Join us on a wonderful day exploring the beautiful German scenery around Tegernsee. We’ll follow a trail that leads to the peak at 1448m, called Baumgartenschneid, and pass by a lovely restaurant at Neureut, offering stunning views of the mountains and the lake.

➡️ How to Get There. We started our journey at the Munich main station, taking a regular train that took around two hours to reach Tegernsee station. Once there, the trail begins right from the station for an exciting day ahead.

➡️ We headed up to the Neureut and a charming restaurant there, boasting stunning views of the mountains and the lake. Then we continued to Gindelalm and a hut, where a cozy hut offered beautiful views. Here, you can choose to turn onto another trail leading to Schliersee, which is also very enjoyable. The final destination was a Baumgartenschneid, which stands tall at 1448m, rewarding us with stunning panoramic views after the trail.

➡️ The beginning of the trail is easy, and you have the option to go downhill back to the city and train station. We opted for more challenge, heading to Baumgartenschneid, where the path became tougher, especially in the forested areas.
