Got a Feeling there’s quite a few new people here oh hi please um answer the question how far in advance should one book one’s flight and hotel okay I’ll get to that question in a minute but let’s just see who’s here common commenter is here coexist is here also
Awesome um Lanny nice go one down under nice Japan holics assemble Jim Ross says absolutely we will assemble here damn I’m trying to catch at least the first 15 minutes well you’re here you made it I think Jerome hello Jerome Japan Japan ban trying to save the day earlier on

Think it’s the first time I’ve seen you in the chat um Jesse nice Nick also hey only one nights is also here pretty cool pretty pretty cool um I’m just gaming for everybody who’s here by the way Darth Nathan yeah I don’t know what’s going on there but
Hey um so I fixed the audio toada is here also and anyway I’m going to I’m going to get to some of the I’m just checking to see if there’s anybody that missed Steven is here also Jim Zilla cool hey Jim Zilla how you doing Jim Zilla by the way hope
You’re doing well I like the name Jim Zilla only one night stepan became a Houston rapper for a second seriously um yeah anyway all right we got some questions here which I want to get to straight away um earlier on the very first question first of well let’s let’s get
To the two questions the first question was from axos who says sir um hi please attention to the question how far in advance should one book for flights and hotels okay when it comes to flights it’s a really difficult question to be honest um before covid before the
Pandemic it was quite an easy question to answer but now I find that um prices are still very they they fluctuate a lot they’re very incons is actually very difficult to figure out um when to book so somebody just sent um I’ve just messaged somebody who asked the same
Question and my answer was basically really what you could do is um set up a Tracker like on expedia.com or on Skyscanner for example you set your specific um like dates for your flights and you set a Tracker and what it will do is it will alert you every time the
Flight go the flight price goes up or the flight price price goes down really set yourself a target for how like how um what your budget is what’s the low what’s the highest end and I guess it’s one of those things where you if you feel that the flight is Affordable you
Just go for it and um hope for the best hopefully you wouldn’t have um got a better price ultimately it’s a very difficult one I tend to try to look around the five month four month five month um mark I find that um before 6 months it can really really really be
Unpredictable but then again you really really never know so yeah then by the way if I miss any of your questions please just repeat them and I will be and I always do um check out members questions first so if you’re a member then I will I will obviously um
Highlight the members for example amister member for 16 months dude amnes says thanks for all you do Nathan happy to make a stream after nearly a month glad it worked out for me finally I’m glad you’re here dude much appreciated very very very appreciated by the way um what I’m doing this this
Um this week is anybody who super chats whatever messages because I remember I’m going to put a big thank you here and am is the first one if I could write it right amister don’t know if you could see it yeah you could just about see it amister
Thank you you’re the first one on the on the list and um obviously you know thank you so um there was another question which is do you need proof of medical vaccinations I know covid you don’t but some countries require other vaccinations like yellow fever that’s a
Really good question and the answer to that question is in two Parts first of all I want to remind you that although I’m very knowledgeable and I put a lot of research and a lot of time into putting the videos together for you to make it easy for you to understand I
Want to remind you that I am not an expert I’m just somebody that that’s passionate and wants to help people out so always double check what I say just remember that but um I believe that currently you do not need any vaccinations to enter Japan unless you come from very specific countries in
Asia which require you to have t tuberculosis um vaccines if you’ve been in the country for for a certain amount of time so you’d have to check that that’s that’s been quite a recent thing if you’re coming from specific um countries very very specific countries in Asia I believe that they’re asking
For some vaccinations um but but um only in very specific scenarios um if you have any questions please let us know hey I’m you watching from Nevada you say hey Alberto thanks for watching from Nevada awesome Dar monkey crazy monkey named Nathan when he’s in Japan he’s streaming every day
Son hey also head 002 is new from rhs Island welcome to ninja monkey thanks for being here and um also Jerome is new cool we’re having loads of new people today which is awesome so please please please let us know if you’re new new Jim zida says hello I’m new you see I
Thought that name was new Jim zida says I’m from Dallas Texas question how do I know when which trains require a ticket purchase if I’m able to use a sweer card for the train ride that’s a good question and it’s actually a little bit
Of a of a um difficult one to answer but I’ll try my best General um rule of f is in like um transit trains within a city like for example if you’re traveling around Tokyo normally you can um you need a ticket and the sua will act like a like
A ticket that’s basically what it is the WEA will act like a ticket or you can purchase a ticket um from point A to point B um using money using using cash or you can actually purchase using the S and you actually get a physical ticket
That you put into the ticket machine or you can tap with Rica and it it acts the same way there are some trains specifically limited Express trains that um might require you to purchase a special limited Express um you know um seats specifically especially in longer distance travel for example shinkansen
Bullet trains between major cities like from Tokyo to Osaka or Tokyo to Kyoto or Tokyo to to North to Sendai will require you to have a specific ticket for the shinkansen now that is actually a physical paper ticket which you can purchase using your sua card so you
Cannot use your sua card to tap into a shin Canen train but you can use your sua card which has money on it to purchase the S the the um shinkansen um train ticket which we will then use to get onto the shinkansen or also bear in
Mind that there are certain trains that require you to have a seat reservation too so a little bit difficult because there are just so many so so many trains um in in Japan that um also I I am encountered something that was quite new
For me and that was on the way to the to the um ISU Peninsula from Tokyo a few a few weeks ago actually I need needed to I was supposed to purchase a train ticket for a seat tck ticket um it said um reserved seats now I couldn’t for the
Life of God figure out what I had to do to be honest and then when I was speaking to somebody they mentioned to me that you just get on the train and there are that specific train had three had two lights above the seat which i’ never seen or never actually noticed
Before and if it was green it meant that that seat was free if it was um yellow I believe it meant or if it was red it meant that somebody was going to occupy that seat in a future station so you would have to vacate that seat um if
Somebody you know in the next station somebody would would would had had reserved that seat so there are many different ways of you know of the whole seat situation and ticket situation and there are there’s so many trains so many systems but ultimately you just need to
Remember that um sua card is it’s basically a digital payment it’s a pay a physical payment it’s a prepayment card basically so if you need a ticket some places will just take the sua as if it was a ticket some places will not but
You can still use a s to pay for the physical ticket I hope that makes sense maybe something that I will have to dive into a little bit deeper hopefully make a little bit more of a comprehensive guide in the future right I think Jacob love your videos this is my first stream
I’m traveling to Japan next week awesome Jacob exciting for you hey cter Geraldo hello and Adam is new to the channel thanks for the content so far my favorite Japan Travel Channel thank you so much that means a lot wife and I are headed there in May thanks for the help
Like I said mainly my aim is to make you more confident Travelers if you can be confident before you even leave because you’ve watched some of my videos then I’ve done something right um freezing last freezing night in Berlin what it’s quite warm here actually for those of you who don’t know
I’m actually from jolta I live in jalta jalta is an overseas British territory on the very south tip of Spain in Europe for those who don’t know so yes followed you since today what awesome I saw you in Little’s live stream earlier nice Peppe thank you awesome will we see a pppe pig
Account funny funny funny um oh you’re using a Tracker awesome excellent I recommend setting up notifications for some flight comparison sites that’s exactly what I’ve just said right now what that is excellent um advice I would agree um so let’s see Kenneth hi Nathan I will be in Japan for my first layover
Which is 10.5 hours will I have time to go from Heda at 4 p.m. um to Shinjuku and Harajuku then back for 1:30 a.m. flight out in haneda yeah I would say um it depends on what are you how are you going to deal with the luggage you can
Actually leave your luggage at haneda airport there is a there is a luggage count that you can pay to leave your luggage there so that will help I I would say that if you it all depends on a how long it takes for you to get out
Of the airport in terms of passport control and how long it takes for you to actually get your your luggage unless your luggage is being you know is um going to the next destination and you don’t have to worry about that then usually from Hana tushin Juku it’s
Probably going to take you about an hour 50 minutes maybe to get to there or 55 minutes to get to Shinjuku so that would be 5:00 p.m. then you’d have 6 7 8 9 I would say around 900 p.m. you’d want to start heading back or 9:30 p.m. you want
To start heading back I would say um and just remember that the last the last trains um from Tokyo are usually around midnight you don’t want to you don’t want to miss the last train you’re going to have you’re going to be in a lot of
Of trouble and I would say that yes however you know there are places that are closer to another that you might want to um check out instead of Shinjuku but I understand Shinjuku Harajuku you could do it you could spend an hour or two in each Place comfortably get
Back I tend to use my air miles to book flights in which case the time to book is as early as possible I see I see Air France economy to go next week on Wednesday in 10 days and return the Monday the week after 11 days is £650 in
A economy that’s a freaking good deal now it all depends on how free you are when it comes to um you know like travel really guys if you have any travel specific travel questions please let us know hey Jennifer Jennifer’s in the house Jennifer’s in the house awesome
Um do you really need to buy Disney toky tickets in advance I would say yes I would say that um when it comes to purchasing tickets for for specific Parks 100% you know just for ease of ease of mind um places like Universal Tokyo Tokyo SE which is opening a brand
New area um will be very very very busy and I suggest that you do lock those tickets Jim Ross gifted five ninja monkey memberships thank you so much AR thanks so much and Jim Ross is Jim Ross is being added to the list I hope you
Can see it and also I usually have like a I don’t know it’s going to work but I have like a a monkey Sal that I do thanks so much um yeah please don’t forget to like because like in will really help the channel etc etc you know the whole
YouTube thing um do I need to pre-book Sky observation dicks at scramble um Square Casey I would say probably yes like I mentioned in my video although a lot of places do not require you really in theory I know that a lot of people have missed out and have actually ended
Up being very kind of upset because or they’ve had to change their their their their um plans as a result of not having a ticket there’s two ways of doing this and one of them is heading to these locations literally half an hour or 45 minutes before they actually open um and queuing
Up and getting the early tickets um obviously as the day progresses it is going to get Fuller and full and eventually there won’t might not be space um the sky the Shibuya Sky which is the one that you’re referring to um is very very popular and does sell out
Very often and I’ve heard of many viewers saying that they’d gone there and they’d had to basically book for two or three days in the future so and then it just messes up your itinerary right I made the stream also Alberto thanks for being here from Toronto coming again in
The end of February is government station deck better and free that’s a good question you know what they’re all very uniquely different um the government the the Metropolitan government of Salvation deck in Shinjuku by the way I have a Shinjuku guide if you haven’t checked it out please check
It out but the government Metropolitan Shinjuku um Building observation deck is actually pretty good you do get very good views of Tokyo it is free um however it’s a little bit different the one the the sky the Shibuya Sky um observation deck is actually out outside it’s very uniqu
Unique because you’re actually outdoors and you do get 360° pan amas of the city was the sky tree is indo obviously it’s much higher you get a completely different sort of view of the city as if you were on a plane nearly and um and you’re indoors so it’s all a matter of
Of um of choice really I always recommend that you start if you can start off your trip with an observation deck then it will mean that you’ll be able to actually get a sense of the city and how freaking big Tokyo is new from London hey Waldo how are you
Doing thanks on the note of um new from from um from London I’m going to be doing a London meetup on the 15th of February 2024 this year 15th of February I’m going to be in London for that week and I thought that that date I’ve earmarked for a potential Meetup for
Those of you who might be in London based or UK based and want to make it down for the afternoon stroke evening for some drinks and Japan chat basically like what we’re doing here but in real life let me know and um check us out on
The Discord we have a Discord which is um a great place to also ask questions there’s a nice Japanese Supermarket with a small um restaurant in Berlin Japan Plaza Alexander plats they have good sushi and Bento and other Japanese food awesome Lo of new people hey what’s this
Only one night thank you what’s the best Japan travel tip you’ve ever heard oh I’m just going to add your name up here actually only one right thank you dude um what is the best travel tip you’ve ever heard I mean it’s going to I it’s going to sound like a ad
But I honestly think that having pocket Wi-Fi and you can use my affiliate link I say in all my videos but I honestly think that having pocket Wi-Fi and a data connection can make a huge difference to your trip um to the point that I’ve actually been in specific situations where I’ve
Actually booked tickets on the on the train on the way to the to the location to get ahead of things um also for navigation Google translate it just opens up your your your whole um Japan trip to be honest and you can use my affiliate Link at www. ninjas docomo I have
Will take you there sick wither kicks is not new you’re not new dude Kevin hi Nathan I’m traveling to Japan with my wife next man for honeymoon congratulations I’m staying for 20 days I intend to cover Tokyo hakone Osaka Hiroshima Mima Kyo back to Tokyo I know
Where this is going is the Japan Jr Pass worth it it all depends on how often you’re going to be traveling and it also depends if you’re going to be getting a a a two we pass or a 3 week pass um across those days you might actually
Find that it’s not worth it you’d have to do your own calculations my suggestion is that you go to search for Jr pass calculator you put in your itinerary and it will actually tell you what the price comparison is between individual tickets and the Jr pass but nowadays the Jr Pass unless you’re
Traveling pretty much every other day it’s a difficult one heading back in April look forward to sharing my trip with you all appreciate you ninja monkey for hyping us up love love hyping people up absolutely yeah loads of people are traveling let us know when you’re traveling next by the
Way thanks Jim absolutely thanks Jim hey to how you doing and Waldo hi Nathan I’m traveling to you in April I was wondering what are the options are as I can only eat Halal and vegetarian dishes are there many restaurants to pick from um that’s a good question I’m not a
Vegetarian however I know that there are lots of websites um that answer this question um and also I’ve noticed increasingly more Halal restaurants or Halal um Foods because I don’t eat Halal it’s not something that I specifically uh uh you know you know very aware of but I have
Definitely noticed when I’ve been in Tokyo or in the bigger cities I’ve noticed signs for Halal so um you you’d probably be all right you just probably need to add that little bit of extra sort of um planning to your trip and this just one of those things when you
Have specific needs you need to add a little bit of extra um time and focus to make sure that your trip goes as smoothly as as it can there you go there are lots of Halal and vegetarian restaurants in Tokyo Japan Japan Japan answering for us
Hey fa hey far I’m doing well I am I still think toky is far more interesting on the ground than from overhead um yeah definitely however it’s a great way to get um a um a vantage point I think 70 pass is 50k for one week Tokyo to
Osaka to break even generally yeah it’s difficult the it’s very difficult the only situation I’ve ever I’ve seen recently is somebody who sent me a message and we calculated it together and they’re literally traveling every other day for two weeks and it was definitely worth it in that
Regard okay my smart X is not registering with visa and mass in Canada um avik um okay this is an interesting one and I actually set up um on my phone I’m just going to get my phone but what I had to do to check this out to to test it
Is there are for I’m guessing you’re talking about Apple pay um and you’re talking about sua the digital sua which unfortunately is only available for Apple pay this digital twer here it’s only available for Apple pay and um for um Apple devices because of the type of
Chipset that the iPhones have that the Android um phones simply don’t have if they are Western if they’re japanmade they do have the chip Japan Japan Chan was explaining all this to me by the way um but I understand that there are some countries where using specific cards do
Not allow you to to either purchase um tickets or in Japan or to actually top up and create a digital speaker and just to quickly quickly explain the there are some middle ways of doing them and number one way would be to um set up and install a travel app for example
Revolute o wise so this is my wise card this is my wise card there and basically it’s a free account a free app a free account and literally what you do is you add money to your digital account and you can actually create a digital virtual card which you
Can then use to top up your Apple pay to top up your suer if that makes any sense um and I know that I’ve heard some people that have also done it with apple cash which you can set up also if it’s available to you but um that’s probably
The best way and the middle middle way to do it by the way once you’ve actually set up once you’ve you’ve actually created your digital s suer on the iPhone once it’s created if you don’t want to top it up on the phone it works exactly the same
As any other um twer card physical card it works exactly the same as this card by the way um you can take it to a machine and you can top it up there you can you can top it up at um at um cominis Etc so definitely definitely
Definitely if you do have an iPhone try it by the way these I am giving away to my friends who are traveling to Japan so I’m not being a somebody who’s um just hoarding um icy cards ooh Chiba is free nice one that’s a that’s an observation deck I’ve never
Been to I’m going to be in Japan end of May and I would you recommend the new kabuko tower in Shinjuku I’ll also be in Osaka in June yes why not it’s free it’s very cool it’s very interesting um it’s you’ll have to make your own mind it is
It is pretty cool you could probably spend a few hours there it’s fun I would but London is two hours away and I’ll be working so too bad let’s see if I’m missing anything um I use the link I’m glad I’ve booked in advance to pick up Wi-Fi at the airport
Thank you danj awesome is University St Japan worth going to as a Solo Traveler that’s a that is an interesting question and one that I can answer now I’ve not done the Mario area of Universal Studios but I have been to Universal Studios as a Solo Traveler and if I remember right
And I can’t remember if it was Disney or Universal I I ended up getting a um the the fast pass I actually paid for the fast pass I had a great time let’s just say I had a great time it just depends how much you like um you know like how
How much do you like theme parks really Jerome Thomas Nathan how difficult is it to get to the interior of Japan from Narita Airport going to tuuba for a week and Tokyo for a week easy peasy um Narita is very very well served um you can get to from Narita
Depending where in Tokyo you want to get to but from Narita to ueno is like 25 minutes or something like that crazy um to Tokyo station from weno is only like eight minutes very easy I had good experience with Cobel very nice fast and reliable I think for
Overall General people traveling it’s um it’s a great choice I’ll be book booked at the Apper Hotel chain akab and the Uppa in Osaka around CH W close to shin shinashi and nice nice nice nice I am an Apper Master because I can’t go to Japan four times a
Year and stay in fancy hotels can I I’m going to Japan for 16 days with my grownup daughter in September I’m not sure to get an eim or a pocket Wi-Fi I think if you got to decide um clutch if your daughter is if you think your daughter’s going to want some
Independence and you think that they are going to want to probably travel out you know away from you for a little bit of time then maybe just maybe get two separate eims one for each person um that’s what I that’s what I would probably um suggest right how much Japanese should I learn
Before visiting great question um I think there’s there’s Never Enough is basically the answer but I’d probably say the the most important things are like excuse Meen um and a big one is like um k k which is that cor which is that so you could point at things literally
Like a caveman and say that that I want that I want that it it and um obviously things like like um where is a toilet ores where is a station those sort of things generally with translation Etc you you you do a good job you you’ll be fine ultimately it’s um not too
Difficult let’s see I would recommend the Tokyo in hotels also the toyu in and one in told you was nice and clean most hotels are are clean although small I have to go back in July and draged back to Kyoto I hate Kyoto people but Hotel vishio Koto is actually really
Nice yeah APPA hotel is pretty cool I love my my stay at hotel an room in Kyoto some great recommendations this is why I love these streams because you guys can give me recommendations also um I want to buy an iPhone is it real that phone cameras make noise yes
They do will they keep making it when you leave Japan yes they will my understanding is that yes they will and I’m not very sure if it’s actually cheaper to buy iPhones in Japan because Japan even though the yen is lower Japan always adds an apple tax you know like putting things more
Expensive hello for the United States I will be visiting Hokkaido during late August are there any underrated places you recommend to visit um in Hokkaido I love Hokkaido first of all going in um summer in August it’s a great time to go basically Japan in the summer is very
Hot very humid and Hokkaido is a little bit cooler so it’s kind of nice and not as humid and it’s really well known for its flowers and its Fields it’s its um dairy products and I recommend places like otaru places like be furano um yeah you like
It how much Japanese Yen should I take for a one we trip to Japan estimated excluding hotel prices depends on whether you’re going to be taking Yen out at the cash point um basically really it just depends on that for those of you who are just watching for the
First time maybe here maybe watching then please don’t forget to like thank you very much don’t forget to hit the like button any St like could buy a new iPhone that’s not Apple Store and get tax discount um probably a yashi or a big camera would do it I’m not very sure
They would be L locked into specific contracts I really don’t know whether buying a phone in Japan is going to be cheaper this you’d have to do your research really and because usually what happens is when Apple realizes that the Yen the currency is is um low they put up the
Prices to compensate so that to stop people from doing exactly that let’s see the CLE I recommend the simple phrase iura and Bud yeah yeah how much is it and it’s okay for crowded places yell sh I’m traveling Tokyo for for TW weeks absolute chaos gaming nice what are you
Going to be do in Tokyo did you ever buy an Android K Tai phone no I did not I don’t know if you’re talking to me but I didn’t um I don’t I like Apple stuff but to be honest I’ll go for whatever works really I don’t think there’s a right or
Or a wrong answer when it comes to phones to be honest is totally honest nowadays hello I’m planning to visit manuji and would like to avoid the rush is a period from the 10th to the 20th of July a good time sending love from India v um basically the period between the
First of June I think it is or the 1 of July perhaps all the way until um September is the only period where M Fuji is open officially meaning that every day is going to be busy and it’s probably going to be impossible to not
Have a a a busy period on Mount Fuji um unfortunately those are the times where the the mountain hats are open officially and therefore that’s why it’s so busy it is I believe the most climbed mountain in the world if I if I remember right can mean May different things so
Maybe not good to use G is close to me myel sort is away from me yeah yeah yeah yes um do you have any Yakiniku places recommended in Tokyo will be celebrating my friend’s birthday um Yakiniku there’s loads of Yakiniku place this is the thing with Tokyo I mean like
The ones I go to they’re okay they’re in weno that’s usually where I stay but it all depends on where you’re staying you’re not going to you know if you’re in Shinjuku you’re not going to want to go all the way down to Eno just for Yakiniku do some research and um and
You’ll you’ll find so many so so so many not sure there is a good time to avoid the rash exactly Jesse anytime fu is open is crowded that’s right um I believe you need to advance tickets now um I’m not very sure if they are specifically Advanced tickets but
They’re definitely supposed to be like um a cup once it gets to a certain a certain number of people then they might start charging or they might limit the amount of people so how much do you convert before um traveling that’s a difficult one because I’ve got to I’ve got everything down to
A skill where basically I take 10,000 Yen only in my wallet that’s all I convert nowadays I have everything in a currency um card like revolute or wise and then I try to use my card as much as I want as much as I can and crucial this
Is a crucial one if you have an Apple phone an iPhone then I just keep on topping up my Saker card and using my S swier card and that means that I hardly ever need to take cash out travel to Japan for a home and FL May travel to Kyoto oaka Kyoto Nara
Noaki kosak to nice okama Hiroshima and fukoka awesome those are some great places by the way did you have the pink carry in um toi yeah and obviously it’s important Japan Japan Jaan makes a very valid point and that is how much you spend in
A day um how much do I spend in a day it it really does depend have I ever collaborated with other YouTubers like John only in Japan or that Japanese manuta um the only collaborations that I’ve done are with let’s ask shogo and Oriental Pearl which
Is a friend of mine um and then there are some other YouTubers like nomadic aing in Japan um lto a little bit of Japan is another one Daniel and Yuka um but I you know what collaboration are they they they work they work I just prefer hanging out with people if it
Becomes a collaboration then great but I’ve never met John dob although I’ve communicated with him a few times um and the Japanese man UTA also I have not met either so yeah I’m always up for for meeting people oh yeah and I’ve also kind of collaborated I have collaborated
In the past in a way with um with um life where I’m from anyone have any recommendations for rokan in Kos K kinosaki onen not sure you’ve been monan I have I have but I went for a day trip you see um I went very early in the morning from Kyoto on
A day trip um and I came back in the evening and I got myself the um Onsen pass which you could use I think at various onsens through through the the um you know for that area I went up to the actually there’s a video on my
Channel of of that day generally General day um back in the day a few years back I think this summer I will force my relatives to go with me to Tokyo National No theater and Tokyo takasuka nice you should if they force you to go to places you don’t want to go you
Should force them to go to places they don’t want to go the way Jaan is pimping M Fuji they should just start calling Mount r Nevada hey hi from the Philippines I’m traveling this March for 5 days marches around the corner to aak for the first
Time and I plan to go to Osaka Kyoto anara can you recommend how long um you should stay in these places I can recommend and I would say it all depends on whether you want City Life or a little bit more of traditional culture capital of Japan those three places are so
Interchangeable that you could stay in one and and you could actually travel because from Osaka to Kyoto it’s like half an hour or something from and then to Nara is a same everything is it’s in the general same vicinity so um it just depends where you want to stay Kyoto is
For me personally Kyoto has a lot more to do a lot more to see um culturally in terms of shrines temples food maybe not food but shrines and temples um and interesting areas is um it’s it was a cultural it is a cultural um capital of
Japan now Osaka is a city which is vibing and full of energy and has great food culture um and Nara is the kind of place that maybe you’re going to want want to go for one day if that you might not even make a full day in Nara so
Hopefully that’s sort of helped you a little bit I don’t know hello nishad is one good enough for all the right es with Jr and train well one weer card will be as good don’t forget a weer card is basically empty as in this weer
Card might have 500 yen in it only and it’s a deposit it might have zero um like um cash in it right now but you top it up you add money to it and then it becomes like a like a cash card which you use for for purchasing things and
Going on trains Etc so just remember that there’s a lot of Confusion by the way I mentioned this before and that is that you know they all work the same just sua is just one popular version but um Manaka is another one you can use a
Manaka the same way in the same places Paso is another one ikoka is another one etc etc what would you say it’s the best city town to go to visit man Fuji hakone to visit man Fuji hakone or any others well I wouldn’t specifically go to
Hakone to visit man Fuji I say I would say kawaguchiko is probably that area kawaguchiko specifically is probably the best area when it comes to to traveling Oh My Gosh guys we are at 96 viewers are we going to hit the 100 viewers on this stream it hasn’t happened for a long
Time this is the first time in a few months actually only spent 3 hours in toori to visit the sand Junes and camels those are funny right Michael y I just started watching your channel I was wondering if you had City day by day itary posted somewhere um I don’t necessarily have
Specific day byday itineraries but I do have like top 10 things to do and um top popular things to see for Tokyo and for Kyoto and then for other cities and towns I’ve got sort of like um f that you can get up to and and do and as in
Following my journey for example um a wakamatsu kazawa is another one um and um Kyoto of the north so I do have a few and even within the city for example Shinjuku I have a Shinjuku guide which basically goes over some of the main things to check out nishad I’m doing
Well my my daily budget is 25,000 Yen but I’m planning to do shopping Pachinko and trying wagu and unag unagi yay we just broke the 100 people Mark don’t forget please to like and actually I’m going to do some confetti there for that um places I use cash on my first
Trip topping at my S card a couple small out of the way restaurants and places with a 10% service charge on credit cards yeah by the way um the difference the main difference actually between the physical Saker and the digital Saker that’s on the phone is that the the
Physical Saker you have to top up um with cash I believe um whil the the digital sart you can use your Apple pay to to top app which is very convenient hey yes guys I have another channel for those of you who don’t know my second channel is Happy gin I do some
If you like live streaming live streams then um happy gin is probably the one for you because this channel is more about travel tips guides Etc but when I’m in Japan I stream pretty much on the daily on my second channel the happy gyin so please check out happy gyin
Channel subscribe check it out say hello that you saw me from the stream and I do a little bit more casual content and if you are a Spanish speaker see I’m gonna go into Spanish right now end of March nishad awesome thanks for for sharing my second Channel
You see you guys are are so good better than me at at promoting my own thing and by the way that I have some amazing people who do who also have social media you should check out um it’s on my website like Japan Japan jiban on his Facebook page for inspiration
Um yeah stay in Ran there I’m staying oaka for six days but we’ll do two day trips to Kyoto and one day to Hiroshima and Mima nice one that works I think that works everyone has a different way of doing it so airplane tickets are expensive um so
Yeah see Prices range from 1,000 to 2,000 my recommendation is whatever your budget is really um that’s the thing hey n thank you so much for becoming part of chat ninja nishad have I got nishad let me just add you over here to my list of amazing
People awesome I hope you can see that guys but I am attempting to write people’s names when when they become members or when they you know donate Etc any shops you would recommend for old toys from the 70s and ’90s will be staying in Tokyo Osaka and Kyoto thanks
Um you know what you might in a way want to go to head to um I’m not very sure what it’s like in terms of toys but super potato in um the top floor has some retro things Retro Retro not just um arcade games but potentially they might have
Toys and maybe even aiab might be good place to find the sort of thing but maybe some people will be able to to um to help with that one Suka is not just for transportation you can buy things I’ve been at restaurants and I’ve paid with Suka my topup Suka I’ve been at
Vending machines um Ramen Stores um I’ve even bought Electronics you can even pay hotels with WEA if you have if you have enough credit on it so can you better budget what do you mean yeah sua is amazing I really do wish that um Android phones newer Android phones um you know
European and American ones actually worked with with sua or pasma whatever what’s the most available of what sorry in Kyoto it is interesting to me there are very few foreigners in the Train Museum and definitely no one hiking up to doshisha cemetery well there we go we
Hit 109 we’re gone down now but hey it’s all good it’s all good it’s all good it’s all good bit delayed but it’s all good should you book chin Canon tickets in advance my question question is it depends on the route if you’re going um down Osaka Kyoto from to from Tokyo and
You already know the dates then I would say yes it’s worth it especially if you’re traveling with luggage because you’re going to need those specific special seats you know at the beginning of the cart and at the end of the cart there are some special seats a lot of
Questions this week in my my latest video where people have been asking me how what is oversized luggage and I would say that think of it this way if it’s too heavy or too large to fit on the overhead shelf of the train then I would consider that over overhead
Luggage because I expect anything else to go on those shelves hit the like button we’re at only 60% likes okay thanks Jim Ross thanks Feb good time to Vis the Japan you know I say this always every single whenever is best for you is a great time
To go to Japan February is going to be cold I was I traveled to Japan in February last year I loved it I love winter in Japan I think um winter in especially around the Tokyo area is great you can go up into the mountains nearby there’ll be snow um and you know
I come from a warmer climate so it’s always exciting what would be your first dish food to try if you want um to Japan for the very first time again H I think I’ve become a much more adventurous eater now after going to Japan Japan does that to you this I’ve
Been to Japan over 20 times I think and maybe someone in the chat can even remind me because I’ve lost track I think that this trip I’ll be back in March and I think that might be my 20 2nd or my 23rd trip to Japan um I’m not very sure so
Maybe now that I’m more adventurous I like I’d probably go down the sushi Road Sushi maybe because Sushi is so much better in Japan than than um anywhere else really it’s a whole other thing link to be careful not to over plan I agree Mar G Mar G um don’t meet your schedule
Too busy I do agree with that 100% because ultimately I have a rule my rule is basically I try to have three things that I want to do that I must do in a day and a backup which is May 4th if I do those three things in a day I’ll be a
Happy person and if I get to do the fourth one I’ll be even happier you know and three things is a comfortable way of doing things especially you need to really consider the fact that Tokyo is such an expansive large city and it will take you time to get from from area to
Area so you might actually do have to do a little bit of itinerary planning so that you see everything that’s within a certain area on on a day rather than you know be zooming around going from uen or to Shinjuku might take you 35 or 40
Minutes on the train you know so going from Shinjuku to Asaka might take you 55 minutes or 50 minutes on the train noodles and Sushi says Jose my advice s on an iPhone because it’s easier to reload I agree if you have an iPhone no cash or machine terminal just
Make sure your iPhone remains charged yes I agree so any card is a card you can use sweer card you can use a transportation and shops as long as it has the IC card um like logo then yes thanks for doing all these videos we always see them all thanks Fernando I
Hope you know I think production value is getting better I think um I’m starting to become a little bit more succinct with what I say so thank you nishad n love the monkey slick with the kicks I love the little monkey emoji say I have found the good prices if you stop
In Beijing with China Southern then that’s how I got for 700 each person nice hon tips it’s that that is the one that is basically for YouTube you should be able to find it oh yes of course only one night why didn’t I think of that you see this is
Why I need people in the chat because I sometimes forget get things but yeah n of Broadway is an amazing place for for like retro things absolutely n thanks right I’m gonna um thank you you’re welcome I’m I would rather keep things to English I don’t want to I
Don’t want to um mix things up even though I do understand Spanish and I speak Spanish um I’d rather stick to to English on this live stream maybe I’ll do in the future a Spanish one floors and floors of stores dedicated to old school toys yes it’s true very
True shimata maybe even maybe even um no Nako Broadway is probably the best place I’m taking my 77y old mom is Tokyo accessible for people with disabilities um generally yes and it does depend however on the type of um disability really good morning from Sydney we arrived into Japan this Thursday and
I’ve been devouring the content on this channel thank you dude um staying Akita Ami H saporo nosu I love no betsu it’s going to be amazing in the snow takayama kazawa Matsumoto dude Tim you’ve got some nice itinery going there first of all aita Soo I still love it saporo
Incredible nosu incredible um takayama um is incredible kazawa I’ve got a kazawa um guide please check it out by the way wow and we have a super chat dual says going to Tokyo at the beginning of the M March for 8 days what will the weather be like
The beginning of March is probably still going to be a little bit winry um maybe starting to warm up a little bit so I would definitely suggest that you layer up that you have a nice coat especially for the evening a good jacket for the evening um and in terms of the weather
During the day it’s also hit a Miss because for example I was there in in November and even this time when I was there just a few weeks ago at the begin of January at the end of December um there were some days where I didn’t take
A jacket with me because it was it was 14° but you know with the central heating Etc I just didn’t need it but uh generally the weather should be it should be nice and fine really it’s it’s coming into spring and I don’t see it like being terrible weather just maybe
More on the chil chili side anyway I’m going to add you um Duval to my list and thanks I you got thank you for the Super Chat nak Broadway everybody’s with Nako Broadway you know I was supposed to go to Nako Broadway this time around when I
Was there a few weeks ago two or three weeks ago so that I wanted to make a video there but um I didn’t I just got distracted with other things JLo don’t do that what what I miss something sorry can you use sart for taxis too
Most a lot of a lot of taxis yes some i’ I have encountered some taxis that have have not been um s can have only been cash um really can you get s in Hana you can get uh visit uh welcome sua in haneda you need to head to the basically if you
Follow the signs for the monor rail the um welcome sua like card machine is basically next to the monil entrance so just head follow the monorail signs and you’ll get to the welcome WEA the welcome WEA exactly the same as a noral weer the only difference is that it’s um
It expires after 28 days which is if you’re going to be in Japan for less than 28 days and you need to use up the credit because you cannot you cannot um withdrawal the credit that you have so if you have for example 500 yen left on
The card um it will expire with a card so make sure that you use the credit I’m so confused with travel cards and cards you you can use at the stores I have Android if you have Android then forget about it unless you’re your your phone was bought in Japan or is an
Asian-made Android then you won’t be able to use weat on your on your on your phone unfortunately um and in terms of um confusion I would say nishad just remember the most important thing is for you to think of it just as if it was any
Card with no money in it that you put money into and then you use as a prepaid card then GI PK nice Aqua City in NOA may still have an old Japan toy Place nice nice tips paralos Hispano thank you did you Google translate that you’ll be starting asak
Nice very very cool sister and I are going to Japan for the first time this October you got plent plenty of time and loads of time to watch my my videos I’ll probably make so many more um and on my on my um happy gin there’s so many other Vlogs that I don’t
Put on Ninja Mony which are which of places that I don’t mention on ninja monkey also ah Hokkaido snow crab my plan Tokyo hakone kanazawa Kyoto Osaka Hiroshima and Okinawa nice that is a great itinary also any tips for weather during all may coats maybe or too much um I think
May you’ll be coming into potentially rainy season so definitely some waterproofs especially good waterproof um shoes I would say for that time of the year any links for scuba diving in Okinawa I’m sorry but I would not have specific um links for that do you recommend in staying in hotels
Hosts oh host hosts I think it depends on your preference really I know lot of people in fact I know people that are quite well off that choose to stay in hosts because they love the ambient and they love the fact that because they’re solo Travelers they get to meet other
People and they get to Adventure with other people so it just depends I like my own bathroom um I still have my S car and and will use it for my next trip it it even travels without me with a friend oh okay cool I certainly did translate it my
Spanish is worse than my Japanese let’s see oh we got to the bottom I’m surprised I’m very very happy I recently did a bit of reading and I might even be able to convert my daughter her child rer to an adult I didn’t even know that was that so
Yeah Michael I’m going to get portable Wi-Fi I was wondering if you had um an affiliations to portable Wi-Fi company or plug other products there you go nightbot has just um put the one I think um phip has just mentioned it um Sakura mobile if you want to you can actually
Go to www. ninjam monkey. org and there’s a link or www. ninjas docomo and there’s also link to the Discord by the way a relative works for Jr East and gave me a Tokyo Station commemorative speaker you’ve told us this and we are all very jealous
To what’s the best situation to stay in Japan I think two to 3 weeks um for a firsttime traveler is um is a good amount of time can I take a taxi for only 10 minutes walk with suitcases yes of course you can especially with suitcases are the cherry blossoms still there in
Tokyo um Osaka in mid April um the like hood is by mid April it might be very hit Miss probably not but then again it’s only been the first um like Sakura forecast and therefore it might be difficult to predict anything right now when are the Russia hours in Tokyo 8
To 9 a.m. I would say maybe a little before that um I put it this way Diamond darling when I am traveling in Tokyo what I let me just why why is why am I so let me just move that a little bit down okay that’s a bit better when I am
In Tokyo I usually do not get onto public transport um after 730 after 8:00 in the morning or after 7:30 in the morning if it’s before 7:30 I’ll have no problem going on public transport but after 7:30 I don’t touch public transport and all also I would probably start heading to a
Station at maybe quter to 9 and at quter to 9 in the morning it still be busy but increasingly less and less people if that makes any sense do you know what is the issue with topping sweet capacity on iPhone with Visa Master Card sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t um Fernando there’s
Two things that could happen and it’s something that is quite common and that is that but um there are certain times during the week and especially in the evenings when um the sua um purchasing on the iPhone is undergoing maintenance and therefore a lot of the times because
Of the time difference you try to top up and you can’t it doesn’t let you that’s one thing and number two it seems that there are some issues with some of the bank cards and which is why I’ve been telling people that if you could you could try
Some middle man in other words use an app like wise use an app like um revolute create an account um deposit some money it’s free and then you can create a virtual Apple pay card which you should be able to pay with passport passport is good too it
Has definitely has cute sanro um sanro Rio characters on the card I agree as you exit immigration into Airport terminal free go to your right and get the password passport card from the counter there yes o I am so impressed I just want to make sure that I haven’t missed Anything any suggests recommendations regarding EA eims um use my affiliate Link pmo versus sua they’re all the same they work exactly the same way I will not take the last trains I hate drunk people vomiting on the train platforms I have to say I’ve seen it um firsthand multiple
Times that last train is a nasty it can be nasty it can be very nasty actually to be honest so any more questions let us know in the chat which one is is best there is no such thing as which one is best they’re both exactly the same the best one is a
One that you can get your hands on basically I would say I wanted to plug one more time um that on the 15th of February I’m going to be in London and I am planning on doing a Meetup in London all the information will be on the um Discord so check it
Out if you are interested please let me know so I could start making some plans um if there’s enough people I will do a Meetup so yeah if you’re in the UK or in London join us no they’re not and they’re the same they work exactly the same way basically they’re
Interchangeable I don’t find rush hour that bad as long as you aren’t entering the city from the BBS yeah do I recommend a Pock a Wi-Fi or a SIM card I think it depends on the length of your trip and what type of consumption you’re going to be um doing
Because usually uh an eim or a SIM card is usually more convenient because it’s on on your phone you don’t have to carry like another device however usually Sim um SIM cards and eims they usually have like a limited amount of data and when it runs out it runs out so if you’re
Going to be there for a short amount of time and um you don’t need to share your connection with anyone and you know that you’re not going to be like a data hungry person then an eim will be great but if you need more data and you’re
Going to be traveling for longer and you know that you’re going to be using data um you know data app then a pocket Wi-Fi especially if you’re going to be um sharing the connection with people weather in March is still cold you can see snow in some parts of the country It
Will Rain loads most light rain during the day it will be warmer maybe sun sun Sunny Days that’s what Nuno says you can get pass mode from Japan experience they will mail it to Canada so we could are sold out you can you can get pasmo from all sorts
Of places but you can just you could buy them in in in Tokyo when you arrive so you don’t have to worry too much about that but thanks anyway um Jim can you recommend any bar or restaurants to hang out in the evening in Tokyo so many absolutely um again it
All depends on the on the area that um you’re going to be for example T zoku which is like a fast food like um Teryaki isaka sort of place it’s um easy to order and it’s a fun place and it’s cheap um I would also say teen baby for okonak in sh Shinjuku
Is one of my favorites thanks to D dang go who took me there um there’s just so many so graas p i land on the 10th is U founding they I believe what to expect for national holidays like that I’m not very sure if there are some
National holidays that are like full on things you know like no work and then there are some national holidays where people still work so it all depends on what type of national holidays if it is a national holiday where people aren’t working then expect crowded trains
Mainly and that might delay or it might mean that you might have to wait to get a train now I wonder ninja monkey why do you go to Japan also which places is your most favorite for me I want to be in OAS so badly
Um I like inaka but I also like the city and um favorite places difficult difficult difficult to question to answer to be honest I posted a question about pre purchasing events like team Lov planets don’t know if you already answered a similar question or missed it I must have missed
It but I’m going to say Michael that um I would 100% suggest that you do if you know your date and you have your itinerary um plan ahead and book some of those some of those um locations just so that you don’t miss out because it can
Get to the point where things get too busy and it means that you might have to to end up um you know like rescheduling and going another day and it just might you know throw throw you off I’ll have my pocket Wi-Fi 5G a day and my phone and my tablet will connected
Nice yes you can order an eim in advance however usually they last a month I believe so from from the moment that you activate it yes join the Discord and um ask ding gold for by recommendations absolutely are there any any um places to store bags Luggage in the city why isn’t
It coming out I don’t know okay let’s let’s go to this one I’ll go to that one thanks M so much Tim Tim is the next one yes Tim I’m going to write your name here Tim Tim Tim thank you so much um I’ve had trouble signing up to
The smart X app for shin can and booking management but my credit card keeps failing any tips for getting around this maybe if you have um Apple pay then maybe that I don’t know why but you’re not the first person actually in the last few days that’s asked me
Exactly the same question so signing up to the smart EX app maybe you might have to contact your pH your your bank to find out what’s going on um some Sometimes some um bank cards might um have a might not allow certain countries or whatever or like I mentioned if you
Use I’ve said it a few times on this stream but if you do use a um a travel currency app like revolute or wise you can actually create a virtual card which will have its own number which you can try you just need to like put some some credit into the into the
App and then you can use that so hopefully that will work for you so many great questions today I hope I hope it’s um all useful for everyone um okay back to to Jackson now and place to store bags laggage in City areas between check-ins at hotels yes 100%
First of all um you can usually drop off and leave your luggage in the hotel at the hotel um so that’s usually absolutely no problem head to the hotel leave it with them and um no problem second of all there are plenty of um lockers of different sizes that you can
Pay for at um at station so those are probably the two things I suggest golden week 1st to the 7th is the worst day to go to Japan absolutely expect long Lanes absolutely yes there you go most train stations do have luggage lockers absolutely yeah as soon as I arrive at Tokyo HED
Airport I have to go to turb 3 and look for the machine that will make me the welcome speaker right M card yes Eduardo where are you Landing usually oh it depends on where you’re Landing inanda what your might not be terminal free but yeah in in in essence
Yeah all the passw count counter yes Lanny absolutely yeah it seems that um there are some issues with Visa mainly you your pastor traveled to Japan what city locations would you recommend the best experiences for shadow puppets tea ceremonies or similar authentic Japanese experiences you know I’m going
To say even though I haven’t done the whole shadow puppet thing I’m definitely going to say that kazawa is a great City when it comes to to like um those sort of like cultural Arty creative sort of things for sure ch bus terminal has a good luggage storage counter in The Visitor Center
Yeah there’s loads like like um there’s loads of counters like that Tech in the city absolutely yeah luggage forwarding actually um the question that you asked about the luggage one of the things that you can do is you can actually when you get to the airport you can actually forward your luggage to
Your hotel so you don’t even have to carry your your um your luggage so it could be like a a a way to instead of spending money at a at a locker maybe it might cost you like 5 600 Yen or 800 Yen maybe for for a big um
Locker the Station instead of doing that you might pay a little bit more and they will literally forward luggage to your hotel so that when you get to your hotel it’s waiting for you yes it is a blessing Mark absolutely I use my ex via the web and
Never had any shoes what kind of carard do you use um Philip what airline do I use I use whatever Airline I can get the cheapest and the best um not necessarily the cheapest always but sometimes the best layovers I’ve used um Anna I’ve used finir I’ve used British British Airways
And I’ve used Jal I’ve flown via London I’ve flown via Istanbul oh Turkish Airlines also I’ve used via Istanbul via Brussels pH knows this very well via very stress stressed um Brussels trip I flown via Frankfurt I flown via Istanbul so I’ve done quite a few now I’m going in August September my
Girlfriend is Japanese and she recommended shirahama it’s in wakayama prefecture and looks really nice for Beach onon Town nice wakayama is nice so yeah can imagine to Japan seems many times annoying to me but last month I went to K laab kugi laab okay ready right in m
City Tokyo it was good but extremely popular ah you went awesome I want you to go there going to Kyo the end of September with my wife and a todler I’m getting the canc wide area and traveling around the area any suggestions recommends for restaurants good for toddlers um I would
Say generally maybe um family restaurants just search for Japan family restaurants um and those will be probably the best ones for you to be honest so reliable and convenient I felt it was so comfortable when staying in hakon in between Osaka K to travel luggage was there on arrival the only
Thing when it comes to luggage um forwarding is you got to remember to ask to tell them when you want it to arrive by because sometimes if you’re not careful it might not arrive on the day that you want it to Chocolate mour I’m going to Japan next week whoa I go
Back to Osaka do you know if I should recheck my luggage in Tokyo because I transfer transfer ineda to Nar Narita um you usually if it’s a different airport you do need to usually recheck in but it’s a question that only the airline is going to be able to answer not me
Unfortunately especially if it’s different um Airline ah ax there you go Gusto might be fan for toddler a robot cat brings your meals there you go nice saludos wenos hey Viv I have a Spanish Channel Aton tips all together check it out and you do not need to carry it
Through the city stairs up and down yeah absolutely Eduardo thanks and it’s not necessary to do classic Saker but can I also do a welcome Saker of course I mean the same also for classic yes you can how long it take from luggage to forward from Han to Tokyo they will tell
You it all depends on how busy they are and what time you arrive for example I arrived once at 7:30 in the morning and they told me that my luggage wouldn’t arrive till 6:00 p.m. in the afternoon because they were so busy that didn’t work for me that didn’t work for me but
Um yeah it might be okay for you is it possible to throw luggage to a hotel if you won’t be there to pick it up for a couple of days yes because usually what happens is they will store the luggage for you and they won’t deliver it to the hotel until the day
That you tell them to I’ve done it in the past I’ve actually forwarded my luggage for four or five days in the future to a hotel um it works this can actually be a great way to store your luggage tattoos are a tough subject I
Don’t expect to see them but how do I find price private Onsen um I think private Onsen can be found usually by asking the the actual onen the place that you’re going to be staying um whether or not they have private Onsen facilities and usually you need to make a
Booking I’ll be in mashiko for the first couple of days in of golden week I’m leaving Japan via VIA Narita Airport on the 29th of April will should be able to get taxis and basses to the train station um hi can’t answer that question other than than it’s going to be busy you
Might have to wait um taxis will still be running will it be very very in demand maybe guys I am starting to end the Stream So any specific very important questions now is the time for you to ask them before and um a quick reminder that I do actually
Do a similar stream on a Wednesday on my second Channel channel the happy gin so please subscribe to happy gin and set turn on all notifications because Wednesday is a midweek stream where also you can ask questions and we can help each other out a do you have any recommendations on
Where to enjoy best wagu in Tokyo or Osaka I could tell you my friend makes amazing wagu um also we can I find very the very bag strawberry I don’t know well maybe in department stores when it comes to strawberries and um wagu in Tokyo or Osaka probably you’ll be better
Off you probably have a better chance or better options in Osaka over Tokyo I would say can’t see any benefit for transfer laggage toour from airport but totally worth it for City to City transfers the Ben the benefit um Salva for luggage from airport to the air for the airport
To the hotel is that if your check-in is really really late in the day so if your checkin is um for example if you arrive at 7:00 in the morning and you can’t check in till 3 p.m. what are you going to do with the luggage right so that’s the
Benefit kobra is nice but there is also tashima beef in kinosaki my favorite beef in Japan is hea beef by the way hea beef okay can you link to that channel for us can somebody link um my other channel it’s um it’s I mean it’s that basically you’d have to go to it’s

I missed it😭😭
Hi buddy. All is good.
I am sorry I couldn't be "here"… but I hope my question (existential doubt) got an answer "How early in advance to book flight and hotel in 2024".. I have already liked (I had been the VERY fist one to to so) the video and left a coment in chat…😁
Thank you for your podcasts, a lot of useful info!❤
Watching from LA!
Sorry I missed it 😢
First timer here from South East England. Just found your videos and finding them very helpful. Thanks for your time.
I have recently discovered your channel – some great updates & tips even for repeat travellers such as putting Suica on iPhone, many others have mentioned it but you are the only one to actually show us how to add it – this was so useful for a new iPhone user like myself! Thank-you. I feel you have a contrasting point of view to other Ytubers being a traveller yourself – mentioning key things that matter like trains in Tokyo finishing around midnight, showing how small budget hotel rooms are & that double beds can be pushed against a wall, just random really useful info. The downside is your Sunday is our Monday in Australia so we are all at work when you do your live stream!
As always a great stream. Very informative for first time and seasoned travellers to Japan. Thanks again.
