Europe 2004 Video 4 – Provence 2

Continuing in Provence, this episode of our 2004 trip brings you along with us as we enjoy what we continue to refer to as “our perfect day” — the crystal-clear waters and green river-plants of L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue and Fontaine-de-Vaucluse (where I found the most majestic setting for a urinal on the entire planet, and Lynette found the tree she wanted to capture for the tattoo on her back), the spectacular hilltop town of Gordes, the nearby Village des Bories, and the incredible views and red/ochre cliffs of Rousillon (where we had an amazing dinner). Then we came home to our gite and was met with a surprise — Carl who had been tipped off about where to find us. I forget the details … was his arrival known to just Donna (who had coordinated with him) or to all of us shortly before Lynette got the surprise of a lifetime?

The next morning, we were joined by Rob, David and Mary, who were staying in a nearby town (Orange, maybe?). Then we went to Avignon, where I pretty much avoided the whole papal palace thing, and instead did video shots of grill-work, manhole covers and the like.
