7 | Southern France Family Bike Tour – Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port to Avignon
After finishing the communo Franz and taking in the energy of s Jean piore we headed out toward Ortez since we had some dates to keep we incorporated some train segments on this stretch as we made our way East through tulo and melier before continuing to ARL and finishing in Avenol oh watch out we’re getting a high volume and frequency of poop patches on the road did you do that did you do that we were surprised to see pilgrims on their way to St John from other parts of France how we’re just leaving SE sen and got some groceries and
Snacks uh it’s been threatening rain all day just felt a couple of drops so we have 27 kilm to go so hopefully maybe we’ll get lucky and not get rained on these are all flowers that have fallen from the trees above us there’s some On All right back into the rain that’s cool though for Mortez we took a train to Cho we put the bikes in storage and then took another Train to Paris where we were regular tourists for a bit it was a nice break but before too long we were ready to get back to too
And back on the bikes in our storage Cube it is empty well except for me bike but it’s about to be empty we are loading up and getting ready for riding today We that’s a lot of the little duckies I’m not sure I trust that Heron over there if that’s a heron I don’t know that you think that Heron would eat a duck I’m not sure he’s looking he eat a duck I don’t know I don’t think so but I think he probably could
Not Sure after a wonderful two weeks off of the bikes to be regular tourists uh we’re back on and we’re going along the canal de midi we uh started yesterday from too and we’re headed to Kasson which has a really impressive Castle these are the locks for the
Canal so we’re heading up we’re almost at the top and then we’ll be going we’ll go downhill on the other side after a few more kilometers ex uh I think this is better down Here right now not so puddly All this it’s pretty nice So we ended up taking a train out of kassan to melier and then we rode yesterday to ARL and we are uh now headed to AOL where our plan is to take a train out of AEL up the ran River a bit so we can get uh closer to the
Mountains and we’re going to go up the Drome River uh starting tomorrow [Applause] Ah Woo Pao C wa While southern France had its charms we couldn’t wait to get back to the mountains our next video will take us up to the verore plateau in the western French Alps as we head to groby and then up and over the Alps on our way toward Italy

Regarding the ducklings and heron at 5:16 I found this on the internet: "…ducks are the rabbits of the avian world — essentially every critter with forward-facing eyes wants a bite of them. The threats are even broader for ducklings, which are consumed by practically anything large enough to complete the task, from bullfrogs to herons."
(I can't wait for your next video, so am re-watching an old one as the next best thing.)
