A Day of Neuschwanstein Castle (Episode. 3)

Hello traveling spirits and welcome to nanstein Castle a modern-day 19th century castle that was also the inspiration for Walt Disney’s Sleeping Beauty Castle today we’re Che spending the day checking it out the Castle is located in the remote Municipality of shal about an hour and a half by car ride away from Munich

Germany one important thing before we start if you’re planning to visit the interior of the castle make sure to buy your tickets and ENT free time in advance but more importantly are these words if you’re not present at the castle entrance at the indicated time your ticket loses its validity and

Cannot be refunded this can make or break your entire plan because if you’re late you cannot get another time slot especially during High Seasons or peak hours of the day now our ticket was slaughtered from 9:00 a.m. a time we Hop was early enough to avoid the crowds but

It meant getting there from a hotel that was in Munich as early as possible we we got up at 6:00 a.m. with a budget of 2 and 1/2 hour hours to get to the front doors of nanstein will we make it hi I’m Ray and my family likes to

Travel to see new and exciting places so I thought I would document these adventures and share them with you please like And subscribe to support our adventures and let’s get right to It home where we are ever strong in the world world that we made I still hear you in the breeze see your shadows in the trees holding on memories never Change it’s currently 8:00 a.m. and we are just arriving at the outskirts of schena I didn’t get any footage of our early morning wake up and our drive out of Munich because we were too busy getting ready to navigate our way out of Munich New schwanstein Castle is located

On a Hilltop it’s not actually accessible by private car or at least they don’t encourage you to drive up to the top only to be turned away instead there are a few options available when you arrive number one walking up the hill it takes you about 30 to 40 minutes

It’s entirely free but we didn’t have time to even consider this option given we just about 30 or 40 minute away still by car number two bus this one is one of the better one of the best options at the base of base of nanstein Castle is a

Little touristy Village called henal and has plenty of parking space given that we chose to go early in the morning and will’ll be one of the first people there we didn’t have to worry about parking at all but if you’re going later in the day and need parking I suggest you give

Yourself plenty of time to find it you don’t want that gate closing on you do you Double go to and then walk on the bus The is this line We arrived just in time we arrived right on the time like to the minute on time yeah to the minute on time the door opened just as we got here crazy now the staff here in New schwanstein Castle don’t allow pictures or videos to be taken inside and as a side note

Reserve tours are mandatory so if you want to see the interior of the castle before you get there let me show you this post card that we got from one of the many gift shops that they have available this Castle was built and renovated by King Ludwig II of Bavaria

And it was intended as a private residence for him so if you can see a lot of these rooms are intent for private use and are his stuff like his personal studies his dining room up here and his bedroom all the way up there his bedrooms I believe also his

Family is allowed and his servants also do have their own quarters which is not shown here now this postcard shows quite a bit of ornate gold that we didn’t actually see when we were inside I believe a lot of it was still under ARR restoration and including the inter

Exterior as well this picture really shows on a bright sunny day just how much gold is gold coloring he used inside but we went on a cloudy day so it’s quite dark and actually really hard to see a lot of the details one of the most impressive rooms though was the

Chapel which is right here the chapel was in reminiscent of Renaissance the castle itself is under a lot of restoration so it’s not accessible to every every single room but these are the main rooms they show you on the tour the tour itself is quite is not very

Long I believe it’s uh less than half an hour and we’ll uh let you see what our opinion was on the entire experience back to the video yeah oh this I think this is a current model right yeah it doesn’t have the church the chapel this is just what it currently looks like

You want the other one then well that’s a German hot dog huh careful you don’t Dr that that much look at Dad having a hot dog and coffee while watching a beautiful scenery Mountain light huh M it takes a little bit to take okay ready to go to the bridge

A okay that’s a lot of people what is that mean how many people oh okay looks like they calculate how many people are on there too and stuff what’s the first probably that’s the maximum and then underneath is how many people are currently I’m Fore former hunting Hutt from King lck II is now a mountain retreat take you 40 minutes to walk down that way cash only oh cash only cash only with for only cash the bus stop is the parking area P4 so if you want to take the bus you

Should go park at P4 if you’re driving here now you can just walk 40 minutes up you pay for the tickets on the bus to the driver you buy one way they give you a ticket to return right is that how it works you buy two if you buy round trip

They give you a ticket to give back to them yeah yeah and then if you buy one way they don’t get ticket Lu yeah probably right probably we bought we bought round trips we you just gave it to the driver yeah he took it that’s how it

Works I thought he just wanted to see it but he took it he just took it you okay this is the small village at the base of the castle there are shops restaurants hotels here plenty of souvenir shops more now oh it smells like horse here for look there are Swans hey perfect and n Nanstein This place is like a painting and that’s the One Oh maybe later not today no thank you thank You For You can take a horse carriage out but I feel like it’s really tiring on the horses yeah they have to climb going all the way up I think horse go this way they are they’re also you can also take it up the hell oh yeah yeah up to the

Castle oh there’s more there’s another restaurant Hotel Cafe here it’s lot more here too parking restaurant you want dad watch out the road I know not I mean the map M sence go that way I think look at all these red buses that way parking oh wait hold on that way oh

Name it’s just 5 minutes slower this way oh slower look at this cute little town here outside well more like a village little houses the hotels actually probably a lot more hotels here than houses there’s a lot of hotels here that’s a hotel TS yeah defitely all right and there’s the

Castle we’re leaving now back to Munich how was it goodful you wonderful trip finish glad we made it Made it in although if you just want to come here and look around the outside it’s just as beautiful but if you want to go in you got to make sure you’re on Time

Hello Traveling Spirits! Come along with me and my family on our adventures around Europe. Today we spent the day at Neuschwanstein Castle, a very popular tourist spot to see a magnificent modern day castle!

If you need tickets to get inside for the mandatory guided tour:
https://www.neuschwanstein.de/englisch/tourist/

There isn’t as much to say here that isn’t already in the video so check it out! The castle is gorgeous from the outside, and while the inside is also pretty cool, it was a bit too stressful to do. After doing the tour, I would only recommend if you don’t mind the crowds and have the time to do it.
