Travel vlogs, chapter 137.: The Olympiapark in Munich | 4k UHD travel vlog | #München | #Deutschland
Hello and welcome everybody from Munich from Germany the city was the host of the Olympic Games in 1972 and now we are in the Olympic Park of Munich this is what we’ll discover during this Vlog but I think in my opinion the main sing attraction will be
The Olympia TM which is the Olympic Tower of this park it’s a very high tower and we will climb to the top and from there we have an amazing view of the city because we have a clear sky and it’s absolutely amazing Spring weather here 20° 20 c° I really enjoy this
Beautiful weather so yeah let’s get started and uh also discover this beautiful Tower but also other places in this Olympic Park Munich is absolutely wonderful City absolutely beautiful we can find many green spaces Parks so we have many options uh to go outside in a weekend or also after work
And Germans usually do like sports there also small uh basketball field and you can see many Germans riding a bike so it’s very common here comparing to other cities I think Munich is a really Green City where are you so many parks also if I compare to the city where I’m
Living well it’s a stupid comparision actually because Munich is a world class City and my city is just a well not so popular a smaller City in Romania well not very small but still I could say that it’s not a good idea to compare it but
In my city there are not so many parks so that’s a big problem so this is the amazing Olympic Tower absolutely huge building it has a height of 291 M and the weight of uh 52,500 tons at a height of 190 M there’s also an observation platform as well as
A small rock and roll Museum housing various memorabilia which is sign posted as a rock museum outside the entrance it was constructed between 1965 and 1968 and we can also find a revolving restaurant at a height of 82 M which can seat 230 people so it’s a big restaurant a full Revolution takes
53 minutes so it’s moving very slowly the tower also serves as a broadcast tower and has one D Telecom maintenance elevator with a speed of 4 m per second as well as two visitor lifts with a speed of 7 m/ second which have a c of uh about 30 people per elevator the
Travel time is about 30 seconds Yeah it’s not this is the tallest building of mik and observation deck is split in uh two levels now we are on the first level which is a closed area you can see there are windows and uh we will climb to the next level in some uh minutes that is a open air
Area it would be an amazing experience if uh there wouldn’t be fre infants crying and I don’t know feels like they are tortured I don’t know it’s absolutely incredible they are yelling and crying all the time so yeah I think I will make the recordings from another level there’s
One more level and uh from there the fences are not so high like here so yeah let’s go there and uh take some recordings about uh the amazing view of Munich from here you can see how huge this Olympic Park is of course for the Olympic Games you need a large
Area and in front of us is the Olympic Stadium but the bavarians also constructed many other buildings for the Olympic Games you need more venues for such a huge event and today it will be some uh running competition I saw many Runners on the Metro already on the uban they were wearing uh
T-shirts of this running event so I hope that the stadium will not be closed until I get down from here because I wanted to present you the stadium also uh from a closer range not only as a bird eyye view we will see hopefully we can get closer so yeah
Absolutely amazing view from here now it’s a little bit more silent maybe the babies are sleeping now wow absolutely incredible Olympia Park covers really a huge area so many tennis grounds yeah for an Olympic Games you need many stadiums many places also practice grounds and everything so
Yeah there we can see the BMW W BMV W and next to it is the BMW Museum presented in the previous vlog it’s absolutely amazing view from uh the top they couldn’t even know that there’s a big logo of the carer company on the top of the Museum of course it cannot be
Seen from the grounds absolutely breathtaking View and over there in the background is the aliance arena which is uh the home stadium of Bayern Munich the famous record winning German football team actually also the stadium of who’s playing in the third division 18 60 Munich it’s uh the
Smaller team of uh the Barian City not everybody knows it but it has a long tradition so we shouldn’t underestimate this team they also uh had some history where when they were competitive and uh they had uh success so still many citizens of Mich prefer to
Cheer for this smaller team and not for the very famous and very popular Bayern Munich mostly the people living in the Carter called geesing in ging are many fans of uh 18 60 minut absolutely Ely Splendid view I think it was worth to come here entrance Fe is 13 Euro
For spee spee foreign speech Spech over there very far you can see the FL nurg the nurg palace on the left there is the church FR and K here and next to it is the main square of mik with the new city hall n house well with my own eyes I can see it
Uh and can identify it but I think in the camera is a little bit uh hard to spot these buildings unfortunately the rock museum is already closed and it can be accessed only virtually I don’t know why but they closed it in 2021 as you can read it [Applause] here that’s new for me I didn’t know that uh they already closed it you can take only a virual tour the Olympia Park is really huge it lays on 2.7 million square m and it’s part of Ober visen Feld formerly in the 18th century it was uh the training
Ground of the royal Bavarian Army so as I mentioned before it was home of the Olympic Games in 1972 now it is used like uh recreational center there are many family events organized and the locals enjoy walking and running here so yeah there are also some activities you can climb on the
Roofs of the Olympic stadium and uh there’s also zip line foreign spee forign spee Spe Good so my concerns became through we cannot go inside of the stadium because there is a running event the stadium is closed usually it is open for tourist and the entrance feeds only 3.5 Euro it’s not expensive so the stadium was built as the main venue for the
1972 Summer Olympics between 1968 and 1972 it had an original capacity of 77,000 for the Olympics and the stadium also hosted many major football matches including the 1974 FIFA World Cup final and also the UFA Euro 1988 final until the construction of the aliance arena for the 2006 FIFA World
Cup the stadium was home to FC Bayern Munich and also to 18 60 M it was designed uh so this stadium was designed by German architect gther Bish and engineer fry Auto with the assistance of John argeris the lightweight tent construction of the Olympia Stadium was considered revolutionary for its time
This included large sweeping canopies of acrylic glasses stabilized by Steel cables that were used for the the first time on a large scale the stadium also used for concerts and it has a famous history Rolling Stones Michael Jackson Guns and Roses Pink Floyd selin Dion Metallica and lots of others played here the
Stadium is also used for American Football [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] All [Applause] [Applause] Spe spe than you in front of us is the BMW W BMV W and uh over there is the BMW Museum which I presented in the previous vlog there’s also a large aquarium in the Olympia Park called sea life M so yeah if you’re interested about
Marine life then uh you should come and Discover it I will not go inside now because I just sold a large aquarium in Lan kab in Malaysia and I was thinking it’s not very interesting for me and anyway Munich is not really related to
Any SE so it’s uh yeah I just wanted to mention if you ever come here to the Olympia Park then this is also sightseeing attraction of the park and it’s more over interesting uh to visit it if you come with children most of the posters advertising it with the children so probably they
Enjoy it a lot so this was the Vlog about the Olympic Park of Munich I hope that you enjoyed it and if that’s so please subscribe to my channel if you didn’t do it yet it’s very important to push on the Bell icon because this is how you
