Crossing Europe, episode 40
Today I make 435km in extreme heat and have to make a break every hour. I’m fighting with maps, because with every route it wants me to pass by water. I don’t think now it’s the moment to learn how to pass by rivers and take the risk to slip and fall. The engine light is blinking happily and the chain is making a grinding sound. I’m on my way to the next dealer, in Salamanca. Every village I pass is beautifull, specially the fort of Elvas and the castle of Alburquerque.

A woman and her motorbike, alone, crossing Europe,. The first challenge was from Spain to the North Cape (N) and also my second challenge: driving by motorbike from the northernmost point of Europe to the southernmost point of Europe. North Cape (N) – Tarifa (E) No ferries, just driving and burning rubber. But the travel goes on and I have still lots of kilometers waiting me.

Please, take the first exit to Greece. Few ferries and a good motorway. We have a lot of discussion!
The blinking light?? If bikes runs okay, just make sure you have oil and water on the engine, until you get to repair shop!!! The chain, get somebody to help you on centerstand and turn the wheel by hand watching the chain!! it should run smooth (I am suspecting it is worn out, if you did not get a new one since nordkapp?????) Be careful in the heat.
