other person in my tour group spoke German, and our Tour Guide, Thomas, happily offered & said that he would present the hour long tour, in both German & in English (for me!)- so he switched back and forth for each of us! The entire tour was a swuper special experience. I loved listening to the information in both languages!
THe Cathedral is Germany’s most visited landmark, with 20,000 visitors a day!
