We escape the tourist trail on the island of Phu Quoc to see what the local areas are like. We hired a scooter to explore the island and headed on the DT973 and DT47 to complete a circular route around the island. Starting at Bai Thom, we visit Thom Beach before heading south down the east coast to Rory’s Beach Bar. We have lunch at Banh Xeo Dai Duc before returning to Ong Lang. You will find Phu Quoc Contemporary Art Museum at Goca Art Bar and Gallery. We finished the evening with dinner at Sakura Restaurant, arguably the best restaurant on the island offering traditional Vietnamese food run by a local family of several generations.
