Europe 2004 Video 3 – Provence 1
Here is part 3 of the continuing saga of our 2004 trip to France and Italy. This is during the first part of our stay in Provence, on the outskirts of a little town called La Baume de Transit, meeting up with Donna and Bernie to stay in a former rabbit abattoir called Domaine de Tranzy (which apparently still exists, you can go there, according to Google Maps, although I’ve no idea whether it’s still run by the same nice British couple).
Anyway, from there we explored the surrounding area and towns, including (in this snippet of video) Saint-Paul-Trois-Châteaux, Suze-la-Rousse, Orange (the nearest bigger town), Séguret (where we had a picnic in the same hilltop spot where Len and I had picnicked for his 50th birthday 7 years earlier), Vaison-la-Romaine, Montségur-sur-Lauzon, Grignan, the Village troglodytique de Barry near Bollène, and then a bit further afield to Aix-en-Provence and the Fondation Vasarely, and then driving back through another lovely little hillside town called Bonnieux.
This video includes extensive coverage of Donna’s hair, and an investigation into whether the oiseau-mouche was actually a hummingbird or a moth wearing hummingbird attire.
