Around Sicily with motorcycle -Two Riders -Days 11-13 – Caccuri, Bari and back
The storms of the following days changed our plans again so we decided to leave Sicily From Syracuse we ended up in Caccuri, about 30km from Crotone In a very ugly place and the room and the view (ironic) But why are we here? We have booked a room at Crotone for today
But he was full and he falsely seemed vacant on Booking so he canceled our reservation So Booking got us this room Beautiful place But it was pouring rain for most of our route How many kilometers from Syracuse to here? 600km? 500km? How many kilometers was it? And about 600lt of rain
No, I think the liters were many more! After 2 Days in Caccuri, because of the rain, we left for the port of Bari to take the Ferry to return to Greece Sicily is an amazing place and even better with a motorcycle. We saw tourists from other continents, but not as many from Europe
Besides Italians which I find it very strange. We faced more problems than we anticipated with food and accommodation. One time we have not eaten for 36 hours not by choice. This trip also included the testing of the changes we did on the motorcycle. A bigger windshield, a much more comfortable seat and the placement
Of the back luggage 3 to 4cm back for more room were the changes we did and all had a very good result to our comfort. We’re pleased overall to keep this motorcycle for our next trip. When we returned we visited a shop to sit on the Yamaha Tracer 7 GT to decide for sure
But in our surprise and disappointment it didn’t have much space surely no more than our bike even with the comfortable seat on of the GT and unfortunately Honda doesn’t have a sport tourer a similar sport tourer for our budget at least
As for our trip in Sicily because the rain changed our plans many times and we couldn’t visit all the places we wanted and it is a very beautiful place both in landscape and in history I hope we will return someday

Our journey from Greece to Sicily, Italy with a motorcycle.
The bike is not a typical tourer, but a Honda CB 500X and we are two XL riders.
This video is our 11th, to 13th day where we decided to leave Sicily earlier than planned, because of the continuous storms of the next days, so we ended up at Caccuri which was about in the middle of the distance from Syracuse to Bari. We stayed there for two days and then went to the port of Bari to take the ferry back to Patra, Greece.
