Deutschland Ticket Tour 2023 – Dag 4 Celle – Lübeck – København (subtitled)
Last time i was in Celle was on a family vacation 30 years ago. So lets compare 1993 to 2023 Between the town of Celle and the railwaystation lies the Trift Gardens. Until 1833 this was a grazing area for the farmers cows.
In 1833 the grazing was prohibited and the area was slowly made into the garden that it is today A memorial for the fallen soldiers during the first World War was erected In the Western end of the garden Celle -> Hamburg Departure 10.08 am
Arrival 1.03 pm The next train departs in 48 minutes so theres time for shopping and food Hamburg -> Lübeck Departure 1.55 pm Lübeck Arival 2.22 pm How about a trip on the sightseeing boat/bus Memory lane flashback to 1991 Once more a family vacation comparison
Shopping for Marzipan and then a beer at the waterfront Lübeck -> Kiel Departure 4.26 pm Kiel -> Rendburg Arival 6.36 pm Waiting at Schleswig station for the train to Copenhagen Schleswig -> Copenhagen Central Station Departure 9.06 pm, the Second to last train on this journey
Kolding: The day is turning to dusk and soon the journey gets less exiting when its all dark outside Its a lot more dark outside in reality than the camera picks up. 50 minutes until we reach Copenhagen Ringsted The last stop before Copenhagen Central Station
This journey have been on my bucket list for the last 4 years is comming to an end In 4 days i have traveled 2249 km (1.397 miles) I have experienced delays and change of plans acordingly I have traveled on a suspension train through Wuppertal City
Taken a ride to the top of Brocken on a steam train from the Cold War era I have visited places that i havent seen for 30 years Stayed at 3 very different hotels For the first time in my life i have been on a vacation by myself
And even though i have enjoyed the journey im pretty sure that my regular travel companion will visit these places with me sometime I hope You have enjoyed following me on this journey and if so do give me a “thumbs up”
Sidste dag på turen er kommet. Nu går det imod Hamborg og herefter til Lübeck.
Efter lidt Sightseeing i Lübeck og en øl ved kanalen, går turen imod Kiel, Rendsburg, Schleswig og så imod København.
